SmartRad fan convectors for heating and cooling

SmartRad fan convectors Conventional convectors and radiators need relatively high flow temperatures to provide good heating coverage and do not consume energy as efficiently as they could. Panel heating systems, for example underfloor heating, can help to save energy and heating costs as they are operated at low flow temperatures. However, panel heating is expensive and difficult to engineer when renovating old buildings or upgrading an existing system. High heat output and cooling capacity with a sophisticated design Fan convectors have a specially designed heat exchanger which is ideal for heating living spaces in an energy-efficient manner when combined with low temperature heating systems in an older building. The low-noise fans distribute heat evenly to warm the room for optimum comfort. When installed with a reversible heat pump this convector can be used for cooling and ensures that the desired temperature is reached quickly with its powerful energy output. The new SmartRad series for heating and cooling combines a sophisticated design with advanced technology.

Suitable for heating and cooling Automatic regulation of three fan levels depending on heating and cooling requirements. The maximum fan level can be preset. Automatic switch-off at flow temperatures of less than 25C in heating or higher than 20C in cooling operation Maximum permissible flow temperature 85 C Heating connection optionally on the left or right

Electronic room temperature control/optional programming module The desired room temperature can be set using the integrated electronic thermostat. The convector's electronics compares the set temperature and room temperature to adjust the three fan levels automatically to reach the set temperature. If there is a big difference between the room and the set temperature, the convector switches to the highest fan level. When the room temperature gets closer to the set temperature, the air flow is reduced in stages and switches off automatically when the room temperature is reached. The maximum fan level can be preset manually, for example to avoid high fan levels in bedrooms.

The RMT 2, RX TI 24, RX PW 1 and RX TI RB programming modules, which are available as an accessory can be used to adjust lowering, heating or cooling times for each week day according to the consumer's habits. Programming cassettes are available for rooms which have several convectors (such as offices).
