Site Requirements Contractors must be registered in the DuPont Aravo System. All required information must be completed and approved by the site before work is to begin. If contractors are not registered in the Aravo System a site variance may be issued. If a variance is to be issued contractor must submit their OSHA logs, proof of insurance and any qualification documents 14 days before their arrival to the site for approval.

Sub-contractors must be approved before they will be allowed on site. A list of sub-contractors should be submitted 14 days before work is to begin. It is preferred that sub-contractors are registered in the Aravo System. If sub-contractors are not registered a site variance may be issued. If a variance is to be issued sub-contractor must submit their OSHA logs, proof of insurance and any qualification documents must be submitted 14 days before their arrival to the site for approval. Sub-contractors are bound by the same requirements as the contractor and must agree to all of the following. Contractors are responsible for ensuring their sub-contractors meet these requirements. 2. SAFETY The special safety requirements listed herein shall not relieve Contractor from complying with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) or any other contractual agreement, and are only noted to highlight potential problem areas. 2.1 Safety Requirements Contractor's work shall be performed in accordance with the instructions set forth in the DuPont "Safety Handbook" - G770, 10/01. DuPont will furnish safety Books to Contractor for distribution to its employees. 2.2 Safety Program Before starting work, Contractor shall submit, for DuPont's review and acceptance, a written safety program that all Contractor's employees must follow while on the job site. Minimum acceptable program shall meet OSHA requirements. 2.3 Safety Orientation In order to gain entry to the Bayport site, each Contractor employee and visitor (except clerical office workers, delivery personnel, sales representatives, vending machine, or lunch delivery personnel must have completed, and furnish proof of such completion, the Houston Area Contractor's Safety Council Safety Orientation and Hazard Communication

Training Course. (i.e. Basic Plus) or similar approved reciprocity course as part of the Association of Reciprocal Safety Councils Inc. (ARSC) For more information onARSC and a list of member councils and transferable courses visit their website at http://www.arsc.net/

Before beginning work on the site, each Contractor employee shall view a safety orientation video conducted by DuPont. The cost of attending the orientation shall be included in Contractor's lump sum proposal. Orientation attendance shall be documented. Each Contractor will be issued an orientation card, which will be used to enter the plant. The card will be valid for six months. In addition to the above orientation, Contractor shall attend a safety orientation, covering the Safety Handbook and site rules given by Contract Administration or their job representative These Site Conditions, and other safety procedures covered at the preconstruction meeting (Special Conditions Item C.7), for each Contractor employee before he/she begins work on the site. Each employee and his/her supervisor shall sign and date the tear-out sheet (first page) of the handbook, and Orientation Log Sheet attesting to having been given the orientation.

2.4 Safety Training Contractor's job supervisor shall ensure that safety training is carried out before personnel start work and continues throughout all phases of the work. Contractor shall inform each employee of his/her responsibility to work safely and prevent occupational injury. Contractor shall hold a 10-15 minute safety meeting for its personnel at the beginning of the shift each day utilizing the JSA form. Meeting attendance shall be documented and furnished to DuPont. 2.5 Safety Audit Contractor's job supervisor shall participate with DuPont Safety Representative in a weekly field safety audit of all Contractor's work areas. Audit results shall be reviewed with all Contractor employees and documented per our Safety How Procedure. 2.6 Safety Meeting Contractors supervisors shall attend a meeting with DuPont representative each week to discuss area safety. 2.7 Personal Protective Equipment Contractor's personnel shall wear hard hats, industrial quality steel-toed shoes, and safety glasses with attached rigid side shields while within the plant, except in offices and rest rooms. Safety glasses, including all components (frames, lenses, and side shields) shall conform to ANSI Standard Z87.1. Slip-on, flimsy plastic side shields are not permitted. Impact and chemical resistant monogoggles, conforming to ANSI Standard Z87.1, worn over prescription glasses or impact resistant visitor spectacles, conforming to ANSI Standard Z87.1, will be permitted only on an interim basis until personnel are furnished safety glasses as specified above. Mono-goggles or

