46(b) “Delegation” refers to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Student Government

48(c) “Student Government official” refers to a member of Student Government, elected or

51B. Delegation Composition
52The Delegation shall be chaired by the Student Body President, or the
53Speaker of Congress in his or her absence, and shall be composed of:
54(a) the Student Body President, ex officio
55(b) the Speaker of Student Congress, ex officio
56(c) an existing Student Government official appointed by the Student Body President
57(d) an existing Student Government official appointed by the Speaker of Congress

59C. Alternate Delegates
60The Student Body President and the Speaker of Congress may each appoint two alternate
61delegates, who shall be existing Student Government officials.

63D. Confirmation
64The appointed delegates and alternates shall be confirmed by a simple majority of Congress. If
65Congress is unable to, neglects to confirm, or rejects the appointed delegates and alternates
66before the initial meeting of ASG’s General Assembly, the appointed delegates and alternates
67shall serve until such time as delegates and alternates are confirmed by Congress.

69E. Delegation Chair
70The Chair of the Delegation shall assign delegates to Association committees pursuant to the
71Association Statutes, and in the absence of a delegate or delegates, shall choose which alternate
72or alternates shall serve. Furthermore, the Chair shall represent Student Government on the
73Council of Student Body Presidents.

75F. Oversight and Accountability
76Congress shall have the authority, by a resolution passed by two-thirds vote, to bind the votes of
77the delegation, or to remove appointed delegates or alternates to the Association.
