Elements Of Print
Concept
My concept is to create a print info pack specific to paper. It will be broken down into separate categories based on the different stages of design for print; Paper, Colour, Production, Process and Finish. Each one of the categories will be created into a publication that will be distributed on a fortnightly basis, meaning each individual book must work on its own. The aim is to collect all the publicaations in the series and bind them using a two prong system. The series is called elements of print which relates to each category being an element of different mass, all these elements then come together to form a compound which is print. All elements are different sizes therefore each category will be a different format to the one before or after it.

Colour/Image
The entire info pack will be printed in a single colour to save on cost. Idealy it would be printed using risograph but it isnt cost effective in these circumstances. Images will be monotone in the same colour as the body copy.

Stock
Stock is a key factor in this publication because its focused on print for paper. Front and back will be a heavy coloured stock, whereas inside will be an off white 80gsm to make the pack cost effective.

Packaging
Packaging has been a serious consideration but because the publication is sold fortnightly in stores its better to show of the front cover as opposed to creat 5 different types of packaging.

Binding
I will use two different binding techniques; every publication will be bound with an elastic band + paperclip to allow them to easily unbind and bind the collection together using a 2 prong system.