visitor spectacles shall not be used as an ongoing substitute for safety glasses. Proper PPE is required for welding and pressure washing / hydro blasting as per site procedures. Leather gloves are required for tasks that are likely to cause hand injuries. Tasks involving razor knives or sharp objects will require cut resistant gloves (i.e. Kevlar) Mono-goggles are required for tasks likely to cause eye injury by chemical splash. These items shall be furnished at no cost to DuPont. 2.8 Respiratory Equipment 1.8.1 Before any employee starts work requiring use of respiratory protective equipment, Contractor shall furnish DuPont proof of compliance with OSHA Section 1926.103, including the following documentation: Physician's approval for the employee to use respiratory protective equipment. Training records indicating each type of respirator the employee is trained to use. Fit test records for each type of respirator the employee is qualified to use. 2.8.2 Contractor shall furnish emergency rescue respirators required for work inside a vessel or confined space. Respirators shall be self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) or, if the vessel opening is too small for easy entry and exit, a full-face air line respirator with escape cylinder. Refer to 1.8.1 for required documentation.

2.9 Barricades Contractor shall furnish, erect, maintain, and dismantle all barricades required for its work. Barricades are required: Around all work areas as per DuPont Engineering Standard PH84: Around crane swing area. Barricades may be tape and stand variety. Post overhead work signs. To define outer limits of high noise areas. Post appropriate signs. To define areas of overhead work. Post overhead work signs. Around excavations. Post appropriate signs. For road closures. Barricades may be sawhorse type. Post appropriate signs. Provide flashing yellow lights if barricades are left overnight. Obtain DuPont approval before closing off any road. Warning (tape and stand) barricades - Tape shall be standard 2 yellow or red Polypropylene. Tape shall be supported only by stands or posts acceptable to DuPont; do not tie to pipes, valves, material drums, etc. Stands or posts shall be spaced no more than 25 feet apart. Stands or posts subjected to wind shall be weighted or otherwise secured so they remain erect. Protective (rigid) barricades - Shall consist of guardrail and mid-rail meeting OSHA definition of "standard railing" [OSHA Section 1926.500(f)], capable of supporting a 200-pound force in any direction with minimal deflection. Protective

barricades are required: Around excavations Around floor openings. At floor and roof edges. At elevated wall openings. All barricades shall be equipped with an entrance/exit "gate". Barricades shall be promptly removed when no longer required. 2.10 Construction Equipment 2.10.1 DuPont representative will conduct safety inspection of equipment before equipment can be placed in service. 2.10.12 All mobile cranes shall comply with DuPont Engineering Standard PH84 (Mobile crane inspection, maintenance, operation and operator qualifications). All hand-powered hoists shall comply with DuPont Engineering Standards PV2, PV30, V1G, PV31, V2R, SV1G. 2.10.2 Cranes, forklifts, trucks, and similar construction equipment shall not be left unattended unless shutdown and secured to prevent unintentional movement. 2.10.3 Truck-mounted, hydraulic, telescoping boom cranes shall not be moved until the boom is fully retracted and lowered into the boom cradle, if provided, and the hook is secured in a tie-down lug at some point on the truck bed. 2.10.4 Modifications shall not be made to lifting equipment without the manufacturer's written permission. Each custom designed, job made lifting accessory (e.g., grabs, hooks, clamps, etc.) shall be marked to indicate the safe working load and shall be tested, prior to use, to 125 percent of their rated load. [Reference OSHA Section 1926.251 (a) (4)] 2.10.5 All earth moving and hauling equipment, and any vehicle or construction equipment having the view to the rear obstructed shall be equipped with audible backup alarms or a temporary backup person. 2.10.6 Contractor shall submit details of its proposed work platform and rigging method for DuPont approval before conducting any work from a platform suspended from a crane. Included in the details must be clear justification for using a crane-suspended work platform rather than another method (e.g., scaffolds, aerial lifts, etc.). Contractor shall comply with all provisions of OSHA Section 1926.550(g). 2.10.7 In addition to the manufacturer's operating instructions, Contractor shall comply with the following requirements for aerial work platforms, man lifts, or bucket trucks: Operator shall be trained at Contractor's expense. Occupancy by more than two people shall not be permitted. Personnel shall use full body harness with the lanyard secured to the platform.

