On the whole RK PURAM is surrounded by well known Rk puram sector 2 areas like sarojni nagar (residential) GREEN PARK (marketplace) Humayunpur (Mainly residential) AIIMS etc.the urban fabric is of hybrid pattern includes organic growth(mohammadpur), Hauz khas deer park heritage areas, hauz khas (Recreational, picnic spot) Ravidas camp slum deer park and other residential colonies
ANALYSIS
The plan of each block in Ridgewood estate is such that it surrounds the common space ,each block follows the same hierarchy .
Block surrounds the common space, thus makes it private only for the users of the same block also ,the large green space ,which is the intermediate space between two block open spaces is missing ,thus makes the public interaction very low
Block A
block have their own green spaces, but the site lacks in a big common green space, also open space feels disconnection from each other.
Vivekananda marg It is one of the busiest street on neighborhood scale. one can see a variety of activities here. Also it is well known because of the market happens every Friday, at Friday evening the whole walkway is filled with stalls supplying every kind of goods.

BLOCK COMMON SPACE Each block get the common interaction space in form of sunken courtyard, which is fairly of sufficient size for the interaction within block people There is a disconnection between common space (of block) and open space (of site ) also the transition is not smooth from one space to another, as a result the interaction between blocks get disconnect

OVERALL PERCEPTION OF THE SPACE On the whole, the area looks very planned ,but when you move to the inner side of the areas, it seems that the area lost the sense of planning, on reality large area of the neighborhood(mohammadpur and nearby) seems very crowded. Building seems to have been decayed due to lack of maintenance.
