This CPU features SSSE3, SSE4.1 and SSE4.2 instructions. The processor supports Advanced Encryption Standard technology, that acceler ates AES encryption. The instructions are valuable if you need to secure your di sk or network data. The microprocessor incorporates AVX, F16C, FMA3 and XOP instructions, that a ppeared in modern processors not too far ago. These extensions are not extensive ly used by applications yet, however their support should improve in future prog rams. The A4-5300 processor has FMA4 instruction set extension enabled. Only AMD m icroprocessors offer this technology, therefore not many software vendors may su pport it in the future. Power consumption of the AMD A4-5300 is lower. Based on current official prices, the A4-5300 is 48% cheaper than the A8-387 0K. The AMD A4-5300 CPU has 44% better price/performance ratio. AMD still develops processors for Socket FM2, used by the microprocessor. Th e company has plans to introduce new CPUs for the socket in the future. AMD A8-3870K advantages AMD A8-3870K The CPU is 125% faster in multi-threaded tasks. Memory performance of the processor is better. In games and graphics applications, the A8-3870K is 48% faster. 3DNow! technology is avaialable on this microprocessor. These instructions c an boost performance of some old games and software. The 3DNow! set is obsolete now, and not used in modern programs. The CPU is unlocked. The processor can be freely overclocked on most motherb oards to get greater performance.