Personnel shall perform their work while standing on the platform floor. Standing on the top rail, mid-rail, or toe board shall not be permitted. Before equipment travel, the boom must be fully retracted and lowered to the horizontal position. Rigging from the platform or boom shall not be permitted. Climbing out of the platform to an elevated work location shall not be permitted. 2.10.8 No one shall be permitted to operate a lifting device (material or personnel) until they have provided training documentation and demonstrated, to DuPont's satisfaction that each potential operator of a lifting device proposed for use on the site can properly operate the device. Demonstration must be scheduled in advance. The manufacturer's operating instructions shall accompany the device.

2.10.9 Cranes shall be restricted to 80% of the capacity shown on the manufacturer's capacity chart when operating in the stability or tipping portion of the chart. When operating in the structural integrity area of the chart, the capacity shown on the chart is acceptable. 2.10.10 No later than 7 calendar days before the lift is scheduled to be made, Contractor shall submit, for DuPont review and acceptance, a rigging plan for each critical lift. A general rigging/handling/equipment plan shall be submitted by the successful bidder before start of work. A lift is considered critical when any of the following conditions exist: The load exceeds 75% of the crane capacity as the crane is configured to perform the lift. Lifts involving more than one crane to handle a common load. The crane or lifting device is used in an application that deviates from the Manufacturers recommendations including, but not limited to: - Boom configuration is not per boom make-up chart - Moving a crane with longer boom than recommended - Exceeding capacities or restrictions shown on the load chart The rigging plan shall include: Manufacturer, model, and capacity of the crane(s) Capacity charts (see 1.10.9) Working radius Boom length Weight of load including rigging How the weight was determined Number of parts of line to be used Size and capacity of rigging hardware (slings, shackles, etc.) 2.10.11 If requested by DuPont, Contractor shall submit a rigging plan (as

outlined in 2.10.10) no later than 7 calendar days before each noncritical lift is scheduled to be made 2.11 Access Access to exit doors, stairways, electric panels, and fire extinguishers or other emergency equipment must not be blocked at any time. Temporary construction lines, hoses, and cords for water, air, steam, electrical power, welding leads, etc., shall be run overhead with a minimum clearance of 7 feet over passageways and 15 feet over roadways. 2.12 Spray Painting Spray paint will only be allowed with exception. During spray painting operations where a hazardous warning is posted on the paint can label and controls are inadequate to prevent harmful exposure to employees, Contractor shall provide, at no additional cost to DuPont and require its employees to use, respirators approved for spray painting operations, and shall comply with OSHA Sections 1926.103 and 1910.134. Brush-on paint will be required for galvanized pipe or equipment (i.e. galvacon paint). Sandblasting methods and material will be at DuPont's approval. 2.13 Scaffolds Dupont will provide any scaffolding needs by contractors with one of our approved Contractors. Contractor shall provide a certified scaffold builder, and shall furnish, erect, maintain, and dismantle all scaffolds required for its work. All personnel erecting scaffold must go through training, provided by manufacturer or rental firm and certification of same must be provided to DuPont. Scaffolds shall comply with the requirements of the Safety Handbook and OSHA. If scaffolding will exceed 30 feet in height, Contractor shall submit details of the proposed scaffold installation, for DuPont review and acceptance, no later than 7 calendar days before beginning scaffold erection. A general scaffold plan shall be submitted by contractor before start of work. Contractor shall attach a scaffold tag (204-T) to each erected scaffold before use. The tags will be furnished by DuPont and filled out by Contractor. Scaffold must be inspected daily before use by competent person. 2.14 Fall Prevention 2.14.1 Protection is required to prevent personnel or material from falling through floor openings, wall openings, or from roof edges, stairways, etc. Safety Harness is required for all elevated work. 2.14.2 Before starting any elevated work, Contractor shall submit a fall prevention plan if required for DuPont review and acceptance including the training program. 2.15 Ground Fault Protection Contractor shall provide ground fault circuit interrupter protection for all cord sets, receptacles, and electrical tools and equipment connected by cord and plug

which are used or available for use by employees. 2.16 Gas Cylinders Compressed gas cylinders shall be properly secured on two-wheel hand trucks designed for this use and brought into buildings only as needed and removed as soon as work is completed or tanks are emptied. At the end of each shift, all cylinders shall be broken down with regulators removed and protective caps screwed down hand-tight.

