Primary responsibilities: Managing the Quality Control aspects of 498 million dollar; 9 building, 1.6 million-SF of space Army Command Center. As the Alternate QC Manger, I had the same roles and responsibility as the Quality Control Manager to implement the Quality Control Design/Build plan as regulated through the US Army Corp of Engineers requirements. Orchestrated the 3-phase quality control mission with the Joint Venture team and all the subcontractors. I was involved in the writing of the Quality Control Plan with daily procedures such as but limited to; daily construction activity reporting, check list for workmanship, design, specification/code requirements and all testing requirements written for each definable feature of work. Reviewed Submittals, RFIs, recorded all daily activities through Quality Control daily reporting and monthly pay application, processing of all required paper work into the USACE RMS/QCS system. Maintained all records for the Quality Control aspects of the project including, testing, certifications, on/off site inspections and daily activity records. I also held monthly as built review meetings, weekly QC/QA meetings to review non conforming workmanship and getting the corrective measures in place to prevent any failures in the construction, schedule and design requirements. I also was a part of the punch-out and close out process of the project, which required use of the vela system to maintain the punch list for each subcontractor and recorded all work, which needed corrected or finished to satisfy the designer, client and user of the facility. I also completed all submittal resubmissions to close out the final requirements of the project including final payment. 2007- 2008 Area Superintendent/Quality Control Manager, Gaylord National Harbor Hotel and Entertainment Complex, National Harbor, MD Primary responsibilities: Supervised multiple subcontractors in the construction of a 600 million +, 1,503 hotel rooms, over 400,000-SF of convention and meeting space and parking for 2,600 cars over a 42-acre site located on the Potomac River just outside of the Washington, DC. A 65,000-SF glass atrium was constructed as the signature style of the Gaylords Hotel Corporation brand. Duties included the supervision of all construction elements of the hotel suites. Over 150 suites were built ranging from the designs of a 3 room, 4 room, specialty signature suites and Presidential suites. I coordinated the daily construction activities, monitored Quality Control of the project, and worked with the Architects to achieve the customers expectations for each unique suite design. 2004- 2007 Parsons Transportation Group Assistant Resident Engineer, Office Engineer and Quality Assurance Representative Primary responsibilities: Supervising the Quality Control of the prime contractor on the 148 million dollar Southwest Terminal Expansion project at BWI Airport. Duties include the supervision and inspection of underground utilities. The placement and testing of sub grade, concrete placement and asphalt surrounding the half a million square foot project. Inspection and supervision of various architectural finishes throughout the exterior and interior of the building. As an Assistant Resident Engineer / Office Engineer, I was responsible for all of the coordination for the Maryland Aviation Division Construction Projects, from the pre-construction activities to the notice to proceed to the completion of the project. Terminal Curbside Expansion Project: I was responsible for the force account and change order negotiations. Over 1,300 change orders were processed on this 180 million dollar project. I reviewed the change order work, received estimates and negotiated pricing to keep the project on time and in the allotted budget. MAC Building Expansion: A 5 million dollar project was given to me to orchestrate the close out process, which included punch list, commissioning and negotiating over 50 change orders, which were resolved to the satisfaction of the General Contractor and client. I have a professional working relationship with many contractors and sub contractors such as Horton Mechanical, Enterprise Electric, Green Contracting, David Allen Company and T. A. Gorman Inc. to name a few. Throughout my employment, I was given the responsibility to project managing several new projects and jobs already in progress. My responsibilities included review of all submittal documentation, scheduling, pay requisitions, change orders, RFIs, progress meetings, commissioning, punch lists, close outs, but not limited to orchestrating a quality construction project with the instrumental daily activities and operations at the BWI Airport. 2000-2004 L.B. &B Associates Inc. Quality Assurance Coordinator, Goddard Space Flight Center Primary responsibility: Supported all construction management from the design phase through the construction phase and project acceptance of major utility upgrades, new building and office renovations, structural rehabilitation projects, and handicapped accessibility compliance projects. Senior Inspector, Capital Projects, Howard County Primary responsibility: Construction coordination, blueprint review, cost analysis, change order specialist and negotiator. Daily recording of activities, testing and reporting reliable data to the Engineering Directors of the project.
