World 1-1 Super Bell Hill

This page contains the Green Star locations, Secrets and Stamp Location for Super Mario 3D World's World 1-1 Super Bell Hill.

Green Star 1 Location

In a clear tube after the second Bell block. Climb on top of the tube to get it or hold UP while in the tube.

Green Star 2 Location

In the second large area, with the halfway flag, use the Cat Suit to catch the sparkling rabbit. The rabbit will give up the Green Star.

Stamp Location
In the second large area, with the halfway flag, look for a green pipe leading to the room with this stamp. Don't destroy the green pipe with the Mega Mushroom located high above it!

Green Star 3 Location

Use the Cat Suit to climb the large cliff near the midway point flag. Chase down the giant rabbit here and it will unleash a Mega Mushroom. Grab this and run all the way to the right, over the bridge with all the blocks. At the far end of the bridge are silver blocks only Giant Mario can break. Break them and you'll fall to a secret area below with the Green Star.

World 1-1 Super Bell Hill

Green Star 1 Location

In a clear tube after the second Bell block. Climb on top of the tube to get it or hold UP while in the tube.

Green Star 2 Location

In the second large area, with the halfway flag, use the Cat Suit to catch the sparkling rabbit. The rabbit will give up the Green Star.

Stamp Location

Green Star 3 Location

Use the Cat Suit to climb the large cliff near the midway point flag. Chase down the giant rabbit here and it will unleash a Mega Mushroom. Grab this and run all the way to the right, over the bridge with all the blocks. At the far end of the bridge are silver blocks only Giant Mario can break. Break them and you'll fall to a secret area below with the Green Star.

World 1-2 Koopa Troopa Cave

This page contains the Green Star locations, Secrets and Stamp Location for Super Mario 3D World's World 1-2 Koopa Troopa Cave.

Green Star 1 Location

On the cloud platforms near the halfway point.

Green Star 2 Location

A purple block after the halfway point flag leads to a room with two Koopas. Kill the Koopas to reveal the Green Star.

Stamp Location
After you blast through the long clear pipe, jump on the ? blocks to discover invisible blocks above them you can hit. Use these to climb to a clear pipe leading into the rear wall. This pipe leads to stacks of coins and a Stamp.

Green Star 3 Location

The final Green Star is in a stack of Goombas near the exit pipe. Use a Koopa shell to eliminate the Goombas.

Secret: Infinite 1-Ups

You can get three crowns-worth of lives, or 1,110 lives, in World 1-2. You can do this by passing the first Koopa and making your way to the area with a second Koopa and a Goomba on a slightly raised platform. Kill the Goomba, then jump on the green Koopa and steal its shell. Hop up onto the platform with the Goomba and face the rear wall while standing in front of the three brick blocks (press the Dpad UP to aim directly at the wall). Throw the Koopa and then immediately jump. Don't press anything else and you will bounce off the Koopa shell and never touch the ground while it bounces infinitely off the rear wall. This will result in infinite 1-Ups so long as you don't move!

You'll need to return to the level twice to fill up your lives to 1,110 because the time will run out once you hit 600 or so on your first go.

Secret: Secret Exit and Warp to World 2

The Cat Suit is required for this cheat, so pick one up in World 1-1 Super Bell Hill and hold it in your inventory or wear it through the level. Near the end of the underground portion of the level is a pipe

that splits into two paths, one with a loop with coins in it. On the far side are three long ? blocks that are invisible against the rear wall. Use these to reach the upper path with a lone Koopa patrolling it. Above this Koopa is a hard-to-spot gap in the ceiling. Run up the rear wall to find a red warp pipe. This will warp you to World 2!

Secret: Gold Warp Pipe =

Use the cloud platforms to get to an upper area above the level. Follow it all the way to the right to find a gold warp pipe.

World 1-A Chargin Chuck Blockade

Defeat the Chargin Chucks for a Green Star.

World 1-3 Mount Beanpole

This page contains the Green Star locations, Secrets and Stamp Location for Super Mario 3D World's World 1-3 Mount Beanpole.

Green Star 1 Location

Climb the left beanpole at the start of the level to find this Green Star.

Green Star 2 Location

Enter the green warp pipe on the left that a POW block reveals as you climb the mountain. Inside is a Green Star, but you must collect all the Blue Coins in the room within the time limit to get the Star. To do so, you'll either need a Cat Suit to get the final coin (run up the wall) or you'll need to Spin Jump to it -- Spin the Analog Stick/D-Pad 360 degrees and hit jump to jump a bit higher.

Stamp Location
To get this Stamp you'll need to Wall Jump up to it or fall onto it -- it's in the middle of the level, you can't miss it.

Green Star 3 Location

The final Green Star is high above the level. Use the Cat Suit to climb the stone tower on the left above the final bridge to reach a Cloud Pipe. Grab a Starman here and run to the right, jumping gaps and mowing down Piranha Plants. The Green Star is at the very end of the line. You can jump off the edge to return to the level below.

