Course Catalog Description
This course is a continuation of CE 353, focusing on the design and construction of shallow and deep foundations. Additional topics will include retaining walls, sheet pile walls, and analysis of pile foundations.

An understanding of how to calculate the soil bearing capacity for several types of foundations. 3. An ability to analyze problems of both shallow and deep foundations.
