A story on Parts of Speech There is a happy family in the world of English language. A husband named Mr. Noun and his wife named Mrs. Verb live in the house called Grammar. Mrs. Verb is the life partner of Mr. Noun. They have two sons and a daughter. The elder son occupies the place of his father Mr. Noun, so people call him Pronoun. The younger son is Adjective. He is a poet. He often talks and writes about his father Mr. Noun, where as his sister Ms. Adverb often talks about her mother and sometimes about her younger brother. There is also a servant in their house. He is a joker. People call him Mr. Interjection. Mr. Nouns brother-in-law is called Mr. Preposition. He often helps him by showing his position in life. Ex: Raju is a smart boy Hyderabad is a greater city English is the most useful language 5. Adverbs: Adverb is a word which modifies the meaning of a verb, an adjective or another adverb.Verb Adverb .

Ex: Raju is speaking fluently Hyderabad is growing rapidly English can be learnt easily 6. Prepositions: Preposition is a word used to show the relation of a noun to the other words in a sentence. Noun , Preposition .

Ex: Raju is there before a computer Hyderabad is the main city in Telangana English can be learnt within a few days 7. Conjunctions: Conjunction is a word which joins together sentences showing a relationship between them.

Interjections: Interjection is a word or an expression that expresses a sudden or strong feeling.Sudden feeling , emotions Interjection .