2.17 Tool Inspection All Contractor-furnished portable tools and equipment (including personal protective equipment) shall be maintained in safe working order and are subject to DuPont inspection at any time while on the plant site. DuPont retains the right to prohibit, or restrict, the use of tools and equipment determined to be in unsafe working condition. 2.18 Projecting Materials Reinforcing steel or similar material projecting above horizontal surfaces shall be capped or otherwise protected to prevent the possibility of impaling personnel. 2.19 Personnel in Pipe Bridges Contractor shall provide means of access and egress adjacent to the work area for personnel working in pipe bridges. Walking on, crawling along, sitting on, or working from pipe or cable trays shall not be permitted without prior approval of DuPont. 2.20 Danger - Do Not Operate Tag and Lock, Tag, Try & Test Procedure Contractor shall follow the site's Danger Tag and Lock, Tag, Try & Test procedure before starting work on existing process or electrical systems and new systems which have been placed in commission. DuPont will furnish the tags; Contractor shall furnish locks for its employees. All first line breaks will be performed by qualified DuPont site personnel and isolated as per E3C before contactors are allowed to start work on affected equipment and systems. 2.21 Connections to Power Sources Electrical conductors shall not be connected to a power source until all field installation work associated with the equipment, device, or apparatus has been complete. No electrical equipment, device, or apparatus shall be energized without the prior approval of the DuPont representative. 2.22 Work On or Near Energized Electrical Services Work within fifteen feet of electric lines or cable tray with a crane or Mobil lift requires Site Safety Manager approval. Working on energized electrical equipment is not allowed without Plant Managers approval. A knowledgeable DuPont site employee shall be the first to de-energize and lock out electrical equipment and be the first to re-energize electrical equipment. 2.23 Temporary Lighting If Contractor elects to use temporary light, stringers to meet OSHA lighting requirements, they shall: be furnished by Contractor

cords to be erected by Contractor (7 feet above floor level) be factory assembled have the base molded to the stringer have the stringer wires molded together or in a common sheath 2.24 Safety Violations Employees who violate safety requirements will be removed from the job site. Verbal warning is considered given at Safety Orientation. In the event of OSHA violations or unsafe practices involving imminent danger to DuPont or Contractor personnel, immediate action shall be taken to stop work and correct the hazardous situation. If violations continue or corrective actions are not taken after a reasonable period of time, the DuPont option of terminating the contract in accordance with Article 18 of the General Conditions will be considered. 2.25 Reporting Injuries 100% Incident and Injury Reporting is required immediately after occurrence. Each injury or incident shall be jointly investigated by Contractor's site supervisor and DuPont representative. Contractor shall submit a detailed report to DuPont within 24 hours of the injury or incident. The Contractor is responsible for furnishing any first aid or medical assistance in case of injury. First aid treatment MAY be available from a trained DuPont employee at the Plant First Aid facilities. An incident is any unplanned occurrence which results in, or could result in an injury, occupational health risk, environmental damage, substantial property loss or loss of business.

2.26 Hazard Communication Contractor and all tier subcontractors shall comply with OSHA Hazard Communication Standard 1910.1200 and all applicable state and local hazard communication requirements, which includes: Developing and implementing a written hazard communication program for the site. Provide a copy to DuPont. Training its employees in regards to hazardous working conditions and in handling all hazardous materials. Maintaining a list of all hazardous materials present in the workplace and posting it in a place accessible to all employees. Material Safety Data Sheets must be on file for each such material. Providing DuPont the quantity of each hazardous material brought on site. Providing copies of the list of hazardous materials and the Material Safety Data Sheets to state and local officials as required. Contractor shall obtain DuPont approval before introducing any hazardous materials onto DuPont property. Such materials shall be properly labeled and strictly controlled. Storage and use must comply with the Material Safety Data Sheets. DuPont will notify Contractor of hazards due to DuPont operations 2.27 LITERACY POLICY All Contractors and Sub-Contractors entering the Bayport site must be able to UNDERSTAND, READ, and COMMUNICATE in English in order to understand