World 1-4 Plessie's Plunging Falls

This page contains the Green Star locations, Secrets and Stamp Location for Super Mario 3D World's World 1-4 Plessie's Plunging Falls.

Green Star 1 Location

Hit JUMP as you go off first ramp to get this Green Star.

Green Star 2 Location

You can enter a waterfall on the left side of the river to find a secret passage to this Green Star.

Stamp Location
Instead of entering the secret waterfall passage, carefully navigate the river curves and you can grab this stamp.

Green Star 3 Location

Hit JUMP on the final ramp to blast over to the final Green Star and you can fall right through it.

World 1-5 Switch Scramble Circus

This page contains the Green Star locations, Secrets and Stamp Location for Super Mario 3D World's World 1-5 Switch Scramble Circus.

Green Star 1 Location

Above the first orange warp box is a hidden Green Star. Climb the wall in a Cat Suit or use the spring blocks and a wall jump to reach it.

Green Star 2 Location

The purple box on the left side of the purple tower leads to a room with crates and a ? block. Break the crate in the rear left to release a Green Star.

Green Star 3 Location

This is on floating platforms with a Wizrobe you can snag a Green Star.

Stamp Location
The Stamp is just before the final flag. You'll need a Cat Suit or a double jump to reach it.

World 1-Toad
Walk Toad through this easy level to get 5 Green Stars.

World 1-Boss Bowser's Highway Showdown

This page contains the Green Star locations, Secrets and Stamp Location for Super Mario 3D World's World 1-Boss Bowser's Highway Showdown. You'll need 10 Green Stars to enter this castle, so be sure to comb World 1 for Green Stars using this guide if you come up short.

Green Star 1 Location

At the very start of the level, run through the Green Star Outline and collect the 8 Green Star Coins to make the Green Star appear.

Stamp Location
After you cross the first bridge, look for four conspicuous silver blocks under the Cat Suit switch. You can run into one of the Soccer Bombs to kick it into the silver blocks to reveal the Stamp.

Green Star 2 Location

Use the gear-shaped Cat Switch to lift a tower of bricks above the Stamp location. You can get the Cat Suit from a block between the two Thwomps ahead. Climb the tower to the very top by running up the walls in the Cat Suit to get this Green Star.

Green Star 3 Location

This Green Star is in a stack of Goombas which you can cut down to size with Cat Suit swipes. You can't miss it.

Boss: Bowser
This battle is MUCH easier with the Cat Suit. Using Cat Suit swipes you can knock the Soccer Bombs into Bowser's ugly face instead of his car, doing a huge amount of damage. Do this twice and he'll go down easy.

Otherwise, you'll have to chase after his car, and keep close to it so he throws Soccer Bombs. If you are too far away he won't throw them. Run around the front of Soccer Bombs and bump them into Bowser's car.

Watch for the fire balls and avoid the pools of fire in the second half of the fight. It will take a few hits for each round to destroy Bowser's car.

World 2-1 Conkdor Canyon

This page contains the Green Star locations, Secrets and Stamp Location for Super Mario 3D World's World 2-1 Conkdor Canyon.

Green Star 1 Location

This Green Star is on a high tower near the start of the level. At the tower's base you can grab a Cat Suit.

Green Star 2 Location

After crossing the thin wall area, look for a Conkdor surrounded by four silver blocks. Let the Conkdor destroy all of the blocks, one will reveal a Green Star.

Stamp Location
This Stamp is in the middle of the level, just before you cross the long, moving bridge. You can't miss it.

Green Star 3 Location

Pass the Stamp and you'll find a Toad avoiding a Conkdor. Kill the Conkdor by stomping on its head or swiping at it as Cat Suit Mario and Toad will give up a Green Star.

Secret: Gold Pipe

A Gold Pipe is high above a tall tower near the start of the level. Climb the far side of the tower using the green ledge and a Cat Suit to get to it. Inside you can leap over a chasm to collect a shower of coins.

World 2-3 Shadow-Play Alley

This page contains the Green Star locations, Secrets and Stamp Location for Super Mario 3D World's World 2-3 Shadow-Play Alley.

Green Star 1 Location

Look for a Star shadow after passing the first Piranha Plants. Walk towards the screen to reveal a secret area with this Green Star.

Stamp Location
In the area where you can only see your shadow, use the Cat Suit (a bell shadow can be found here) to bust through some blocks under the giant Piranha Plant to get the Stamp.

Green Star 2 Location

In the area with the Pink Blocks on the rear wall, pick up the sleeping Piranha Plant in the pot (Use the HOLD button and walk into it) and use it to eat the Pink Blocks. Use the Purple Warp Block to enter a secret area with a switch. Hit the switch quickly and then run off the right side of the stairs and enter a secret area beneath them to score the Green Star. You only have 10 seconds!

Green Star 3 Location

Run past the red door leading to the end of the level to find a secret area with a cowering Toad and a Bowser shadow. Run towards the screen and jump into the Bowser standee to make it fall over. Toad will give you a Green Star.

