RESTORATIVE POLICY EXIT FORM: Classroom teacher: _________ Date:_________

The student _____________________ is to go to room ________ to finish the remainder of the session with_____________ (Colleagues initials) OR The student is red carded for refusing to follow the exit instruction OR a serious breach of the code of conduct. A staff member will collect the student from class. _______________________________________________________________________________________ If exited or red carded a student needs to: 1. Think about and fill out responses to the appropriate restorative conversation script (see reverse). Return with this and any work you complete to your teacher at the end of the session. 2. Work quietly on any of the following activities: Continue working on activities from exited class if possible OR study for an upcoming test Find and copy out recipes for your favourite foods Write out your multiplication and division tables from one through to twelve Type a journal entry on a topic of interest. Aim for 300+ words. Enhance with a picture Create a word search on a topic. Also present an answer sheet Draw a series of pictures to illustrate a typical school day for you Brainstorm everything you know about a favourite or suggested topic. Use writing and pictures How many continents, countries and capital cities of the world can you name? Label them on a map Research a planet and present a report on it that uses pictures to enhance the written information Find out about a significant historical person or event and design a poster that displays 10 informative facts. Use pictures

Create a crossword on a topic. Also, present an answer sheet

Write a series of poems or a song. Look up a favourite song and copy out the lyrics. Can you memorise them How many elements from the periodic table do you know? List them and view the elements song to fill in any knowledge gaps Look up a job that sounds interesting. Write about what it involves, how you become qualified, and why/why not you might like to do it

Make up a topic test for a math unit of your year level e.g., addition, long division, algebra or any other

Write a review of a book or film you have viewed. Rate the text out of five stars

Make up some crazy recipes. How outrageous can you be?

Come up with ten+ interview questions for someone who interests you

Make a glossary of 10 or more words. Write them out with their definition. Put each word into a sentence

Look up the names of all the bones in the body. Write them out and name the body part they match with

Topics: Egypt, motorbikes, Napoleon, World War 1, chocolate, polar bears, Cathy Freeman, the farming industry, jazz, ballet, Indian cuisine, the Prime Minister, parkour, Antarctica, the human heart, etc
