REQUIREMENTS FOR THE FORMATION OF

A PICE STUDENT CHAPTER
REMARKS

1. School Chapter By-Laws which should

not be in conflict with the PICE By-Laws as
reviewed/ endorsed by the Mother
Chapter.

2. Name of Mother Chapter carried with

the name of chapter.

3. Petition of at least seven (7)

upperclassmen.
(Students enrolled not lower than third
year) using form SC 01.

4. Approval by the Head or Dean of the

Civil Engineering Department or Head of
the Institution.

5. PICE Regular Member (in good standing

of the Mother Chapter) serving in the
engineering faculty, willing to serve as
adviser.

6. Recommendation of the Mother Chapter

Board of Directors.

7. Remittance of share of membership

dues using the prescribed Form SC 03 with
the respective Membership Data (Form SC
02).

GUIDELINES FOR THE FORMATION OF A STUDENT CHAPTER

1. Secure membership application and petition forms from the National Administrative Office.
2. Accomplish the following documents and send back to the National Administrative Office:
a. The school chapter must submit written request or petition of at least seven (7) upper classmen
enrolled in the School/Institution not lower than third year to the Mother Chapter who in turn
will submit/endorse same to the National Board of Directors, indicating the name of the Chapter
desired (Always carry the name of your Mother Chapter.)

PICE-Mother Chapter + School Chapter

PICE Lungsod ng Maynila Chapter, Mapua Institute of Technology Student Chapter

b. Letter of approval of the petition paper to organize a student chapter by the Head of Civil
Engineering Department of the School/institution or the Dean of the College of Engineering, or
Head of the Institution.
c. Letter from a PICE active regular member of the Chapter, Fellow or Life Member of
the Institute who is serving in the School/Institution as a member of the engineering faculty
and is willing to serve as the School Chapter Adviser.
d. Letter of recommendation/endorsement from Mother Chapter Board of Directors.
e. School Chapter BY-LAWS which are in conformity with By-Laws of the Institute and with the ByLaws of the Mother Chapter.
f.

Application forms, together with the Membership and Annual dues respectively to be paid by
newly admitted member. Charter fee in the amount of 100.00 should be paid by the school
chapter before the Charter is issued. (see table below for division of shares)

Note: Annual dues shall be paid starting on the first day of January of each year, but not later

than the first day of October otherwise the student members shall be considered in arrears
and shall temporarily lose his membership privileges.
IMPORTANT: Before the end of November each Student Chapter shall submit an annual report to
the National Administrative Office, through its Mother Chapter indicating the number of its members
(active and inactive), names of officers and directors, list of reclassified members activities and
meetings held during the year.
