9. The Woodridge Memorial Wall

The Memorial wall evolved as a way for the community to commemorate the closing and remodel of their beloved Woodridge Neighborhood Library. Located in the children's room, the wall was meant to attract mostly kids and teens. Some farewells include: When one young teen was asked to write on the wall, she said "Seriously? I thought you'd never ask... I LOVE THIS!" She is a quiet teen who spends a lot of time on the computer. She wrote very sweetly: "Dar was here. And thanks for all the help." "The Woodridge Library is where I learned to play violin. Thank you for that opportunity."
