My vacation on a tropical island to Tioman is a trip which will always be in my mind.

Tioman Island is one of a popular Malaysian island resort which shot to fame as the island of Bali Hai in the Rodger's & Hammerstein movie of ' outh !acific'. It started to be "ust a normal vacation at first but it ended up to be the most beautiful event which has happened in my life. I went to Tioman with my best friend. #n the first day$ we started our "ourney with a boat ride. %e boarded the high&speed ferry from 'luang ferry terminal. The "ourney to Tioman Island too( us ) hours. %e was so e*cited to be on the boat ride but the e*citement soon wore off once we were in the open sea with nothing much to see e*cept the monotonous scenery of mainland Malaysia in the ha+y distance. %e was only e*posed to the open water and the cloudless blue s(y. The visions of renowned Bali Hai from the movie ' outh !acific' fleeted through my mind as we neared the island. %e arrived at the "etty in front of Ber"aya Tioman and later boarded another boat which brought us to the "etty at 'ampung !aya. %e got down and wal(ed to Tioman !aya Resort. The resort would be our home for the ne*t , nights. -fter chec(ing in the resort$ I bumped into a tall$ dar( and handsome guy at the lobby. He ac(nowledged me with a nod and a smile on his face. He pic(ed up my room (ey and gave it to me. I too( it from him and .uic(ly wal(ed away with embarrassment without even than(ing him. The ne*t day$ was a snor(elling trip. %e were ta(en to the snor(elling spot in a boat. In the boat$ I met the guy whom I bumped on the previous day. He smiled at me again. I had mi*ed feeling that day$ being nervous on the snor(elling trip and also feeling embarrassed loo(ing at the guy I met the previous day. I was rather nervous to go snor(elling but my best friend managed to convince me. In past$ I had a very bad drowning e*perience which made me have water phobia. %ith the mi*ed feeling$ I dived into the sea holding my best friend/s hand. The moment the sea water touched me$ my water phobia concurred me. I had difficulties in breathing. I was struggling in the water despite having all the swimming gadgets. -t that moment$ a muscular arm grabbed my hand and pulled me out of the water.

0eep in my heart$ I (now that the muscular arm belongs to the guy whom I bumped into at the lobby yesterday. I was pulled up into the boat. lowly$ I was losing my sight. -fter being unconscious for about 1 minutes I could hear my best friend/s voice calling out my name. I opened my eyes slowly. 2ater$ I got to (now from my best friend that I was saved by the guy whom I met at the lobby. The following day$ I met the guy at the dining hall while having brea(fast. I wal(ed towards him and ac(nowledged him with a smile. I than(ed him for saving my life and also apologi+ed for bumping into him at the lobby the previous day. I thought its better than never. %e got to (now each other and became friends. Then$ I spent most of my time going aound with him. He also too( me snor(elling around the house reefs at !aya beach. He was right beside me though out the snor(elling trip. It was fascinating to observe the fishes and I also noticed a lot of blac( sea urchins on the seabed or wedged in roc(s and crevices. I felt very comfortable spending time with him. -fter spending , nights in Tioman with him$ I reluctantly went bac( home. %e still (ept in touch. -fter (nowing him for about si* months$ our friendship bloomed into love. 2ater$ we decided to get married. 3ow$ I/m married to the guy who had saved my life. My first holiday island trip had been a lot more en"oyable than e*pected. This would always be a holiday trip to remember because its where I found my life partner.
