Paul / Laurie Harsh

Our Son-in-Law Paul Harsh is founder/pastor of First Baptist Church of Lady Lake, Lady Lake, Florida. In 2012 Paul had 3 major surgeries - one each in July, August and December. He presently has a colostomy and we are praying it can be reversed. He had an appointment in September with Dr. Landman at the Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, Florida. They performed a series of tests including an MRI. The decision - he is to lose 50 pounds and return for a full evaluation. He has joined Weight Watchers to lose the weight. If reversal is possible they want him to be in the best possible physical condition. We ask for your prayers!

North Road Baptist Church 150 Anniversary

A series of Evangelistic meetings were held in 1863 which resulted in the organizing of the church with 27 members. Three ladies collected $40.00 in gold to purchase land for the church site. In 1948 the church experienced a Genuine Revival under the preaching of Al Troester and Tal McNutt. The church shared a Pastor with the Wilson's Beach Baptist Church for 50 years. In 1954 the church called their own Pastor and have had a total of 10 Pastors during this period. Might it be said of this church that it has been faithful to the early doctrine that was adopted - "That the Bible is our sole authority of faith and practice."
