Three runes mark the top of this vellum sheet where a dirge appears in Common. A successful Knowledge: runes check (DC 15) reveals they represent bound, execution, and ceremony.
Lore: Delve Into Collective Memory, Knowledge: magic/ceremony DC 25: The Executioners Song is often sung at state sponsored killings. It has seen widespread use by the dragons, especially Krovacatharis the Seeker. The Order of the Axe and the Diamond Throne reserve this only for those who have escaped execution though being raised or finding undeath. Abilities: It only functions when all of the following conditions are met: The individual is helpless or is cooperating with their execution. Has been found guilty by the local legal authority with no other legal appeal. Has been sentenced to death for their crime. Has been given time to perform a final minor ceremony (such as a farewell ceremony, but not a power ritual). Has been allowed to speak their final words.

This appears to be a white clear oil or lotion that has a faint luminescence.
Lore: Delve Into Collective Memory, Alchemy, Knowledge (magic/mojh), or Heal DC 20: Discovered by a gifted greenbond, this elixir of legendary properties became highly sought after. The secret has spread far and wide. Its far-flung notoriety is due to a wellknown mojh akashic explorer who kept her human family name. Her stories of adventure and derring-do that cover her transformation into a mojh were spread far and wide by the Song of Heroic Deeds. This weapon is extremely beautiful, highly ornate, gilded and inlaid nearly to the point of being gaudy.
Lore: Delve Into Collective Memory, Knowledge (magic/verrik) DC 15: A powerful mind witch gives these rare gifts. The most prominent was given to a blind verrik bat totem warrior, said to challenge anyone he encountered to a duel, the loser forfeiting his weapon. It is not known if the strange totem warrior still retains this weapon.

Abilities: This weapon has 4 special abilities. It is a swift action to change which ability currently functions at the beginning of an encounter. After that it cannot be changed until the beginning of the next encounter. First Blood: +6 to initiative, Do you Yield: +2d6 non-lethal damage and all damage dealt by weapon is nonlethal, One Shot: +5 insight bonus to your first attack roll in an encounter, To the Death: +4 bonus to confirm critical hits.

faen unfettered used one to masterful effect fighting spined grapplers on the sky isles of the Floating Forest within sight of the town of Farrough. He fell to his death, taking all the remaining spined grapplers with him, his weapon lost in the deepness of the waterfall lake known as Fanormere. This weapon is overly gilded with gold and heavily inlayed with silver with the same rune on both sides. A successful Knowledge: runes check (DC 15) reveals the rune to be rite.

Pyncharsson the Axe of Anointing


As a knight armed with Pyncharsson you will see, endure, remain true, find balance, and become one with your axe. You can become a living incarnation of the virtues of the Order of the Axe. This regalia of magical augments was created as a quest for those seeking to become Knights of the Axe. It promoted the Code of the

Order, and created a near religious relic that would inspire all the Knights of the realm. LORE: (Collective Memory or Knowledge (History, Nobility and courtesy)) DC 15 this is part of regalia of the Order of the Axe. With each piece gathered, you gain more of the power and virtue that the knights symbolize. DC 20 it was created at the command of the founder of the knights in a chapterhouse that was later plundered by the Knights of the Diamond. The regalia was lost. The Knights of the Axe will pay twice its value if a piece is returned to a chapter house. DC 25 Knights of the Axe consider Pyncharsson the property of the order and will seek its return though any honorable means. They consider looting after your death in honorable combat quite acceptable. REGALIA BENEFITS You cannot combine effects on an already enchanted weapon, but when you are able to combine two of these regalia items together, a rune on the weapon glows. a faint red. When all of the regalia items are combined, there is a burst of red light. It reveals itself as Pyncharsson. 2 items: If used together on an unenhanced masterwork weapon, it gains a +1 enhancement bonus and the runic special weapon quality. 5 Pieces: if used together on an unenhanced masterwork weapon, it transforms into an intelligent artifact axe (type chosen by you) named Pyncharsson. Any weapon feats are changed to this axe type (example Weapon Focus: longsword would become Weapon Focus: battleaxe) and you gain proficiency with this axe.

Pyncharsson is a sentience that embodies a paradox, dedicated to gaining self rule for all creatures in the realm (including dracha and even sibeccai). He has an unbridled hatred and bloodlust for both giants and sibeccai. He believes in following the dictates of both order and chapterhouse, but also in you staying true to your own conscience. Int 10, Wis 19, Cha 19; Common, Telepathy, 120 darkvision and hearing. Pyncharsson can use total transfer wounds once per encounter. The DC for the peace effect is based on his +4 Charisma Modifier (unless yours is higher).

Crystal Eye of the Axe

This appears to be a crystal inside of which can be seen an eye staring out from the head of an axe.
This crystal can be attached to any weapon. Gain a +5 competence bonus to Sense Motive and Gather Information Prerequisites: Craft Constant Item, (canny effort) Cost to Create: 1,250 gp (100 xp)

This axe head is always composed of crystal-laced layered black steel with a red crystal eye. The rune for truth sits on one side of the axe head. That haft is made of crystal-laced gassar wood fluted with spiral grooves. The wood is engraved with a knight standing atop the blades of a double-bladed axe, that ends in a crystal pommel in the symbol of the Order of the Axe.

The Enduring Kiss of the Axe

This appears to be a crystal inside of which can be seen a set of lips kissing the blade of an axe.
This crystal can be attached to any weapon. The weapon gains the crystal-laced template. Once per encounter, when a charge is expended, it casts a heightened total transfer wounds spell (10 charges). Prerequisites: Craft Charged Item, (heightened total transfer wounds) Cost to Create: 5,100 gp (408 xp)

(although they can defend themselves) or do anything destructive for 3 hours. Any aggressive action against or life-threatening damage dealt to an affected creature immediately breaks the spell for all affected creatures.

This appears to be a common woodworking knife, however within its crystal handle is the image of an axes haft
If you shave but a piece of your weapons pommel or haft, the weapon suffers no damage, instead it magically transforms, You gain a +2 competence bonus (or two virtual ranks if you do not posses ranks in the skill) to all the following skills (now considered class skills): Balance, Climb, Craft (any one), Diplomacy, Knowledge (Local, Nobility and Courtesy), Jump, and Ride. Prerequisites: Craft Constant Item, (canny effort) Cost to Create: 2,840 gp (227 xp)

This appears to be a common whetstone. On one side is the rune for truth, on the other side is the image of an axe blade.
If you sharpen your weapon with both sides of the stone, it gains abilities that can affect you and creatures who share the same oath, conviction and/or belief system you do (Example: Knights of the Axe). Its augmentation can only affect one weapon at any one time. You and those who share the same oath, conviction or belief system as you gain a +2 resistance bonus to Will saves when within 30. 1/day 3d6 agitated creatures find themselves relaxed and unwilling to engage in hostile activity upon a failed will save (DC 12 + your Charisma Modifier). They must be within a 130 range and less than 30 apart. They immediately stop fighting and cannot take violent actions

This appears to be a cord of crystal laced rope. Inside the crystal the image of a human knight wielding an axe shifts back and forth.
When you tie this cord to you and your weapon and perform a ceremony of attunement (knowledge ceremonies DC 15), the weapon gains two Bane special qualities (Subject to DM adjudication; usually Sibeccai and Giant), and you gain the bonded item feat with the weapon even if you are Unbound. Prerequisites: Craft Constant Item, Bond Item (conjure energy creature) Cost to Create: 9,000 gp (720 xp) OBJECT LORESIGHT (all the regalia share the loresight information of Pyncharsson the Axe of Anointing, rather than individual loresight information) 1.