and follow DuPont written and oral rules/procedures/directions applicable to the work, and/or to respond to hazard warnings and emergency instructions/signals. 3. FIRE PROTECTION 3.1 Procedures Contractor shall observe the DuPont emergency and personnel accounting procedures. Contractor's job supervisor will be oriented by DuPont on the alarm and evacuation procedures, and shall ensure that all Contractor's employees are thoroughly familiar with those procedures. Contractor will be reimbursed on a time-and-material basis for lost time resulting from evacuations due to fume release, or fire or disaster drills. 3.2 Smoking Smoking is allowed ONLY in designated areas. Using smokeless tobacco is not permitted in common areas of the administration building, conference rooms, or plant lunchrooms. Smokeless tobacco is allowed in offices only when the owner agrees. Those using smokeless tobacco will clean up after themselves and empty containers when complete. Common containers (trashcans, waste hampers, etc.) will not be used as spittoons, and individual containers will not be left unattended in common areas. Spitting on the ground is prohibited everywhere. Smoking by a contractor employee in non-designated areas shall be considered cause to require Contractor to remove that employee from the plant site. 3.3 Flammable Materials Storage and use of flammable materials will be subject to DuPont approval. OSHA approved safety cabinets and cans shall be used for storing and dispensing flammable liquids and must have prior DuPont approval. Gasoline powered tools or equipment are not permitted inside buildings. 3.4 Fire Extinguishers Contractor shall furnish a sufficient number of fire extinguishers to protect its work area. All extinguishers shall be inspected monthly. 3.5 Oily Rag Storage Dirty and oily rags shall be kept in fireproof metal containers with self-closing lids and removed from premises daily. 3.6 Protective Structures Any plastic, tarpaulin, or other material used to construct a hut, tent, or similar protective structure, shall be flame retardant. 3.7 Burning and Welding Equipment All oxy-fuel burning and welding units shall be equipped with combination check valve-flashback arrestors installed between the regulator and the hoses, and between the hoses and the torch. Each check valve-flashback arrestor shall be maintenance checked, as directed by the manufacturer, at least once every six months, and following significant backfires or incidents of burn back. At least once every six months, Contractor shall remove, inspect and test each combination flashback arrestor and check valve. Testing shall be by reverse flow to confirm that the check valve seals properly. Contractor shall replace combination flashback arrestor and check valve found to be defective. All users of oxy-fuel burning and welding equipment shall be trained in safe

operating techniques. 3.8 Burning and Welding Protection Contractor shall ensure containment for all sparks and slag. All exposed combustible materials in the proximity of the burning and welding areas shall be protected by spark catcher, or fire-retardant material.

4. CONSTRUCTION FACILITIES 4.1 Identification Contractor shall post a sign, of a size and character consistent with the size, nature and duration of the contract, identifying its site headquarters, which may be an office, trailer, toolbox, or storage area. 4.2 Parking Contractor's employees shall park in the designated Contractor parking area. 4.3 Site Access Work schedule shall be coordinated with DuPont representative. Entry and exit at all times shall be through the main plant gate. Designated routes will be established for access to the work area and for movement of material and equipment. Movement of material and equipment shall be scheduled with DuPont. All contractor employees entering the site will be issued a contractor's badge. The badge is returned to security at the end of each day upon signing out. Contractor Supervisor is responsible to return badges to the security office. 4.4 Contractor Vehicles Except for material delivery, only one Contractor-owned vehicle shall be permitted on the plant site without plant approval. Plant speed limit of 12 mph shall be observed. Vehicle must have proper, permanently installed safety equipment for all occupants. No one is allowed to ride in the back of a truck. Cell phone use is not allowed while driving on site. 4.5 Telephone Cell phone policy - The use of cellular telephones on the Bayport site is

allowed to conduct business as necessary. Personal call are allowed only in the administration building, the manufacturing building lunchroom and outside non-operating areas. Contractors and delivery personnel will not be allowed to use a cellular phone except in these areas or outside the front gate.
4.6 Drinking Water and Sanitary Facilities Water coolers are available throughout the facility. Restrooms are available for use. Contractor may provide drinking water and sanitary facilities to satisfy its employees' needs in compliance with OSHA requirements. 4.7 Utility Water DuPont will furnish water for construction and testing purposes at one of Sites Utility Stations. Contractor shall make all connections and run any hoses and pipe extensions required. Hose fittings shall not be altered or changed.

