Implemented the transmission and reception of TETRA enhanced data service (TEDS) QAM modulated bursts.Implementation of the User Equipment (UE) reception of the UMTS downlink reference measurement channel (12.2 kbps) and the HSDPA Fixed Reference Channel Definition H -Set 1 downlink reference measurement channel. The project involves the writing of programs in the C language for the layer 1 of the release 6 of the 3GPP UMTS protocol. Specific achievements on the project are stated below: Prepared Software Requirements Specification (SRS) documents for the project. This is the document that states the requirements that are agreed upon with the client on this project. Prepared the High Level Design (HLD) document for the project. This document lays-out the design of each unit in the project. Prepared the Application Programming Interface (API) document for the project. This document lays -out how other programs will interact with programs that are developed in this project. Implemented the User Equipment (UE) reception of the downlink measurement channels in c programming language Developed a simulation environment for testing the developed units. MATLAB and Simulink were used to simulate the transmission end of the Implementation of the UMTS downlink reference measurement channel (12.2 kbps) and the HSDPA Fixed Reference Channel Definition H-Set 1 downlink reference measurement channel.