Secret: Hidden Luigi

Climb up the wall to the left at the start of the level to see an 8-bit Luigi shadow ducking.

World 2 Mystery House

You can get 5 Green Stars in this level by defeating 5 waves of enemies; 2 Goombas; 2 Koopas; 2 Cat Goombas; 4 Conkdors; 2 Fire Bros. The Cat Suits you can get from the Cat Goombas will help you with the harder enemies. Just keep swiping for all 5 Green Stars.

World 2-5 Double Cherry Pass

This page contains the Green Star locations, Secrets and Stamp Location for Super Mario 3D World's World 2-5 Double Cherry Pass.

Green Star 1 Location

Break the crates around the first clear pipe to find a Green Star.

Green Star 2 Location

You'll need a Double Cherry or another player to get this Star. Just before the halfway point flag, look for two ! pads. You must have a double of your character or a friend stand on one pad at the same time you stand on the other to reveal a Green Star.

Stamp Location
You'll need a Double Cherry or another player to get this Star too. On the wide hill just past the halfway point flag, look for a few ? blocks on the far left. One of these can be hit to create blocks above it, which disappear after a while. Have one clone or a friend stand under the block and hit it,

while another clone or character stands right on top of it. Don't move, just hit jump until you get lifted into the Stamp.

Green Star 3 Location

You'll need at least 4 Double Cherry clones or 4 friends to get this Green Star. At the very end of the level, look for the 4 pad to the left of the final flag. Stand on this pad to get elevated into a Green Star. Note that there is a final Double Cherry hidden in an invisible block just to the left of the flag at the base of the hill.

World 2-Boss Bowser's Bullet Bill Brigade

This page contains the Green Star locations, Secrets and Stamp Location for Super Mario 3D World's World 2-Boss Bowser's Bullet Bill Brigade.

Green Star 1 Location

At the bend in the road, this Green Star is nestled between 3 Piranha Plants. Kill them with the Fire Flower or Cannon Box to get the Star.

Green Star 2 Location

This Green Star is in a crate on a tank. You can find this crate just after the bend in the road.

Stamp Location
The Stamp is on on a cage above some crates near the end of the tank brigade. You must destroy the crates with the Cannon Box or a Fire Flower to get this Stamp. Rush ahead to get it as you have to jump up and backwards to pick it up, which can take some time.

Green Star 3 Location

At the end of the tank brigade is a wall with a Bowser target painted on it. You can only destroy this with the Cannon Box from the very beginning of the level. Safely avoid all the obstacles with the Cannon Box -- and use it to kill enemies -- and you can aim it right at this wall to reveal the Green Star. Note that you can hold down the RUN button to charge a Cannon Box shot and let it shoot further.

Boss: Boom-Boom
Boom Boom can be killed with Fire Flower fireballs, Cannon Box fire, or just plain old head-stompin. Each time Boom Boom spins he becomes vulnerable to any attacks. If he's in his shell he's invincible. Even during a brief period when he's invisible you can still see him shimmering and jump over his attacks (or just stay far away). Stomp him three times or halt him with projectiles three times to complete the level.

World 3-1 Snowball Park

This page contains the Green Star locations, Secrets and Stamp Location for Super Mario 3D World's World 3-1 Snowball Park. This level contains some cool Suits and Power-Ups you haven't had access to before, including the Super Leaf (Tanooki Suit), Helicopter Block and Kuribo's Skate. You can pick up a Helicopter Box at the very start of the level. Cross the first section of ice and look behind the tree for this special item. You can knock the enemy out of any ice skate in the level to take over Kuribo's Skate. The Super Leaf can be found in a block in the middle of the level.

Green Star 1 Location

The first Green Star is behind a wall of 9 enemies flying in formation. Kill them and you can get to the Star in a cubby behind them in the cliff wall.

Green Star 2 Location

A rabbit holds the second Green Star, but it's pretty tricky to catch. You can find the rabbit right after the large, circular, frozen pond. Try to trap it against the rear wall as it hops up or down to the upper level.

Stamp Location
The Stamp is in an obvious area just before the green warp pipe leading out of the level. Getting to it is tricky, since it's on a thin strip of ice. Go slow!

Green Star 3 Location

You can pick up a Helicopter Box at the very start of the level. Cross the first section of ice and look behind the tree for this special item. Get to the very end of the level, just before the tube leading to the flag, and you can use this item to fly up to the final Green Star in a hidden cubby hole above the trees.

World 3-2 Chain Link Charge

This page contains the Green Star locations, Secrets and Stamp Location for Super Mario 3D World's World 3-2 Chain Link Charge. Note that you have to unlock World 3-2 by spending 30 Green Stars.

Green Star 1 Location

Look for this Green Star above the third vertical moving gate. Use the Cat Suit to scramble up the grate and grab it.

