Are westerners friendly?


A common misunderstanding of this lesson is that all

westerners do not form relationships or have friends. Westerners tend to have more distant friends and fewer (perhaps none) really close friends But these friendships are real
They are selfish and self-centered

Of course, some people in every culture are selfish and self-centered But many Westerners are very empathetic and generous even to strangers
