Broadcast live on ITV4 during the Sunday race day, The Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup is a single-class race series which features both the Ginetta G50 & G55 GT4 sports cars; running in support of the British Touring Car Championship. Having renewed their contract with organising body TOCA, Ginetta will remain a permanent fixture on the BTCC support package until at least 2016. This coincides with the decision to introduce the G50 GT4 car to replace the old G50 Cup cars, which will race alongside the current G55 Cup car, which is also to be homologated as the 2014 GT4 spec car. The 2014 Ginetta G55 GT4 car will use the inhouse Ginetta developed 3.7 Ford V6 engine, producing 355bhp. The drivetrain starts with the Hewland six-speed sequential gearbox with new for 2014 Ginetta factory-developed pneumatic paddle-shift system.

With over 150 Ginetta G50s in circulation across the globe - many of which are homologated GT4 cars in addition to a number of G55 Cup cars, the move will enable more Ginetta owners to compete in the single-make championships. This commitment is further backed by global tyre manufacturer Michelin continuing its title sponsorship of the Ginetta GT Supercup as well as the series remaining as a BRDC qualifying championship, with a number of drivers having already been invited to join this prestigious club. Ensuring friends, family and sponsors can share drivers on-track experience, Ginetta provide every driver with 12 TOCA season passes, as well as complementary race day hospitality. Drivers also receive a Ginetta-branded race suit, as well as the opportunity to invite guests to Ginettas head office for a tour of the facility.

// Ginetta Racing Drivers Club

For 2014, Ginetta launched the Ginetta Racing Drivers Club; an all-inclusive package designed to provide drivers who have limited track experience, with everything they need to begin competing in motor racing from their own road legal Ginetta G40R, to tuition and their National B Racing licence. Created exclusively for newcomers to the sport, the Ginetta Racing Drivers Club (GRDC) is aimed at drivers with a desire to learn their race craft behind the wheel of a truly British sports car, offering step-by-step support as they move from the UK roads to some of the finest GT circuits in the country. Committed to providing great value motor racing, members are entitled to a complete ARDS racing licence package, two track days with one-on-one tuition and the delivery of a brand new, fully-road registered Ginetta G40 Club Car with 12 months road tax.

Membership is also fully inclusive of entry into four race weekends in support of the British GT at some of the most prestigious circuits on the calendar. At such events drivers will be entered into official Friday test sessions, one qualifying session and two sprint races. Not only that, but to ensure fair competition and maintain their reputation as a truly beginners club, professional teams will not be permitted in the GRDC paddock and spare parts and technical support will be made available by Ginetta as part of the package. Ginetta Racing Drivers Club members will be invited to join Ginetta Chairman and racing driver Lawrence Tomlinson at a number of social events throughout the year, including golf days and an annual trip to the Le Mans 24 Hour to commemorate Tomlinsons 2006 victory with the backdrop of a traditional French chateau.

I always fancied going racing, but never found an easy and non-time-consuming way into the sport. When I saw the Ginetta Racing Drivers Club offer it was obvious this was the route many businessmen like myself have been waiting for. Not only will Ginetta do all the hard work for me as well as provide a great race series which doesnt overrun the diary, but at the end of it all, I have my own Ginetta G40, suitable for the racetrack and the road.

designed to educate teenagers on career opportunities within motorsport. Developing imaginations and inspiring the future generations through a motorsport writing competition, representatives from both Ginetta & Michelin visit schools local to each TOCA weekend, before a writing competition results in one pupil being invited to attend and write a race report on a Ginetta Junior Championship round.