Green Star 2 Location

This is a tricky Green Star to get to. Do not take the orange warp box to the second half of the level. Instead, look for this Green Star to the far right on a cloud, past two pairs of moving fences. To get to it, jump into the gates as they open and use the Cat Suit's dash attack to span the remaining gap to get to the Star. Use the same move to get back to solid ground.

Stamp Location
The Stamp in this level is located near a clear tube in the second half of the level. You must use a Cat Suit to reach it. Luckily you can get a Cat Suit in a nearby ? block. Climb the fence to reach it.

Green Star 3 Location

The final Green Star is easiest with a Cat Suit. Take the clear tube up to a Cat Switch and hit it to raise a platform with the Green Star. Climb the platform with the Cat Suit. If you don't have a cat suit, a well-placed side-flip will reach high enough to get the star.

Secret: Hidden Luigi

The first time you hit the lone coin block by the second moving gate, look for a small 8-bit Luigi to hop out of it.

World 3-3 Shifty Ghost Mansion

This page contains the Green Star locations, Secrets and Stamp Location for Super Mario 3D World's World 3-3 Shifty Ghost Mansion.

Green Star 1 Location

At the first red carpet conveyor belt, you can jump into the painting of a Boo. Wait for the room to rotate and you can nab the Green Star here.

Stamp Location
Stand on the first sofa you come to and it will lift you to this Stamp.

Green Star 2 Location

This Green Star is behind the furthest left bookshelf in the library. Stand on the top of the shelves here to get them to shift and reveal the Star.

Green Star 3 Location

The final Green Star is above the final door leading outside -- it's just after a long staircase leading down. Here you can ride a red sofa up above the door area to find a green pipe. The pipe turns into a Green Star when you approach it.

World 3-4 Pretty Plaza Panic

This page contains the Green Star locations, Secrets and Stamp Location for Super Mario 3D World's World 3-4 Pretty Plaza Panic. You'll want to play as Princess Peach to collect everything in this level.

Green Star 1 Location

The first Green Star is easy to miss in this short level. Right at the start, turn around and look for it behind you on a small cloud platform.

Green Star 2 Location

A rabbit holds this Green Star halfway through the level. Chase it around the pool to catch it.

Stamp Location
To the left of the platforms just past the rabbit you'll find a Princess Button. Hit it as the princess to reveal the Stamp.

Green Star 3 Location

A cloud near the exit leads to a secret area, the key is to get here quickly so you have enough time to explore the secret area. Grab the Star here and run to the right, deftly jumping over gaps to reach the star.

World 3-A Magikoopa Blockade

Destroy the three Magikoopas for a Green Star.

World 3-5 Pipeline Lagoon

This page contains the Green Star locations, Secrets and Stamp Location for Super Mario 3D World's World 3-5 Pipeline Lagoon.

Green Star 1 Location

Don't leave the first underwater area via clear pipe. Travel up above it and the water will raise to allow you to grab this Green Star.

Stamp Location
The Stamp can be found above the second underwater area. Before you plunge deep into the second area, look for a gap in the ceiling. Travel up through the ceiling to find this Stamp. Destroy the other boxes here to find a Cannon Box too!

Green Star 2 Location

Get the Cannon Box near the Stamp and sink down to the bottom of the area. You will find a cracked wall here. Destroy it with a Cannon Box shot and you will be transported to a new area. Get the Green Star here, and a bunch of loot to boot!

Green Star 3 Location

Keep the Cannon Box for the next area and kill all nine puffer fish. The last three are swimming under a nearly invisible gap in the ceiling. Swim up here to find the Green Star. It's above the crates on the right. Use the green pipe above to leave the area.

World 3-6 Mount Must Dash

This page contains the Green Star locations, Secrets and Stamp Location for Super Mario 3D World's World 3-6 Mount Must Dash, Mario Kart-themed level.

Green Star 1 Location

Take the lower path when the track splits and you can leap carefully to this Green Star.

Green Star 2 Location

Just past the halfway mark is a purple warp box you can drop to. This will warp you to a secret area with a rabbit that holds your Green Star. This is an especially fast rabbit and you'll need to use the dash pads to reach it. Unfortunately, this makes it tough to also gran the Star. Try to run in circles and line up a leap to the Star.

Stamp Location
In the second stretch of dashes you'll pass under some orange pads. Use the jump pad to get up to these and they will vault you right into the Stamp.

Green Star 3 Location

A final jump pad before the final slope to the orange warp box that takes you to the flag can get you to the third Green Star. The best way to get there is to use a Cat Suit. Luckily, you can pick one up right at the start of the level. Climb the tree and a Bell will appear. Use the Cat Suit to run, leap off the jump block and, at the height of the jump, use the dash attack to reach the Green Star.

World 3-7 Switchboard Falls

You can grab more Cat Suits on the snake platforms Hisstocrat raises. Most of these platforms will lift plates above their heads you can climb to with the Cat Suit. From here, you can jump onto Hisstocrat's head to damage him. Avoid his rock attacks by running away from the shadows. Stamp Location
This Stamp is directly above the Midway Flag. You can either step on the block with 4 fellow players, 4 Double Cherry clones, or you can just use a Cat Suit to climb to it.

