The Huacaya section will be run as a Short Fleece Competition. i.e. All alpacas must have a maximum fleece length of 60mm and a minimum recommended fleece length of 30mm
This show is run under the Rules and Regulations of AANZ Conditions of Entry: 1. All animals must belong to a clear TB herd where whole herd testing is performed in accordance with the AANZ voluntary TB scheme. Copies of current TB certificates to be enclosed with entry forms. 2. All alpacas entered in Championship Classes must be registered with the IAR and carry a brass ear tag displaying its corresponding IAR number. 3. The exhibitor is the owner(s) listed on the alpacas registration certificate. In the case of a registered lease, the lessee is deemed the owner. 4. The age of the alpaca is its age on the day of the show. 5. All exhibitors or handlers must place their animals in the pens allotted by the Convenor. Placement of animals in trade pens will only be done with the permission of the Chief Steward. 6. No animal shall be removed from the show prior to the vote of thanks being made to the judge and stewards (following the non competition classes) without the permission of the Chief Steward.
Each exhibitor must supervise and control their animals at all times and shall be liable for any hazards created or accident / illness or damage caused by the action of themselves or their animals at the show grounds. Exhibitors must comply with the appropriate animal legislation and the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992. No person is permitted in any judging ring without express permission of the head steward of that ring. Only persons directly responsible for an exhibit are permitted in the marshalling area.

Sires Progeny - Huacaya - This class is for the exhibiting of progeny from the same Sire. The sire is not shown. Progeny are shown in groups of two and can be of mixed sex, age and colour but must have been shown in their respective Championship classes at the same show. Progeny can be owned by different exhibitors. This class is to be entered on the day of the show - the entry fee, Sires name and the names of his progeny are to be registered with the Chief Steward before the commencement of the judging of the Special Classes Sires Progeny - Suri (Details as above)