Fire hydrants shall not be used as a source of water without DuPont prior approval. 4.8 Electric Power DuPont will furnish and hook up 110/220 volt, 30-amp electrical power for office trailers. Contractor may furnish its own power source for welding machines, small tools, temporary lighting, etc. DuPont will allow use of site 110 volt electrical power.

4.9 Compressed Air Compressed air is not available. Contractor shall provide its own source of compressed air. 4.10 Plant Facilities Contractor's personnel will be permitted to use plant facilities such as lunchrooms, vending machines, toilets. Contractors are not allowed in change room. 4.11 Contractor Facilities DuPont will furnish wash station and vending machines. Contractor shall provide facilities for its employees, I. e., gang boxes, etc. 5. HOUSEKEEPING 5.1 Clean Up During the course of construction, alteration, or repairs, all debris shall be kept cleared from work areas, passageways, and stairs in and around buildings or other structures. Contractor shall promptly clean up and place all scrap materials and waste materials that accumulate from its operations in containers (such as 55 gallon drums) which shall be emptied daily by Contractor. Trash containers may be provided by DuPont. Should Contractor fail to keep its work areas orderly, DuPont will perform this work on a time-and-material basis and back-charge Contractor 5.2 Waste Material Control Contractor shall be responsible for removal of waste material and control such as: Waste equipment oil shall be disposed of off-site. Contractor shall ensure that its operations comply with the oil spill prevention provisions of 40 C.F.R. 112. Further, dumping, pouring, spilling or disposing of oil or any other foreign substance onto the ground or into plant sumps, trenches or ditches is strictly prohibited. In the event of an oil spill, Contractor shall immediately notify DuPont and commence clean-up operations. Liquids (such as lubricants, cleaning solvents, and chemicals) shall be contained for disposal by Contractor. Contractor shall provide an adequate number of containers for the collection and separation of waste, trash, and other refuse. Containers shall be placed as necessary to service each work, office, and storage area. Containers used for garbage, acids, harmful dust, etc., shall be equipped with covers. Contractor shall empty the non-hazardous containers into

Contractor supplied dumpsters at frequent and regular intervals, or as directed by DuPont. Contractor shall empty said dumpsters at frequent and regular intervals. Contractor is responsible for dumpsters and trash removal. 5.3 Road Maintenance Contractor shall maintain roads and other plant operating areas affected by its operations in a clean and uncluttered condition at all times. Any dirt, mud, concrete, debris, spoil, refuse, etc., shall be cleaned up and removed immediately. 6. WORKING CONDITIONS 6.1 Testing for Substance Abuse 6.1.1 Contractor shall not assign (or reassign) any employee or agent (including employees or agents of its tier subcontractors) to DuPont operations unless such employee has taken a drug screen and the screen results are at or below the following cut off levels for the listed substances. Contractor shall submit to DuPont their Substance Abuse Control Procedure including pre-assignment, random, and for cause testing. Contractor shall be responsible for, and monitor, pre-assignment drug testing of its employees, its subcontractors' employees, and all agents of theirs involved in accomplishing all work included in the contract. Contractor and its subcontractors shall maintain copies of all laboratory test results throughout the life of the contract. Should a contract continue for a period longer than one year, employees must submit to annual drug testing.