Green Star 2 Location

A Green Pipe before the long ramp down leads to a secret area with a room full of Blue Coins. Use clones or players to collect them all and you'll get a Green Star.

Green Star 3 Location

This Green Star is extremely easy with multiplayer (or a second controller you use by yourself to add a player) but it's extremely hard in single player. You need to get to the pads at the very end of the level that require two people or two clones to push -- which means you need to take on that huge ramp with multiple clones. You can make this easier on yourself by only taking two clones, pressing your clones against the barriers just before the ramp to get them in one, toboggan-like row, and starting the ramp on the left side, right when it appears. This will allow you to slide straight onto the last stretch instead of crossing over a tricky diagonal gap. Good luck!

Green Star 2 Location

This Green Star is near the midway flag, against the back cliff wall. Two bounce platforms lower here but you can only reach them if you bring a Cat Suit or grab the spring from the green enemy near the previous star. It's tough to carry this across the platforms since it revives eevry few seconds.

Green Star 3 Location

Use the purple warp box to reach a secret area with a Green Star high above three green enemies. One green enemy holds a spring you can carry to the tall platform and use to reach the Green Star.

Stamp Location

After you travel under the lava in the clear pipe, enter the purple pipe warp box to find a secret area. Stun two Broulders and throw them on two P pads and stand on the third. Do it fast or you'll miss this Green Star!

Stamp Location
This tough-to-find Stamp requires a Cat suit, which you can get from the Red Coin Ring or from destroying all the blocks on the long bridge before the green warp pipe. On the wall just before this final bridge sits a Stamp, high above the level. Climb the left side with the Cat Suit to find a landing, and then the stamp.

World Crown-Crown Champion's Road is regarded as Super Mario 3D World's hardest level. You may want to stock up on Infinite Lives before you attempt it. And you will definitely want to grab a Tanooki Suit or use the Princess to practice the tougher areas of the level if you simply can't beat it with Mario.

Walkthrough
This level will test all of your platforming abilities, no matter what character you play as. As stated above, characters who can float or suits that reduce falling speed are very useful in completing this level, although it can be done without any powerups. Video Walkthrough

As the level begins, race off towards the Octoombas. The first will spout projectiles at you as you approach, so steer clear and jump across the gap to the second and third platform. The next Octoomba stands between you and the next platform. He will not start shooting at you until the platform stops, so wait until the platform is about to stop before running slightly past him and long jumping to the next platform. You can try ground pounding them, but with moving platforms, it's easier to dodge them. Get on board the next platform, and wait until it reaches the final Octoomba before long jumping off the very top of the platform towards the clear pipe.

Now you'll be zig-zagging through three Fire Bros, none of which you should try and directly engage. For the most part, unless an enemy has to be defeated to progress, just avoid them. If you happen to land on a Fire Bro, that's fine to, but focus on running around the back of them as you make your way to next area.

This next area is composed of small narrow platforms that can be ran across, and several Charging Chucks that seek to block you. Sprint across the platform towards the first Chuck and wait until he begins to charge. Wait until he get close to jump over him and land on one of the last two platforms before getting to the next area. Take care to aim for the platforms so you do not fall through the gaps. As the camera pans over, three more Charging Chucks await you. Begin running along the top tier of platforms towards the first Chuck on the right, then cut diagonally across to the lower set of platforms. It may look like you will fall through but you will not if you don't run parallel to a platform. The first two Chucks should run into each other, leaving you to jump over the third, then finally the last Chuck and onto the last platform and onto the next area.

The next area is comprised of Beep Blocks that will change after roughly a second. Some of these parts may seem impossible without a Tanooki Suit, but they can be done. Begin by waiting until the blue blocks disappear before long jumping out to the middle of them, landing as they appear. Immediately long jump across the gap to the last red block so you can land when that appears, then long jump across to the blue blocks as they appear.

Now you'll have to climb several stairs of Beep Blocks, with a very tricky finisher. If you have the Tanooki Suit or are using Peach, take advantage of gliding to plan your descent carefully, and wait for blocks to appear. Otherwise, use the momentum from jumping across the previous blocks to head towards the first blue block on the right, jumping up the right side of the stairs to the top blue blocks. As soon as you land, run and jump from the top right side of the blue blocks to clear the lower red blocks and hit the top red block, and long jump to the blue blocks across the gap.

If you thought those stairs were tough, it only gets tougher. The first three Beep Blocks seem easy enough, but the rest are paired in twos, and will require constant momentum to clear the blocks fast enough to get to the next set before the second is up. Again, Tanooki suit users will have an easier time. You can also jump from the second to last blue block and wall jump against the platform's edge if you run out of time. If you don't have enough speed to clear the blocks and get stuck halfway, its better to jump back down to the bottom and try again. Alternatively, if you jump so that you land just after the blocks appear, you can clear the red double-step to land on the first blue double step. Once there, turn around and fall off back onto the top of the red double step, and jump back to the blue steps and up to the top platform. This method requires less momentum. Once you arrive at the platform, grab the first Green Star and jump into the cannon.

