# #.1 'he theory of lang(age and mind presented here is a dialectical one. :o it )ill not attempt to define either lang(age or mind !y gen(s and differentia: !y listing a n(m!er of traits that m(st !elong to )hatever is to co(nt as lang(age or mind and that ;ointly represent <the totality of= )hat is characteristic <essential>= to lang(age or mind.
