Interstate 215 - a major corridor that connects residents, motorists and visitors to Californias southland. The project adds a carpool lane in both directions between I-10 and SR-210, connector ramps from I-215 and SR-210, and auxiliary lanes along the corridor. SANBAG, Caltrans, the Federal Highway Administration, and the City of San Bernardino have teamed up to make these freeway improvements a reality. This major expansion and revitalization project, which broke ground in February 2007, will help reduce congestion and improve trafc ow on this important freeway that serves as a gateway to Victor Valley, Orange County, Los Angeles County and

Project Funding
The I-215 Widening Project is funded by a combination of federal, state and local funds. In 2009, $128 million was secured from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and $81 million in Proposition 1B funding. The local funds are made possible by Measure I - the voter-approved half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements in San Bernardino County.