The next area features 3 Magikoopas, falling blocks that reappear, and 4 fire bars at each corner. As soon as you land, jump over their attacks and take out the far left one. Head to the middle, and wait for the top Magikoopa to teleport to the left, and take him out, then head back to the middle to take out the last Magikoopa, and stick around to jump into the box.

This new area features rolling spiked pendulums, and if they weren't enough, walls of Fuzzies will try to block your progress. Lucky for you there is a sleeping Piranha Plant that can be grabbed past the first spiked pendulum. Time your jump to avoid the spikes, and head to the top platform and wait for the moving platform to reach you. Jump on it, but watch for the back-swing of the pendulum, and have the plant eat the Fuzzies to continue.

Move onwards and upwards to the next two walls of Fuzzies. Once you get onto the narrow platform you won't have to worry about the pendulum behind you. Chomp down enough Fuzzies to where you are comfortable, then jump onto the two moving platforms with two spiked pendulums. Watch for them to swing together as the platforms meet, and cross to the other side without getting hit to get the second Green Star and onto the next area.

Here you will be greeted with a long shaft crawling with spiked enemies. If you have a Cat suit, now would be a good time to switch from the Tanooki Suit, but not for the reasons you might think. This part can easily done with no suits at all if you know what to do. Wait at the bottom for a spiked enemy to begin crawling down. Jump up off the boosted platform, and hold A to bounce high off the enemies back, then quickly wall jump to the other side, above the next enemy, and repeat the process. While it is viable to climb with the Cat suit, it's harder to avoid enemies than you might think, and the Tanooki Suit just slows your ability to bounce off the enemies. Once at the top, bounce off the sleeping Piranha Plants like the previous enemies to get to the next area.

This place is filled with spikes, and a moving rectangle of water that doesn't wait around for you. Try and keep pace by sticking along the white blocks and avoiding the moving red spikes. Don't be afraid to slow down to avoid spikes, you'll have a few moments to catch up with the water at the end, before quickly swimming upwards as it begins to move back.

Carefully dodge the spikes and move along the top towards the very end where a red spiked block is blocking a clear pipe. You'll have a few moments to get into position before the spiked block moves out of the way, then quickly ground pound to shoot down into the water and into the pipe.

Now comes the hardest part of the level, which can be a nightmare for those without Tanooki Suits or using Peach. The area is comprised completely of Speed Boosts, which means you will be unable to stop moving once you begin. You can jump and change direction a bit, but for the most part you will be unable to slow down, and the timed shockwaves of death will require timing to avoid. Running in circles can be useful, here, as it has a similar effect to stopping in that your movement is limited. When you are ready, begin running along the first path, and jump when the first shockwave is about to pass you. Take a quick left and then a right and prepare to jump. Be warned that this jump is where the first two shockwave squares intersect. Keep hopping across platforms, and use the Tanooki suit to avoid shockwaves if you can. The second and third shockwaves will intersect at the second platform, so keep an eye out for when you'll need to jump.

Finally, this last area is comprised of five circular shockwave generators. You'll need to grab the Green Star at the entrance, and 5 keys to unlock the exit. 4 keys will be in each corner, with one in the very center. Note how they circles intersect, as it can be the key to survival here. The bottom right shockwave jus barely intersects with the main arena, but the other 4 will create overlapping circles that encompass the whole area. After they shockwaves pass, you'll only have a second to run uninterrupted before the next wave begins. Time your jump and watch out for incoming shockwaves, and you'll soon have all the keys, unlocking the exit.

If you made it, congratulations! Enjoy Nintendo's fun little message on your journey to the goal post,

as several characters cheer you on (Don't forget the stamp next to the goal post!).

If you didn't make it yet, don't worry! It's a tough level - the toughest in fact! Practice enough and you'll get all the timing down for each area in no time!

Cheats and Secrets

No Mario game could be complete without its share of secrets. Secrets in this game range from Secret Exits to hidden paths, unlockable areas, unlockable characters, infinite lives, free items and more! Know of a secret that we don't? Share it here!

Infinite Lives
You can get 1,110 lives (represented as three crowns by your life counter), in World 1-2. You can do this by passing the first Koopa and making your way to the area with a second Koopa and a Goomba on a slightly raised platform. Kill the Goomba, then jump on the green Koopa and steal its shell. Hop up onto the platform with the Goomba and face the rear wall while standing in front of the three brick blocks (press the D-pad UP to aim directly at the wall). Alternate method: You can get more lives (about 900) if you toss the first shell through the pipe, so that it bounces back and forth on the lip of the lower pipe. As long as you are facing the right direction (East/West) the shell will bounce back and forth very fast.

