JASON FLORES NEW EXECUTIVE CHEF AT DOUBLETREE DOWNTOWN Jason Flores has been named executive chef at Doubletree by Hilton Tulsa Downtown. Flores, originally from Coweta, has worked in multiple resorts across the nation such as The Arizona Biltmore and La Quinta Resort and Spa, both Waldorf Astoria Resorts, holding roles such as banquet chef and sous chef. He graduated from Scottsdale Culinary Institute before starting his career as a banquet cook at a resort in Tucson, Ariz.

Dami Eniola is on a mission at the Tulsa Public Defenders ofce. The British visitor and intern wants to learn everything about how investigators work to protect people facing the death penalty after being convicted of a capital crime. Its not that she will be working on death cases when she returns to England and eventually starts her career as a barrister. When Eniola returns to her native London to continue her work towards becoming a barrister she wants to use the experience gained in Tulsa to analyze her cases more closely. The death penalty was last used in England in 1965 and throughout the United Kingdom by 1973. The death penalty was abolished in all circumstances in 1998. In 2004 the 13th Protocol to the European Convention on Human Rights became binding on the United Kingdom, prohibiting the restoration of the death penalty for as long as the UK is a party to the Convention. During the next six months Eniola, on a working visit from the United Kingdom, will be doing legal research and interviewing death row clients. Her initial efforts are to assist public defenders ofce personnel as they review and prepare the defense in a case that recently was returned to Tulsa County for retrial. She is part of the Amicus Program which sends qualied interns to America to work with public defenders ofces with heavy workloads and limited staff.