6.1.3

6.2 Manpower Accountability Prior to 8:00 am each day, Contractor shall advise DuPont of its total manpower on the site. Contractor shall provide supervisory coverage at all times for contractor or there subcontractor personnel are on site. 6.3 Visitor Control All visitors shall receive visitor orientation, be escorted by Contractor's site supervision or DuPont representative and sign in at the security desk before entering the work area. 6.4 Coordination with Others Where Contractor's work must be performed in conjunction with work by others, Contractor shall cooperate with DuPont in scheduling, coordinating, and

sequencing its work with that of others so all work may proceed with minimal interference or delay. 6.5 Co-Occupancy Contractor shall provide all measures required to protect existing facilities and work performed by others from damage due to Contractor's (including its tier subcontractors) operations or negligence. DuPont may suspend Contractor's operation until such protective measures are provided, and the cost for stand-by of Contractor's, its tier subcontractors', or other Contractors' personnel and equipment shall be for Contractor's account. 6.6 Permits 6.6.1 Work and flame permits are required for all jobs on a daily basis. Contractor/DuPont job representative shall fill out the necessary permit forms, and submit them for DuPont operations approval. Close proximity permits will be required daily for use of construction equipment over, or within 15 feet of, any overhead electric power line, cable tray, process pipe, or service pipe. Contractor shall fill out the necessary permit forms covering the following days work and submit them daily for DuPont approval. Refer to DuPont Engineering Standard E5Z for work around electric lines and cables. Grounding (3.4a) or raising or rerouting (3.4b) electric lines, if required, will be performed by others. 6.6.3 Vessel or confined space entry permits will be required daily for any work inside a vessel or confined space (i.e., any area which must be entered through a restricted opening, such as tanks, vessels, ductwork, vessel skirts, manholes, etc.). Contractors shall comply with the requirements of OSHA 29CFR1910.146 and 29CFR1926 for permit required confined space. Contractor shall fill out the necessary permit forms and submit them sufficiently in advance to allow all required approvals to be obtained before work in the vessel or confined space is scheduled to start. Contractor shall furnish all protective and emergency equipment, and atmospheric testing equipment. Continuous monitoring equipment shall have audible alarms. Contractor shall utilize and provide personnel who have been trained to operate the equipment and are trained in confined space knowledge and duties including entry permit, authorized entrants, entry supervisor, and rescue and emergency services. 6.6.4 An excavation permit will be required for each area to be excavated. DuPont will provide Contractor with a copy of the permit before Contractor commences excavation work in the area covered by the permit. Contractor shall comply with all restrictions stated in the permit.

6.7 Material Shipment and Storage 6.7.1 Truck shipments to plant will be acceptable. Normal delivery times are 7:00 am To 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. Contractor shall coordinate shipments with DuPont to avoid interfering with plant operations. Contractor shall unload and handle its material.

DuPont will make limited storage space available to Contractor. A site inspection will be required. 6.7.2 Material being furnished by DuPont will be made available to Contractor at the site warehouse. A site inspection by Contractor will be required. Contractor is responsible for moving all material from warehouse or material storage to the work area. 6.7.3 All buildings and trailers shall: be blocked up in their final position and tied down with hurricane straps; have fire extinguisher rated 10 A:B:C or higher; be heated by electrical power, not be used for bulk storage of flammable or toxic materials. Main office building or trailer shall have a weatherproofed notice, prominently posted, indicating the person's name and telephone number to contact in case of emergency at any time. 6.7.4 No one shall enter a trailer that has been disconnected from the truck until additional blocking has been placed to support the pin end of the trailer in case the "fifth wheel" fails. Buildings and trailers shall be provided with steps with handrails and a landing at the top of the steps to provide safe access thereto. steps shall have non-skid protection. Contractor is responsible for securing its material, equipment, and work areas in case of severe weather conditions.

6.8 Prohibited Items In addition to those items noted in the Safety Handbook, hand warmers, glass, strike-anywhere matches, cameras, and tape recorders are strictly prohibited in side of the plant property. Asbestos and PCB-bearing materials are also prohibited. DuPont is authorized to inspect all items, vehicles, and personnel on DuPont property, including the parking lot for contraband materials. Possession of contraband materials will require disciplinary action up to and including Contractor dismissal of employee. Contractor shall have supervisory coverage at all times, i. e., overtime, holidays, etc. Overtime will be requested by Contractor and approved by DuPont before overtime work begins. 6.9 Tool and Equipment Control DuPont will not be responsible for the loss or theft, either on the plant or in the parking lot, of Contractor's tools or equipment, or contractor employees' personal belongings.
