Group Fitness Class Descriptions


Strength Training: Cardio Strength & Power 50: (Intermediate) Running drills, strength work and explosive power moves are incorporated in this muscle toning and fat burning class. Circuit Breaker/Weights & Cardio: (Intermediate) A total body program that combines an intense hour of cardio drills followed by strength training segments that will short circuit your muscles. Power Abs, ABS on the Floor and Power Core: (All Levels) This is a class that focuses on the abdominal region to strengthen and tone. Weight Training: (All Levels) This intense conditioning for the total body is designed to reshape and redefine muscles. The use of bands and hand-held weights and the Reebok step are incorporated. Cardio Ball & Abs/Core Fit & More (Intermediate/Advanced) This class targets strength, power, and balance exercises for physical conditioning and peak performance. Medicine balls, weights, and body bards are used. Definition guaranteed! TRX Suspension Training: (All Levels) This the original body-weight portable training tool that builds strength, balance, flexibility and core stability for people of all fitness levels Nitro: (Intermediate/Advanced) This a high intensity total body workout that utilizes weights, bands, balls and interval training. Just Clif/The Boxers Workout; (Intermediate) A dynamic weight training class, this was designed by Just Clif, a professional boxing trainer. Experience all the training techniques a real boxer uses: speed drills, weights, medicine ball, and kicks! Burn The Barre: (Intermediate) A ballet inspired strength workout for your total body, designed to burn your muscles out with numerous isolated repetitions. Cardio classes: Tabata: (Intermediate/Advanced) Tabata interval training is the single most effective type of high intensity interval training, it is also the most intense by far, and surprisingly it is the shortest in duration. Tabata training mixes boost of intervals with weight lifting circuits keeping your heart rate high throughout the whole workout. Step Right Up: (Intermediate/Advanced) A low-impact aerobics workout suited for the intermediate/advanced student. This class will provide maximal cardiovascular conditioning with creative and challenging choreography. Step N Sculpt: (Intermediate/Advanced class) A Cardio Step training with intense intervals of strength work in between stepping will work your whole body and keep you burning fat the whole class. Boot Camp (Intermediate/Advanced) A military-style class, you will be taken through speed drills, floor exercises, and cardiovascular exercises. Bring your fitness level to the next step! Power 45: (Intermediate/Advanced) Non-stop power moves with running drills, this class will give you a guaranteed cardio challenge! Triple XXX:- (Intermediate/Advanced) A 30-minute class on the 3M track, it will work your entire body. This class includes lunges, agility drills, speed work and military style calisthenics. Be ready to work hard, burn and sweat in this class! Spinning: (All Levels) This class is held in our specially designed spinning room. It is a cardiovascular workout suited for all fitness levels. See further description on the reverse side of the spinning schedule. Tai-Fit: (All Levels) This cardio kickboxing class works the entire body, especially the cardiovascular system. Burn calories and strengthen your body. Cardio Kickboxing: (All Levels) This class combines the benefits of strengthening and cardiovascular work. Burn maximum calories while strengthening and toning the lower body. Interval Training: (All Levels) This class focuses on cardiovascular conditioning and strengthening using the rebounder, weights and more. Classes vary between 30 and 60 minutes. Rowing: (All Levels) This class will work your entire body with the use of the rowing machine. Reap the benefits of cardiovascular conditioning along with strengthening for upper and lower body muscles. Yoga Classes: See description on reverse side of Mind/Body schedule. Aqua Fit: (All Levels) This cardiovascular and conditioning workout is done in the pool to decrease joint stress. Morning Movement: (All Levels) A low impact class that also incorporates weights, it will wake up your body and mind. Dance: Zumba: (Intermediate) This class fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away. This is a great dance workout! Cardio Jam: (Intermediate) This class uses fun, upbeat music, and energetic moves, where cardio & full body moves come together to give you a great body workout...
