Statement of the Problem This study attempts to determine the effectiveness of ashitaba plant on regulating blood sugar levels

as tested in white albino mice to be able to disseminate information to the public which is based on fact and scientific evidence. Specifically, this study seeks to answer the following questions: 1. What is the component of ashitaba plant (angelica keiske)? 2. What are the benefits and uses of ashitaba plant (angelica keiske)? 3. What is the blood sugar level of the animals in Group 1 (Normal) before and after feeding them with a normal diet? 4. What is the blood sugar level of the animals in Group 2 (Control) before and after feeding them with a high fructose diet? 5. What is the blood sugar level of the animals in Group 3 (Experimental) before and after feeding them with high fructose diet and Angelica Keiskei extract? 6. Is there a significant difference among the blood sugar level of Group 1 (Normal), Group 2 (Control), and Group 3 (Experimental) of mice before and after trial I (after 1 week) trial II (after 2 weeks) and trial III of administration of Ashitaba Plant in Group 3 (Experimental) mice? 7. Is there a significant difference on the blood sugar level of the mice before and after the administration of Ashitaba Plant (Angelica Keiskei) in Group 3 mice?

Hypothesis To provide direction, the following hypotheses will be tested: 1. There is no significant difference among the blood sugar level of Group 1 (Normal), Group 2 (Control), and Group 3 (Experimental) of mice before and after trial I (after 1 week) trial II (after 2 weeks) and trial III of administration of Ashitaba Plant in Group 3 (Experimental) mice? 2. There is no significant difference on the blood sugar level of the mice before and after the administration of Ashitaba Plant (Angelica Keiskei) in Group 3 mice?