Unlockable Character: Rosalina

Rosalina is an unlockable playable character in Super Mario 3D World, as revealed in November 13th's Nintendo Direct. She has a special spin attack. She can be unlocked by beating the 2nd Level in the Star World. The level is called "Super Galaxy", homeage to Rosalina's game, Super Mario Galaxy. She is found at the end of the level.

Secret Exit Locations (Warp Zones)

Super Mario 3D World contains Secret Exits, or Warp Zones, that are well-hidden red warp pipes. Here are the locations of every Warp Zone.

World 1-2 Warp to World 2

The Cat Suit is required for this cheat, so pick one up in World 1-1 Super Bell Hill and hold it in your inventory or wear it through the level. Near the end of the underground portion of the level is a pipe that splits into two paths, one with a loop with coins in it.

WORLD 4-2 WARP TO WORLD 5

The Cat Suit is required for this cheat, so have one handy in the inventory or nab it in the area. After exiting the underground portion (with the checkpoint flag) you will come out of a warp pipe with a clear mystery box. Run up the wall that it is touching to reach the top of the waterfall. After jumping across the poisonous water, there will be red warp pipe. This will warp you to World 5! Have you found any Warp Zones we haven't? Please add them to this page, but please make sure you use the same format as the other entries on this page. If you need help, just hit FLAG PAGE.

Unlockable: Luigi Bros.

A modified version of the NES version of the classic Nintendo arcade game Mario Bros. called Luigi Bros. can be played from the menu screen of Super Mario 3D World. It is unclear how this game is unlocked at this point, but it will automatically be unlocked early on Wii Us with New Super Luigi U saves on them. In it you can play as two different versions of Luigi simultaneously. [1] Submitted by Mr.Books- Using Luigi in World Star-2 (I do not own New Super Luigi U), I hit a block about midway through the course which unlocked the game. There is a collection of three floating blocks just after the first green star, sitting right next to a Luma Star. When I struck the middle block (multiple coins) a tiny hidden Luigi popped out at the end. After this, Luigi Bros was unlocked, and I began to see the Hidden Luigis everywhere. It is unclear to me at this time if that was exactly how I unlocked the game, because I did use Luigi often. My best guess is that it is either unlocked by finding a hidden Luigi or by playing a certain amount of levels/gametime with Luigi.

Change Level Flags

If you reach the top of a flag pole, the flag on the map screen will turn gold instead of your characters color. If you get all the Green Stars in a level, a spinning Green Star will appear above the flag pole replacing the metal ball. The symbol on the flag will also change depending on which character was

used for that level or, if you're playing multiplayer, who got the highest on the flagpole. If you use all 5 characters in the level at some point in time, (Mario, Luigi, Toad, Peach and Rosalina) The green star pendant will turn golden, along with the rest of the flagpole. You do not need to use all characters at the same time, because that is imposible.

Hidden Luigis
There are many hidden Luigis throughout the entire game. They reside within levels, in the overworld maps and even within minigames! While it is not yet clear whether or not they appear within every single level there are more hidden Luigis than you can shake a stick at. They are there for everyone to celebrate The Year Of Luigi one last time! Submitted by Mr.Books- New Super Luigi U is not needed to activate these hidden bonuses. However, I have only encountered them while playing as Luigi and after the Luigi Bros VC game was unlocked. Please edit if you can verify the direct cause.

The 5 Final Character Stamps

5 Stamps are not collected in levels and appear to be portraits of the 5 main characters (including Rosalina). These stamps are only unlocked when you beat all levels with each character. For instance, if you beat every level with Mario, you will get the Mario Stamp.

If you play the game with multiple players, they all count for this challenge so long as they touch the end flag. This means that the shortest way to get all 85 Stamps is to play the game once with three characters playing at once, then play every level again with Rosalina and the remaining character.

How to Get 5 Save Profile Stars

You can get 5 Stars by your save profile in Super Mario 3D World, to get each star, complete the following challenges: Beat Worlds 1-8 Get every Green Star in Worlds 1 through World Flower Beat World Star, World Mushroom, and World Flower Get every Green Star in the game Get every Green Star, Gold Flagpole and Stamp. To get every Stamp you must beat every world with every character, including Rosalina.

Warp Zones
Super Mario 3D World contains Secret Exits, or Warp Zones, that are well-hidden red warp pipes. Here are the locations of every Warp Zone.

World 1-2 Warp to World 2

While using the Cat Suit the player is also able to stop in mid air and pounce nearby as seen in the picture below.

The suit is golden in color and looks similar to the Tanooki Suit.

Tanooki Suit
The Tanooki suit is a magical suit used by Mario and company through the years originally in Super Mario Bros 3 for the NES, up to it's latest appearence in the 3D series previous entry, Super Mario 3D Land. The Tanooki suit serves the same role it does in the previous 3D game using the tail to float and whack enemies.

