FragFX Version 2 Firmware Upgrade BETA for Windows XP

The FragFX v2 firmware upgrade software is designed for a Windows XP Personal

Computer (PC). This software will not run directly on the Sony Playstation 3.

The FragFX v2 is a USB device that can be plugged into a computer system. Our
FragFX v2 firmware software is designed to update via a PC to compensate for tweaks,
and upgrades that have been suggested to us from the FragFX gamers.

Step 1
Download (save) ‘FragFX V2 Firmware upgrade’ to your Desktop, or somewhere that is
easily accessible. Create a New Folder, unzip & extract contents into your New Folder.

Step 2
Now you can install the FragFX V2 Firmware upgrade 2009_03_10.exe. Double click on
it & follow the instructions. The Installation Wizard will guide you through the process.
After you have clicked ‘Finish’ the installer will have installed a desktop shortcut to run
the upgrade - FragFX V2 Firmware upgrade. DO NOT run this upgrade yet.

In case you had a prior version FragFX installed, go to Step 3, otherwise you may go
directly to Step 4

Step 3
Open your Device Manager (Control Panel – System – Hardware – Device Manager).
Now plug in your FragFX v2.
If you have never had a FragFX plugged into this PC, your FragFX v2 should be
recognized
as….
HID – compliant game controller & USB Human Interface Device in the category Human
Interface Devices.

If your FragFX v2 is identified as anything else, you have probably had a previous
FragFX version plugged into this PC. Simply right click on the entry & select Uninstall.

Once your FragFX v2 is identified as in the above graphic, you can now run the upgrade.

Step 4
Double click the upgrade icon (desktop-shortcut) you will see…..

When you click NEXT you will see…..

Click NEXT.
The red progress bar may fill approximately 10%-15% & pause & ultimately fail
unsuccessfully. In such case, it will initiate the Found New Hardware Wizard.

Select - No, not at this time…..Install from a list or specific location……Don’t search, I
will choose the driver to install. You should then see

Choose (highlight) PS3 ISP Update & select NEXT. Next you will see the Hardware
Installer telling you that PS3 ISP Update has not passed Windows Logo Testing.
Select Continue Anyway. This should complete the Found New Hardware Wizard.
(Now in your Device Manager the FragFX v2 should be identified as PS3 ISP Update,
under the category Universal Serial Bus Controllers.)

Press EXIT to exit the FragFX V2 Firmware Upgrade Program

Step 5
Unplug your FragFX v2 (wait until Device Manager refreshes - the PS3 ISP Update entry
will disappear).
Now re-plug your FragFX v2 into the same USB slot (& it will again be recognized in the
Device Manager)

Step 6
Run FragFX V2 Firmware Upgrade Program by Double click on the Desktop Icon
(FragFX V2 Firmware upgrade) to run the upgrade. This should give you a Successful
Firmware Upgrade.
