Here is a list of the differences between the Eastern Aramaic PeshittA and the Western Aramaic PeshittO, with

many English translations compared to show which texts they tend to be swayed by. [Murdock & TWI sometimes put the variant
verse in brackets, so here they appear in brackets (i.e.-[ ]) to indicate when they do so.] 1) MattithYahu 6:32
PeshittA: Younan, Roth, Etheridge, Alexander, Murdock, Magiera MGI, Lamsa, Magiera APM, Magiera AP, & Pashka -

the People/Nations of the World.

PeshittO: Jahn, Werner, Bauscher, TWI, & *Martin -

the Peoples/Nations
(Martin has Heathen)

2) MattithYahu 21:4
PeshittA: Etheridge, Martin, Alexander, Murdock, Magiera MGI, Lamsa, Magiera APM, & Pashka -

All this happened.

PeshittO: Jahn, Werner, Bauscher, TWI, Magiera AP, *Roth, & *Younan -

This happened.
(Younan admits that he made a boo-boo here, and that it should read instead as - All this happened ) (Roth's footnote on this verse admits the Eastern PeshittA Text contains the word " All ", and that the Western PeshittO tests lack it. Roth follows Younan's mistaken Interlinear reading, as it was/ is his BASE TEXT.)

3) Markos 14:31
PeshittA: Younan, Roth, Etheridge, Martin, Alexander, Murdock, Magiera MGI, Lamsa, Magiera APM, TWI, & Pashka -

all the Disciples said

PeshittO: Jahn, Werner, Bauscher, & Magiera AP -

all (of them) said. 4) Loukanus 22:17-18

PeshittA: Younan, Roth, Martin, *Magiera MGI, Magiera APM, *Magiera AP, & TWI -

doesnt have it.

PeshittO: *Jahn, Werner, Bauscher, Pashka, Lamsa, [*Murdock], Alexander, & Etheridge -

has it.
(Magiera in her MGI and AP translations CLEARLY STATES in her notes that these verse are not in the Peshitta Text.) (Murdock's footnote reads - Adler says, verses 17, 18, are wanting in all MSS. of the Peshito. ) (Jahn has a note for this verse absolutely declaring it is - "not in the Aramaic".)

5) YoKhawnawn 7:53
PeshittA: Younan, Roth, Etheridge, & *Magiera MGI -

doesnt have it.

PeshittO: Jahn, Werner, *Bauscher, Pashka, [TWI], Magiera AP, Magiera APM(Lk 21:37-38), Lamsa, *Murdock, Alexander, & *Martin -

has it.
(Magiera in her MGI translation CLEARLY STATES in her notes that - ---John 7:53-John 8:11 is non-existent in the Eastern Peshitta---) (Murdock's footnote reads - This 53d verse is wanting in many early editions of the Syriac N. Testament. So also the whole story of the adulteress, in the following chapter, v. 1-11.) (Bauscher has a note on this verse saying - The Peshitta mss. do not contain this passage- Jn. 7:53-8:11.) (Martin has a foot note on this verse admitting this 53rd verse is not in the Eastern Aramaic Peshitta Text.)

6) YoKhawnawn 8:1-11
PeshittA: Younan, Roth, Etheridge, & Magiera MGI -

doesnt have it.

PeshittO: *Jahn, Werner,*Bauscher, Pashka, [TWI], Magiera AP, Magiera APM(Lk 21:37-38), Lamsa,*Murdock,*Alexander, & *Martin -

has it. (No early Western texts had this story. It was not added into the Western texts until the 9 th century)
t

(Alexander has a footnote on this verse saying - This 'Story' is not included in many ancient texts.) (See Murdock's footnote for Yo-Khawnawn 7:53 above.) (Jahn has a note for this verse absolutely declaring it is - "not in the Aramaic".) (See Bauscher's footnote for Yo-Khawnawn 7:53 above.) (Martin has a foot note in which he admitts the story of the woman caught in adultery is not in the Eastern Aramaic Peshitta Text.)