Please note that this image is a placeholder until the official artwork is revealed or image of a Tanooki Mario is specifically found in game. This image is of Tanooki Mario in his latest appearence: Super Mario 3D Land. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Possible Tanooki Costume Differences Within Characters

A large plausible fact on costumes with the main characters is within the fact that Luigi takes on a form resembling that of a Kitsune (A Japanese fox.) This can also lead to speculation as whether Toad or Peach will be gaining unique outfits as well. But this idea is brought down due to the fact that artwork in the series previous entry, Super Mario 3D Land, showcased Toad (Blue Toad as well) and Peach having Tanooki suits as well.

Mega Mushroom

The Mega Mushroom is a Power-Up that makes Mario giant and allows him to crush most everything in sight. This is the first appearance of this power-up in a 3-D Mario game.

Goomba Suit
The Goomba Suit lets you look like a Goomba. While in the Goomba suit, Goombas will not attack you, even if they were charging at you.

Beam Box
Can light up dark areas and kill ghost.

Unnamed Kuribo's Boot-Like Ability

A Kuribo's Boot-like ability has been seen throughout Super Mario 3D World through the games E3 announcement to latest trailers. It seems to have A sledding function within ice-theme levels within the game

Universe
The Mushroom Kingdom is as rich and deep as ever and as more details are revealed about what we can find in 3D World, they will appear here.

Characters

Characters
In Super Mario 3D World you have the choice to play as either Mario, Luigi, Toad, or Princess Peach. This is the first time since Super Mario 2 that you have a choice of either of these characters in the same game.

Mario

Mario is well rounded. He can jump high, run quickly, and is fairly easy to control as he does not slide much. Mario is good for anybody.

Luigi

Luigi is springy and slippery. Luigi jumps slightly higher than Mario, but he can be a little tricker to move because he slides more than Mario. Good for people who are good at moving around and/or are bad at jumping.

Blue Toad

Blue Toad is the quickest runner of the bunch, and accelerates faster, but does not jump as high. Good for speedrunners and the adventurous type.

Princess Peach

Princess Peach is the slowest and accelerates slower. She jumps normal height but floats down slower. Good for beginners or those who want precise timing.

Mario

Mario is a confirmed playable character in Super Mario 3D world and is the pre-set choice for player one. Mario has an average run speed and jump height.

Luigi

Luigi, Mario's brother, is a confirmed playable character for the game. He will have the highest jump in the game as typical for Luigi.

Peach

Peach is a playable character for the first time in a Main series Mario game since Super Mario Bros. 2. This means the story doesn't feature Mario going through a series of levels to try and save her. She will have the longest jump in the game thanks to her ability to float.

Toad

Toad is a playable character in Super Mario 3D World and seems to be based on previous Blue Toad's in the series. It's been confirmed that he'll have the fastest running speed in the game.

Locations
As shown in the recent trailers featuring ideas of story plot. Mario, Luigi, Toad, and Peach travel through a clear pipe that leads to the Sprixie Kingdom. A map of world 1 has been shown in recent videos. Images of the world map have been released as well as showcasing World 1 in a short clip. This marks the first time in the 3D series to ever feature a freeroaming world map.

Enemies
Banzai Bill
A big version of the Bullet Bill, have been trying to damage Mario since their appearance in Super Mario World. They are angry bullets which fly slowly towards you, and when they hit you, it's gonna be bad for you!

Boo
A ghostly enemy first appearing in Super Mario Bros 3 for the NES, (though credited as Boo Diddly at that time.) Boo's serve as the major enemies in haunted house levels but have been seen in other world based levels as well. They are very shy and are prone to cover their face when seen.

Chargin' Chuck
After a long time of absence, Chargin' Chucks are back. Just like in Super Mario World, they'll charge on you and throw footballs, etc. etc. to you. Just 1 difference: They need 2 jumps to be defeated instead of 3. First jump will make them lose their helmets and also make them angry, and second jump will defeat them.

Fuzzy
Fuzzies are little black furry creatures with goofy faces. You'll find them inside Clear Pipes which are all around the Sprixie Kingdom. Watch out when you are going inside the Clear Pipes, or you'll end up hitting them.

Goomba
These little brown angry mushrooms have appeared since Super Mario Bros. in almost every Mario game, and are the starting enemies. They can be roasted and defeated by a fireball, or squished by a simple stomp on their heads. They can also be hit by a soccer ball, which will also defeat them. They can also be hit by a boomerang out of Boomerang Mario.

Koopa Troopa
The Mario series' main type of villian. You can stomp them to make them pop out of their shells, and hold their shells and throw the shells to take out things with it. You can also go inside the shell by use of a certain button while holding the shell, making you able to move around inside the shell.

Conkdor

These tall birds first appeared in Super Mario 3D World. They try to damage you by falling on you. If you get hit by their beak, you'll get...beaked! They even try to hit the Toad Brigade Captain in one level. You can stomp on it's head or swipe it with the Cat Suit to defeat it.
