INTRODUCTION:
The term personality stems from the Latin word persona means looks at the young man. The personality different from individual to individual. Collections of so many traits or characteristics known as personality. Today I am going to take seminar on personality development.

DEFINITION:
Personality is that which permits a prediction of what a person will do in a given situation - Cattell 1970.

PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT: it is defined as improvement in all spheres of an individual`s life, be it friends, in the office or in any others.

PROCESS OF PERSONALITY DEBELOPMENT:

The process of personality development focusing on Boosting one`s confidence, Improving communication and language, speaking abilities, Developing certain hobbies or skills.

1. DETERMINANTS OF PERSONALITY DEVELOMENT: Heredity: It refers those factors that were determined at conception physical structure, gender, muscle composition and reflexes. Environment: Environmental factors that extent pressure on our personality from actions are the culture in which are raised our early conditioning. Situation: It influences the effect of heredity and environment on personality. 2. Put positive interpretation on other people`s behavior: When we are interpreting other people behavior negatively we just reflecting our own mentally to this situation. In contrast when interpret positively, chances that other people may realize its negatively and change emotions. Be a good listener: Effective communication is 50% listening, 25% speaking, 15% reading, 10% writing. So when we listen carefully then it means 50% communication is done. Be enthusiastic: Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm. Give an honest and sincere appreciation: Honest and sincere application makes one feel important and promote these positive qualities in him. Acceptance of mistake while doing: Mistakes are to be learned from situation. So accept it immediately and make change easily. Discuss but do not agree: Arranging is like lighting a losing battle .even if one win in the argument, the cost may be more and deformation of character. People who listen to gossip we are guilty as those who do the gossiping.

Be dependable and practice loyalty: Announce of loyalty is worth more than a power of elevens. Practice honesty, integrity and sincerity: Lies may have speed, but the truth has endurance. Honesty integrity and sincerity have more enduring effect than the opposite. Practice humility: Don not is cheated regularly to forgive. Be understanding and caring: The best way to understood is to be understanding. And the basis of real communication. Develop a sense of humor: Have a sense of humor and you will pressure the ability to laugh at yourself. It senses of humor make a person like able and attractive. Show empathy: It is very important characteristics of positive personality. People with empathy ask themselves the question how, would. I feel some one treated me that way.

4. DEVELOPMENT OF POSITIVE PERSONALITY: Sub conscious programming: our conscious mind like a watchman and subconscious mind is a stone of all the previously programmed or continued information / knowledge bodies. So subconscious programming personality means putting positive believes / information into the store without the knowledge of the watchman (conscious). Reinforced programming / conscious programming: Auto suggestion and repetition of the positive trait`s despite negative response from comparison with the store house also gives success in programming for personality trait. Auto suggestion are like a commercial about super you or future super you. They influence both your conscious and subconscious mind in the long run shaping your personality and attitude. Defensive approach: Protest or deny the negative traits at its very beginning of the entering in the subconscious one. Imaginary anchoring or invisible counseling committee: Comprising of great personalities of your choice are consent from there great minds at time or situation. Physical action / body language approach: It is the positive practice or experiencing desired traits whether the desired perfection achieved or not. Generally said that our personality traits control our body language. Domino effect - direct exposure: It is a good personalities or environment. Steps in developing personality development: Step 1: it is wise to always be responsible for the decisions you make. Don`t blame other`s if something is your fault, you should also be considers the others. Step 2: Always remain positive in face of adversity. There is no need to feel down about your lot in life. If something is bothering you, do not let it get the best of you remain positive at all time.

 Step3: Always think before you speak and you should always listen to others as well. Step 4: Help others with their own personality development. In doing so can teach you more about the human. Step 5: Always be honest: The come down to being honest to you and to others. Step 6: Don`t be a rumor manager: If you come across some juicy gossip, keep it yourself. It makes you look petty and foolish if all you ever talk about. Step 7: Keep your head in your own business and don not concern yourself with business of others. PURPOSES OF PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT: Developing certain hobbies or skills. Improving communication and language, speaking abilities. It helps them to build and develop relationships. It helps in your career growth. It helps to improve financial needs. It helps to realize your capababilities. It helps to make as happier and chest full persons.

THEORIES OF PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT: a) Psychoanalytic theories: This theory focused on the social and emotional development of individuals. This theory suggests that underlying motives and wishes can explain behavior that might otherwise not make. It also emphasizes a person past history and interactions with in the family. It also emphasize the significant aspects of adolescence behavior can be seen to stem from children`s unresolved conflicts about their relationships with parents. According to Freud`s personality consists of three major system - id, ego and super ego.

Id: Id represents uninhibited impulses. Id is the original personality system out of which the ego and super ego develop. Id continues to represents the inner world of subjective reality. It entirely unconscious and often refused to as the reserves of psycho energy. Id operates by the pleasure principle. For the id pleasure means a state of relative inactively or of low energy levels, pain means a tension. Mental structure develops from id. Ego: Ego evolves out of the id to enable the organism to deal with reality. Only the ego can distinguish between things in the mind and things in the external world. Ego is the terms for all mental functions having to do with persons environment. Ego temporarily suspends the pleasure principle which demands immediate action and by means of the secondary process realistic. Ego makes a plan for satisfying a need and then tests the plan to see if it works. Ego functions include perception, learning memory judgment, self- awareness, and language skills. Super Ego: It includes two elements, the conscious and the ego ideal. The ego must try to gain gratification for id impulses without generating strong feelings of guilt from the super ego. Super ego evolves out of the ego and represents parental value or the society`s standard as the parent have interpreted them. FREUD STAGE OF DEVELOPMENT: According to this theory; personality development is thought to occur in a sequence of stage.