7) YoKhawnawn 16:27
PeshittA: Younan, Roth, Etheridge, Martin, Alexander, Murdock, Lamsa, & Magiera APM -

"from The Father"

PeshittO: Jahn, Werner, Bauscher, Pashka, TWI, Magiera AP, & Magiera MGI -

"from Alaha" 8) Acts 3:6

PeshittA: Etheridge, Martin, Alexander, Murdock, Lamsa, & [*Pashka] -

"of our Adon Yehoshua The Anointed One"

PeshittO: Jahn, Werner, Bauscher, TWI, Magiera AP, Magiera APM, Magiera MGI, *Roth, & Younan -

"of Yehoshua The Anointed One" (aligns with the Greek reading )
(Roth in his 1st edition goes against the reading of the Eastern PeshittA Khabouris reading [of which he claims to have translated from] and also oddly against Murdoch's translation [of which he used as his English base text]...and also, as par for his supposed translation, even the Aramaic text to the right shows the UBS reading [which by the way is his Aramaic base text that he used ], rather than the Eastern reading of the Khabouris of which he so boisterously claims he displays in his book so people can view the oldest copy of the Eastern tradition known to date. Yet then he turns right around and clearly admits to displaying the UBS text, and then he says that he [supposedly] edited it to read like the Khabouris text, which is clearly not the case, go figure. Roth still has not corrected this verse in his 2nd, 3rd, and even 4th editions. Oy, clearly his versions are not as accurate as to what he makes them out to be.) (Pashka put the Eastern reading in brackets as if it did not really belong.)

9) Acts 8:37
PeshittA: Younan, Roth, Etheridge, Martin, *Magiera MGI, *Magiera AP, & TWI -

doesnt have it.

PeshittO: *Jahn, Werner, *Bauscher, Pashka, Magiera APM, Lamsa, [*Murdock], & Alexander -

has it.
(Magiera in her MGI and AP Translations CLEARLY STATES in her notes that this verse is - ---non-existent in the Peshitta texts---.) (Murdock's footnote reads - This 37tli verse is not in any of the earlier editions ) (Jahn has a note for this verse absolutely declaring it is - "not in the Aramaic".) (Bauscher's footnote reads - This verse is absent in The Peshitta mss. , however, the Aramaic Scriptures Research Society 1986 edition of The Aramaic Peshitta Text (an edition of The Eastern text) contains it [ in brackets ] and The 1979 Syriac NT critical edition of The Peshitta also has it at the bottom of the page with a note which states that no Syriac manuscript contains it and that it was first supplied in Hutters edition of 1599-1600. The Harklean Syriac version does have this verse, being revised from Greek in AD 616 )

has it.
(Magiera in her MGI and AP Translations CLEARLY STATES in her notes that this verse is - ---non-existent in the Peshitta texts---.) (Murdoch has this note - this verse is removed to the margin in the editions of the British and Foreign Bible Society. ) (Jahn has a note for this verse absolutely declaring it is - "not in the Aramaic".) (Magiera in her MGI and AP Translations CLEARLY STATES in her notes that this verse is - ---non-existent in the Peshitta texts---.) (Murdock notes - this verse 29 is not in the MSS., nor in any of the earlier editions: and the later editions place it in the margin. ) (Jahn has a note for this verse absolutely declaring it is - "not in the Aramaic".)

(Alexander reads: He is, then, very little like the angels, for we have seen that He is Eashoa because of the Passion of His death, and the glory and honor that was consecrated on His head is, therefore, imposed by God in tasting death on behalf of every human being. ) (Magiera's AP + APM & Norton all have hybrid renditions here(?) : for by the grace of Alaha, he tasted death in place of everyone. ) (Martin has a strange reading here, which doesn't line up with what is actually in the text itself. "9 But now we see Someone who was made slightly inferior to the spirit messengers, namely Yeshua Himself, crowned with majesty and honor, because He suffered death. Due to YHVHs mercy, He could experience death for everyone.")

Below are stats on how often the English translations go with the Eastern vs Western variants listed above: (Younan, Norton, and Pashka, are not complete RCs (as of yet), but one can see which way they tend to be swayed.)

( Renders MarYa as the Lord and the Lord (YHWH))

( Does not always translate MarYa correctly, if at all, and sometimes translated "Mar" as "Yah Veh")

(The translations that stick with the PeshittA readings the most start at the top of the list and progress down as they digress, whereby the translations that stick with the PeshittO readings the most start from the bottom of this list and progress upwards thereof as they progress.)
