SAMTEL COLOR, Plant #1 is a world-class plant in terms of automation involving ROBOTS (ABB &
Mitsubishi ), various types of PLCs SCADA, Pneumatics, hydraulics, and servo systems.
Current Roles & Responsibilities:
⇒ Presently Head of Maintenance Department.
⇒ Ensuring implementation of all company initiatives like Six Sigma, TPM, 5S-3M, ISO 9001
⇒ Ensuring Analysis of Breakdowns and Root cause elimination through innovations and POKA-YOKA.
⇒ Ensuring parallel implementation of learning.
⇒ Mentoring, Guiding and Technical Training of Maintenance Members.
⇒ Ensuring maintenance expenditures within the allocated budget.
⇒ Technical guidance and involvement in critical and honed problem.
⇒ Ensuring competitions of Index reduction projects, Productivity related improvement projects across all

 Development and Maintenance of advance maintenance systems as required for a new
ramping line. (Already developed for Line 1 & Line 2)
 Deployment of Preventive Maintenance / Spare parts Management / Visualization /
Documentation / TPM / History cards / MIS & Reports
 Highly Focused approach on Competency and Skill Development of the team
 Identification and execution of breakthrough projects of OEE
 Preparing, control and Tracking the budget for Maintenance function.
 Technical Support to Maintenance Team to ensure smooth functioning of the production line
 Reviewing mechanism self and the team
o KRA Setting
o Shift, daily and weekly report analyses and counter actions
o MIS and reports generations
o Annual business plan and action plan for execution
 Cross functional coordination with production, purchase, process
 External Interface with machine supplier, for ram up and for resolution of design
improvements

Major Projects Handled;

• Picture Tube Tracking through Bar Coding Technology Project.


An enterprise integration project for tracking the product during various manufacturing stages. The
project involved collection of data through barcode scanners network and processing of data on
CIMPLICITY HMI SCADA Software running through a network computer.

• Commissioning of Picture Tube Manufacturing Line (Line #1 & Line# 2) involving installation and
Commissioning in coordination with Mitsubishi and Hirata team (Japan).
• Productivity improvement & Index Reduction of Line (Line #1 & Line# 2) Reducing cycle time of
machines and catalyst in Mind set broken.
