Our Cornish Residential centre is based on the Tremough campus, a campus shared between the University College Falmouth and the University of Exeter. The campus is set in 75 acres of beautiful, well maintained grounds with attractive buildings and accommodation, with everything within easy reach. The accommodation, classrooms and canteen are close together and the whole campus is only 15 minutes walk from the town of Penryn, making getting around easy and stress-free. Penryn is one of Cornwalls most ancient towns, with a wealth of history stretching back to the Middle Ages. Described locally as the sleeping beauty of West Cornwall, Penryn has recently been the focus of a regeneration funding project, resulting in the renovation of many historic Tudor and Georgian buildings. Together with the advent of the Tremough Campus (a short walk from the town centre), this has turned Penryn into a burgeoning and prosperous small town with a wonderful 18th century town atmosphere and a plethora of small independent shops and cafes.

Location Pointer As Tremough is a Cornish campus, the programme focuses on Cornwalls culture and heritage, with excursions to the beautiful countryside surrounding Penryn. As Tremough campus is also a centre for art and creative media studies, our programme also includes art and drama options, as well as zumba, keep fit and sports sessions on campus.

Sample Programme As this centre is based in SW Cornwall in the town of Penryn, only 2 miles from the beach, there is a great mixture of beach and cultural activities on offer. Students will have activities every afternoon and some examples of these activities are: Walking tours of Penryn , trips to the beach and to local tourist attractions such as the Lizard, St Michaels Mount, Poldark Mine, Pendennis Castle plus one afternoon a week of different sports and workshops such as football, basketball, zumba, cycling, dance, art, drumming and yoga workshops. Every weekend there is a full day trip to a variety of interesting places for example: Newquay,, the Eden Project, Looe and Polperro and St Ives. We also make sure that there is at least one activity every evening for example: Discos, Karaoke, English debates, Fashion shows, Movies and Popcorn, Quiz, Scavenger Hunts etc.. Additional and optional activities are also available on request.
