Hydrant and Hose/Equipment Cabinet

HOSE CABINET Adjacent to the Hydrant, a Hose Cabinet shall be provided. The cabinet shall be constructed from GRE and contain the following equipment: 2 of 15m x 38mm lay flat fire hose completed with couplings. 1 of Multipurpose fire hose nozzle 1 set Hydrant spanner (if required by type of coupling) The cabinet will be supplied with ventilation and drain hole in bottom of cabinet, and a single door witch latch in fully open position for easy access to equipment during an emergency.

LAY FLAT FIRE HOSES The hoses are non-percolating with heavy duty, circular woven, double jacket, and spun polyester construction. The hoses are lightweight, flexible and kink resistance with a minimum burst pressure of 4500kPa. The hose have a fully encapsulated jacket fibre coating that are resistant to oils, diesel fuel, chemicals and seawater. Each hose are equipped with male and female 65mm/gunmetal couplings. The hose and couplings are designed for offshore use and compatible with seawater/AFFF.

FIREWATER / FOAM HYDRANT The firewater / foam hydrant will supply firewater and when selected foam to dedicated areas on the helideck. The hydrant is connected to the firewater ringmain via a flanged connection. The hydrant valve is supplied with couplings and blind caps secured with a chain. FIRE HOSE NOZZLE The fire hose nozzle are specifically designed and manufactured for firefighting in the harsh and corrosive marine environment. The nozzle meets the stringent requirements, and is a jet/fog type with excellent performances. The nozzle is ideal for the application of AFFF and aeration foam tubes are available for most models.

HYDRANT SPANNER If required by type of coupling, the cabinet is supplied with a hydrant spanner for easy operation of jammed/fastened couplings.
