Islam: the future for British Children?

On 6th June 2009, a successful Islamic Roadshow took place in the heart of
Birmingham's city centre; various leaflets were distributed by sincere Muslims,
pertaining to the Oneness of Almighty God as well as the splendour of Islamic Law i.e.
Shari'ah; thought provoking discussions also took place with various members of the
community who were attracted by the unique call of the Roadshow, and how it could
solve many of the ills currently plaguing the British society including prostitution,
abortion, drug abuse and general gang violence.

Most notably, an 11 year old boy, named Sean, affirmed his allegiance to the pure
message of Islam by proclaiming the Islamic testimony of faith i.e. that there is none
truly worthy of worship except Allah and Muhammad (saw) is His Last and Final
Messenger.

Unfortunately, as is typical of the Western media, who deliberately twist factual events in
favour of provocative sound bites it has come to our attention that much uproar has been
caused in Britain as a result of this young boy's allegiance to al-Islam.

It is recorded in Sahih Bukhari that the Final Messenger Muhammad (saw) said, "No
child is born except on the natural disposition (Islam) and then his parents make him
Jewish, Christian or Magian..."

Verily, the simple and pure message of al-Islam is something which every person is born
on and hence it should come as no surprise that Islam is the fastest growing belief on
earth; Islam requests all mankind to fully submit their lives to the command of Almighty
God alone, by following the example of the Final Messenger Muhammad (saw).

Furthermore, it is well documented in the annals of Islamic history, that one of the close
companions of the Messenger Muhammad (saw), Ali (ra), famously embraced Islam at
the age of 10 at the behest of his tribe and familial ties; moreover it is the firm belief of
every Muslim (as opposed to espousers of the concept of ‘original sin'), that every child
is destined for paradise as there is no accountability for children prior to maturity, and
consequently it is very natural for the youth of any society to renew this innate Islamic
disposition that they were ultimately born with - just like 11-year old Sean.

Undoubtedly, the recent rants of the British media have truly exposed the British
government's crusade against Islam and the Muslims, who ironically see no problem with
non-Christian children in infant and primary educational institutions being encouraged to
sing Christian hymns, celebrate Christmas or partake in Easter festivities however, on the
other hand, have a severe aversion to any child affiliating themselves to the Oneness of
Almighty God as stipulated in Islam.

Inshaa'allah (God Willing), as followers of Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama'ah we hope to

continue these Islamic Roadshow's up and down the United Kingdom and provide the
British society with a real divine alternative to the corruption of manmade law, and offer
a unique glimpse into what life under the Shari'ah would really be like.
