Allah allows &blis to do this only as a test o% %aith. Those inclined to $nd$e sel%Fimportance easily listen to &blis1 those who are h$mble and obedient see, re%$ge in Allah and also logically analyEe tho$ghts o% anity. /n the Day o% 5$dgment, Iblis will not accept any responsibility for misguiding us. And )atan will say when the matter is decided@ B&t was Allah 0ho ga e yo$ a promise o% tr$th@ & too promised b$t & %ailed in my promise to yo$. & had no a$thority o er yo$ e4cept to call yo$ b$t yo$ listened to me@ then reproach not me b$t reproach yo$r own so$ls. & cannot listen to yo$r cries nor can yo$ listen to mine. & reJect yo$r %ormer act in associating me with Allah. For wrongdoers, there m$st be a grie o$s 'enalty.B 61I.22: &t is $nbecoming o% created h$man beings to be arrogant, insolent or ha$ghty. The only appropriate response is adoration. To help consolidate o$r $nderstanding, Allah relates stories o% what happened to arrogant people erses people who belie ed. As an e4ample, d$ring the Battle o% Badr, the disbelie ers embar,ed towards the belie ers with an insolent attit$de.

8.47 And be not like those who started from their homes insolently, to be seen of men and to avert (them) from the path of Allah: for Allah en ompasses all that they do.

Dypocrites and those who do not p$t their intelligence to good $se are prey to )atan3s s$ggestions. There is no %orgi eness %or arrogance and insolence.

8.12 (f yo# o#ld only see when the an$els take the so#ls of the #nbelievers (at death) (how) they smite their fa es and their ba ks (sayin$): %+aste the penalty of the bla3in$ fire. 8.14 %-e a#se of (the deeds) whi h yo#r (own) hands sent forth: for Allah is never unjust to His servants:
