PREFACE
This book reflects the growth of teaching profession, which demands more from teachers these days to keep up with various job loads. The tasks of educators has evolved to be more challenging as they need to keep up with varying activities while juggling to provide the best in their teaching and learning processes. With that note, carrying out survey is useful to understand situation and improve practices especially in the educational setting. However, conducting survey in the traditional ways can be both tiring and devastating. Hence, it is only prudent if teachers are apt in knowledge and skills to manipulate technology to ease their job. This book is specifically written with that tasks in mind, ultimately aimed to provide teachers and educators alike with available online resources to support their needs. The idea came with the need to choose an online survey tool and I realised that making a choice from the numerous options can be rather complicated. Hence, I compiled this book which encompasses the online survey tools available to date. It resulted in 15 chapters, reckoned as useful for beginners. Each chapter contained fundamental information about each online survey providers made up of five parts, starting with a brief description of the specific site. To direct readers to the site, a hyperlinked address follows after the description which can be easily spotted with the icon . In the third part, I listed the benefits of using the specific online survey tool to elicit generic ideas on how readers can advantage from the tool. If the tool was found to be appealing and suitable, the reader can then follow the step-bystep manual to navigate themselves at its respective site. The guide is enriched with helpful screenshots of the sites so that users can make the most out of the online resources. The guide can be seen as a simpler version of the tutorials commonly available on the internet, heavily focuses on the features for educational purposes. Lastly, references which are included at the end of every chapter are prepared for readers who are intrigued to further reading about the site. I certainly hope that this book will complement the currently available resources in bridging research and practice. My goal is that the ideas in this book will support the probe of generic perceptions through online surveys while refining educational practices as a whole. Johan Eddy Luaran

All types of users, from first-time researchers, college students to large companies, have been known to utilize the program (Survey Monkey, 2013). Its success can be credited to the free account option and its user-friendly interface. However, account members need to upgrade to any of three pro account types which are the Select, Gold or Platinum accounts. Each of these pro accounts offers more detailed services respectively. What is Kwik Surveys?
Kwik Surveys is a fairly young site and has been around for five years. It claimed to have hosted surveys for large companies such as Pepsi, Tata and Disney (Webwarehub, 2012). This site boasts of its free and unlimited service but users can upgrade to paid Premium account. The benefits of the Premium account are centered on better customer service and control over the advertisement placements. At the same time, the analysis of the results for the survey is basic and does not improve with the premium account.

Survs
What is Survs?
Survs is another survey site with four plans and pricing types; Free, Basic, Pro and Premium. All include helpful features like templates and unlimited survey options. On the other hand, this site is not generous with the number of questions which a free user can include in their survey; a survey can only consist of five questions. For a standard research paper this is not very practical. Therefore, for users who are interested to join this site it is more advisable to go for one of the paid plans of either the Basic, Pro, or Premium plan if they have more than five questions for one survey. The paid plans have features such as SPSS integration, priority customer service and the export analysis function.

Question Pro
What is Question Pro?
Question Pro is an ambitious online survey site which includes the Team Edition plan. This edition caters specially to teams of more than five people. Therefore, researchers who come together as a team can reap the benefits of the multi-user access and prioritized customer service. The site have other plans which are the Free, Professional, and Corporate plans. The SPSS integration begins with the Corporate plan. However, this site has some technical hitches and received bad reviews for its customers service (SiteJabber, 2013). The interface of this site is not as user-friendly or sleekly designed as many other sites catering to online surveys. In other words, this site is not an ideal site for individual beginner researchers but could be a useful site for information gathering for small business corporations (McCue, 2012).
Once a survey is published, users are able to share it using a variety of methods including using a web link, emailing to respondents and sharing through social media accounts. 6. Ready-made templates available A collection of pre-designed survey templates are available even for free account users.

Survey Planet
What is Survey Planet?
SurveyPlanet claims that it wants to be the only online survey site ever needed by its users and this goal is not at all far-fetched. This site has a beautifully designed user-friendly interface which helps the users interact with the tools provided. The service plans provided are generous. The free plan includes unlimited surveys, survey responses and templates and easy sharing options through social media. Premium paid plan includes custom theming, CSV exporting, and unlimited survey storage and the price is reasonable. This is a definite userschoice and would be especially useful for first time researchers or students who are looking for a sleek new application.
