Oracle database

OLE DB
24E %B :2b;ect 4in#ing and Embedding, %atabase, sometimes written as 24E%B or 24E-%B<, an +PI designed b$ 7icroso!t, allows accessing data !rom a variet$ o! so rces in a ni!orm manner.
Require Prerequisite
These are the prere5 isite !or creating connection between oracle data so rce and "li#)iew.

Oracle Client:
The client is sed to connect to 2racle databases r nning on other machines. In 2racle -,g edition it alread$ installed with the oracle set p b t in 2racle --g we have to install the client separatel$.
OCI:
The 2racle *all Inter!ace :2*I< consists o! a set o! *-lang age so!tware +PIs which provide an inter!ace to the 2racle database.2*I o!!ers a proced ral +PI !or not onl$ per!orming certain database administration tas#s :s ch as s$stem start p and sh tdown<, b t also !or sing P4=S"4 or S"4 to 5 er$, access, and manip late data. The 2*I librar$, based on 2racle>s ndoc mented ?ser Programmatic Inter!ace :?PI<, acts as an @interpreter@ between applications and the low-level database networ# protocol. The 2*I connection protocol is bac#wards compatible to Ai when !irst implemented b$ 2racle. ?se the most c rrent connector !rom 2racle which incl des the c rrent 7S 2S 24E %B !rom 2racle and incl des 2racles 2*I. Connection

Step .< Then go to the script Editor window and chec# the database inter!ace sho ld be 24E%B and then clic# on the connect option.
Step 3<This will open the %ata 4in# Properties window this having the set o! providers choose the provider >2racle provider !or 24E%B> then clic# the Ce't option.

Step 6<The in the connection tab give the data so rce name as $o have given d ring installation and then the ser name and password !rom which $o logged on the oracle as a ser.
