Hydrocortisone 100 mg IV stat Adjunct treatment for ulcerative colitis and proctitis
Indication
Mechanism of Action
Decreases inflammation, leukocyte lysosomal membranes; response; stimulates bone marrow; and influences protein, fat and carbohydrate metabolism.

Contraindicated in patients: Hypersensitive to drugs ot its ingredients, in those with systemic fungal infections, in those receiving immunosuppressi ve doses together with live vaccines. 1.Warn patient on long therapy about cushingoid effects. 2.Teach patient and significant others signs and symptoms of early adrenal insufficiency: fatigue, muscle weakness, joint pain, fever, anorexia, nausea, shortness of breath, dizziness and fainting. 3.Warn patiend and SO about easy brusing. 4.Advise patient and So to have the patient

Contraindicated in patients: Hypersensitive to drug and in those decompensated cardiac requiring I.V. inotropic therapy. With bronchial asthma or related bronchospatic condition, second or third Av block, sick cinus syndrome, cardiogenic shock, severs brady cardia, or symptomatic hepatic impairment. Thyroid disease Younger than 18.
1.Inform patient that improvement of heart failure may occur several weeks. 2.Inform patient that may experience hypotesion when standing. 3.Advise to stand slowly.

Contraindicated in patients: Hypersensitive to drug and its component. Whose renal function depends on the rennin angiotensin aldosterone system because of risk oliguria and progressive azotemia with acute renal failure or death. Who are pregnant. Volume or salt depleted.
1.If hypotension occurs after a dose of candesartan, place patient in supine position and if needed give an I.V. infusion of normal saline solution. 2. Monitor therapeutic response and the occurrence of adverse reaction and in those with renal disease. 3.Inform patient to report reactions without delay. 4.Medication may be taken without regards to meals.

Contraindicated in patients with: Hypersensitive to any component of the formulation. Safety and efficacyof using the IV formulation to start therapy for GERD are unknown.
1.Advise patient and SO that medication may be taken without regard to meals. 2.Tell patient not to swallow tablet and not to crush crush, split, or chew. 3.Tell patient that antacids does not affect pantoprazole.

Contraindicated in patients: drug and in those with anuria, With hepatic cirrhosis and in those allergic to sulfonamides.
1. Monitor intake and output and electrolyte. 2. Watch signs of hypokalemia, such as muscle weakness and cramps. 3. Monitor glucose level. 4. Advise patient to take drug with food too prevent GI upset, and to take drug in morning to prevent nighttime urination. 5. Inform patient of possible need for potassium or magnesium supplement.
6. Instruct to stand slowly to prevent dizzinessand to limit alcohol intake and strenuous exercise in hot weather to avoid worsening dizziness upon standing quickly. 7. Advice patient to report immediately report ringin in ears, severe abdominal pain, or sore throat or fever, these symptoms may indicate furosemide toxicity. 8. Inform patient and SO to avoid direct sunlight.
