El software contiene tres ventanas principales: 1. La Ventana de Comando o de Bsqueda. Es donde se introducen palabras o frases para hacer una bsqueda. Hay una variedad de opciones: por ejemplo, si quieres buscar donde la Biblia nos dice: No tema, se puede ingresar "no o ni", "temor o temer". Adicionalmente hay otra bsqueda grfica para investigaciones complejas. La lnea de comando ofrece botones de insercin para las diferentes opciones. Los resultados de la bsqueda se ven atrs de la lnea. 2. La Ventana de Resultados. Esta rea muestra el texto de la Biblia en sus diferentes versiones o en una sola versin. Es decir, se puede mostrar Reina Valera, La Biblia de las Amricas y la NVI juntas con el griego y hebreo original. 3. La Ventana de Anlisis. Esta es la ventana con toda la informacin sobre las palabras en el texto que se encuentra en los lexicones, diccionarios, gramticas y los dems libros como la crtica textual y los Padres de la Iglesia. Tambin se ven las referencias cruzadas, estadsticas y tablas de las frecuencias de palabras. Adems en esta ventana est ubicado un editor de textos, y la facilidad de pegar notas de texto. La ventana de Anlisis lleva 13 etiquetas, por eso es posible dividirla en dos ventanas y ajustar las posiciones de las etiquetas entre ellas. El panel de editor de textos es desplegable, lo cual es muy til, cuando deseas escribir apuntas durante el uso del programa. La interfaz es intuitiva con el orden de ventanas y simple de utilizar con sus iconos. Las ventanas emergentes muestran informacin sobre palabras en el texto. Por ejemplo se ve rpidamente la traduccin de hebreo o griego, con los datos sintcticos y gramaticales. Tambin referencias a versculos bblicos en los diccionarios. Para el mundo acadmico, BibleWorks ofrece el formato correcto para citar el programa en una bibliografa.

Las debilidades del programa son: Ingls. La interfaz est en ingls y tambin en este idioma estn los mapas, gramticas, lexicones; Josefo, Filn y Padres de la Iglesia, estn en ingls. Solamente las Biblias estn en espaol. La pgina Web de BibleWorks proporciona un foro en espaol. Idiosincrtico. Todava hay aspectos idiosincrsicos en el programa. A veces es difcil utilizar BibleWorks por la tendencia de ocultar informacin. Por ejemplo, los recursos sobre textos bblicos

paralelos como citas del Antiguo Testamento en el Nuevo Testamento estn guardados en archivos con nombres abreviados como, "mnt", "ot2" y "notot".

Quien es el tipo de persona que utilizara BibleWorks?

Los usuarios principales del programa son: Predicadores: BibleWorks mejor la rapidez de entender las palabras del texto bblico o buscar frases particulares. Aunque el predicador no haya tenido el privilegio de tener estudios en los idiomas originales de la Biblia, puede apreciar su significado con la informacin que el programa pone a su disposicin.

Estudiantes: Para los que estudian griego y hebreo hay tarjetas didcticas y tablas de paradigmas, y tambin las gramticas. Para la preparacin de ensayos y disertaciones es posible construir bsquedas complejas del texto bblico. Mapas de diagramas de oraciones son producidos y tambin informacin estadstica sobre palabras y frases en sus idiomas originales o en espaol.

Profesores: La pgina Web de BibleWorks ofrece una serie de 43 videos en ingls con el ttulo, "Recursos para el aula". Estos contienen ideas para que los profesores puedan aplicar BibleWorks en beneficio de sus alumnos. Por ejemplo, comparar el vocabulario en los sinpticos, producir ejercicios en traduccin y destacar textos.