Ginettas prominence within the motorsport scene offers an exciting, value-for-money opportunity for sponsors looking to expand their brand awareness on a national level, through extended television coverage, coupled with print and online exposure. With eight square metres of advertising space available on a G55 or G50 and a further seven square metres on the G40, there are a plethora of opportunities for both consumer and business-to-business brands to expand their market presence. Drivers often display sponsor logos on their race overalls, beside their name on ITV4 and in all press releases and race day programmes. Ginetta have extensive links with leading global tyre manufacturer Michelin, who extended their title sponsorship of the Ginetta GT Supercup for a further two years, taking the partnership forward into 2015. The relationship with Michelin will continue to grow in 2014, as they remain the sole tyre supplier to all Ginetta s singlemake championships and further build upon their newly launched Michelin & Ginetta Junior Academy Of Media; a comprehensive education programme within the UK

Ginetta offer a fantastic promotional opportunity for new and existing brands to establish further market awareness within the UK, and electronic cigarette company SKYCIG opted to back 2013 Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup Champion Tom Ingram in 2012 following a visit to the Ginetta operation at Thruxton circuit in the early part of the season. Realising the value of being a part of the TOCA package, SKYCIG then went on to purchase a G40R and run a season-long competition to give the car away at the annual Ginetta Awards Dinner.

Ginettas support for up and coming talent, television exposure through the BTCC and exhilarating racing were just a few of the reasons we invested in Tom Ingrams championship challenge. It has been a real honour to sponsor Tom and watch him speed through win after win! We are proud to be involved with Ginetta, both in supplying tyres for their road cars and as tyre partner in their race series. The racing is particularly exciting, with the GT Supercup and GT5 championships making very interesting viewing throughout 2013, and the excellent Ginetta Junior Championship offering a host of opportunities and scholarships to the next generation of race drivers. Total performance, including handling and safety is a key attribute of Michelin tyres and they particularly suit the sporty characteristics of Ginettas cars. As a result we are very pleased to have been selected as their exclusive tyre partner.

// Hospitality

The backdrop of one of the UKs premier race series offers the perfect platform for drivers, teams, sponsors and businesses to entertain guests looking for an exciting day out. Ginettas hospitality suite offers the perfect environment for guests to relax and - on occasion, keep out of the British weather - for the duration of the weekend, where comfortable seating and a selection of hot and cold drinks are always available. As the hub of the championship management team as well as the spare parts store, this area creates a one stop centre for everything championship-related, with television coverage streamed of all live races. This makes for a great spot to socialise, network, keep abreast of the latest action or discuss team strategy, all whilst never missing a moment of the on-track thrills. Each team and guest of Ginetta receive passes for the weekend, entitling them access to the hospitality suite at any time, with a buffet style lunch served on race day, offering a choice of hot main dishes and sides as well as a selection of hot and cold drinks. Additional guest or hospitality passes are available on pre bookable request. Set out in a variety of areas from formal seating to informal lounge area, Ginetta promise to do everything possible to ensure guests enjoy motorsport just as much as we do.

Any motor race can entertain to some degree but when youve got exceptional driver talent coupled with superb British sports cars it moves the whole experience to another level. From a journalists point of view, as well as great racing, theres an ongoing narrative as drivers move through the different formulae within the Ginetta family. That story will continue 2014 and Im looking forward to it already.

Theres proof beyond doubt of being part of Ginettas family, with their philosophy and staircase of talent. The proof is Tom Ingram. He learnt his craft and became a champion in Juniors, when most teenagers are still learning how to be moody. He won the G50 title the following year and developed his craft, and further honed it in 2013 with the G55 title. The attention this impressive journey has received has led to being part of the prestigious KX Akademy which brings with it the considerable nurturing skills of Jason Plato. All of this as part of the Ginetta family - and what a beautifully functional family it has proven to be.

At the heart of each Ginetta championship is the philosophy of supporting drivers as they ascend the motorsport ladder. The Ginetta Junior Scholarship is designed to assist youngsters in making the transition into sports car racing with a fully-funded season in the Ginetta Junior Championship on offer for the winner. Launched in 2009, the scholarship is awarded to one driver who shines in the eyes of Ginetta. Not only by offering the overall racing package of speed, an ability to learn, professionalism, fitness and team work, but also as a marketable individual who will run well in our sponsorship-backed G40.
