AIESEC is the largest youth driven organization in the world, present in over 1100 universities and in over 113 countries and territories all over the world, being the international platform that gives the youth the opportunity to discover and develop their potential, in order to have a positive impact in society. In collaboration with the business area and higher education institutions, AIESEC has over 60 years of experience in developing young people with a global leadership vision. The innovative development process for AIESEC members consists of leadership positions and the international internships opportunities.

AIESEC Romania
Present in 15 cities in Romania with over members every year, AIESEC Romania is the part of the world's largest student-run organization. AIESEC offers young people the opportunity to be global citizens, to change the world, to get experiences and skills that matter today.

AIESEC in Timisoara has been involved in the personal and professional development of young people for over 19 years, and it has done so by initiating and implementing projects, the exchanges realized and the integrated learning experiences of the members, which are a valuable asset.

Programs
The Team Member Program offers team management opportunities, personal and professional development opportunities and the chance to engage with a group of people in successfully developing a project. The Team Leader Program provides a leadership and management experience in coordinating a team through a project or within the organization. The Global Internship Program provides international professional internships in over 110 countries, on areas such as Education, Management or Technical areas. The Global Community Development Program offers development internships abroad, in over 110 countries that will contribute to your personal development and cultural sensitivity.

Departments:
Finance

Manages the financial and logistical resources in AIESEC Timisoara. This area is responsible for rules and frameworks that define the usage of resource and for diversification of income sources. The main activities are accountancy, the administration of budgets, financial analysis, control and evaluation, and last but not least, applying for grants. Talent Development

This functional area is responsible for tracking the human resources and their education and development. Managing HR, the internal systems in terms of rules are created by this area. Main activities are coaching, training, mentoring in the organization, education cycles, accreditation systems and career planning. Corporate Development

This area creates and maintains the connections with the companies interested in supporting AIESEC projects. Creating sales strategies and developing external relations with partners are the main activities. Internationals who want to work at a major company in Timisoara with our internship opportunities are connected through this area.

Non-Corporate Development

Internationals who want to work as volunteers through internships in Timisoara come into contact with this functional area. Consequently, this area is responsible for obtaining internships for internationals. Additionally, it maintains the contact with the NGOs and institutions for which the internationals volunteer for. Reception activities are also being designed here. International Internships

This area is responsible for showing opportunities for those young people who want to go in a global internship. It helps them find the most acceptable and suitable internship and makes sure their experience will remain unforgettable. Afterwards, when they come back, it reassures their reintegration. Internal Programs Development

This area deals with the youth engaged for the Team Member and Team Leader Programs. The main activities are the recruitment, interviewing and selection processes. Not to forget the Rewards&Recognition system.

Alumni Development

Here is where members who are ready to take their next step have to choose either to enter the Heading for the Future stage or, if fulfilling the criteria, become automatically Alumni and apply what they have gathered in their AIESEC experience. This area is also responsible for keeping in touch with the Alumni community. Market Development

This area deals with the branding of AIESEC and its whole image and coordinates the projects of the Local Committee. Main activities are public relations, promo strategies, web design materials, event management and project management.

PROJECTS
AIESEC Academy (previous AIESEC University) This project is the most important one organized by AIESEC Timisoara. In 2012 it consisted of 3 schools specialized in 3 different subject fields: IT School, Engineering School and Entrepreneurship School. Within each school students and young people have the opportunity to attend trainings held by specialists, that regard the latest areas of interest, and afterwards to apply their knowledge and practice their skills in an internship at some of the most relevant companies on the market.

Cultural Mix This is a project that gives you the opportunity to learn more about another country; about its rich culture and its exotic language. Two trainers from Brazil, and two from China will come to Romania and talk about their home countries and try and teach their language to those who wish to be enchanted by the world, and discover how really big and diverse it is!

Summer/Winter vitamins Is a local project, created by AIESEC Timisoara. Since middle school students do not receive a nonformal education and cannot grow at all levels within the school environment, Vitamins Summer project comes as a solution to this challenge. The training taught by international themes such as health, multiculturalism, recycling and the idea of green life, project participants can receive in the form of non-formal educational information on topics of general interest and current issues. Grow Is the nationwide youth development program that represents a long term, non-formal educational engagement designed to improve the quality of education in Romania.Organized by School of Values in partnership with AIESEC, Grow project addresses high school students in Romania (age 14-18). The program offers high school students a professionally designed educational curriculum that complements the formal education system. It has been developed with the support of an Educational Board, gathering personalities and top-notch experts in education and adolescent psychology, especially to address key needs of the development of teenage participant.

Lets Go This is a project for elementary school students (pilot), made by AIESEC Timioara with the support of School State Inspectorate Timi. The purpose of the project is giving access to alternative education to elementary school students and improve the Romanian educational system. The project has a long-term plan for creating an entire educational cycle, from 1st to 8th grade. Christmas around the world This is a project in which we want to bring 10 trainees that will go at orphanages to teach the children English and play fun games with them. One of their responsibilities and the OC responsibility as well will be to create a large fund raising event, with nonconventional activities that will also ensure that the image of AIESEC Timisoara is promoted in a good way. The Spot Weekend This is an initiative that has been planned to ensure preparation for the other NGOs in Timioara, guaranteeing also a PBoX for the outgoing exchange, all this packed in a positioning project for AIESEC in Timioara.

Xchange Fair This is a project that has been thought for increasing the GIP and GCDP outgoing for AIESEC Timisoara. It offers the students the chance to find out more about the internships and volunteering opportunities abroad. By taking these opportunities abroad, students experience internationalism, improve their professional abilities and learn how to work in a culturally different environment. The ReBranders Is a local project, developed by AIESEC Timisoara in order to help rebuild the image of certain institutions or the image of the city with the help of international students. This project brings to Timisoara over 30 internationals every edition. The recruitment campaign This project is, as you already can tell, the process through which AIESEC Timisoara brings new members in the organization. Its a very important project because AIESEC is all about the people and developing them, and the best way to develop a student or young person is to get her involved in the whole AIESEC experience.

CONFERENCES LCC (Local Committee Conference)


This is the conference organized for electing the new EB (executive board), its usually for two days and if one or more of the positions are not being occupied its organized again. During this conference the candidates have a presentation in front of the local committee members and then a session of questions from them. If you want to see how the future people that run us are elected be there, you have a lot to learn and it happens just once a year.

ICPS (Intercultural Preparation Seminar)


This AIESEC conference takes place twice a year and it is especially meant to prepare the Romanian students who plan to take an exchange program abroad. It usually lasts for 2 days and its mandatory for exchange students to participate. On the last seminar there were 20 participants.The agenda for the seminar covered useful subjects for living and leaving abroad, before and after preparations such as: several games that make people aware of the different cultures, cultural shocks and how to prepare for them, sharing from people who have already taken this opportunity, Romanian reality and how to be an ambassador for your own country but also they found out how to write a CV and what to prepare for an interview.

LMS (Local Motivational Seminar) This conference was held this year at Muntele Mic, Caransebes and it lasted for 3 days. Since it took place while the Rebranders Project is happening, along with the AIESEC Timisoara members, 19 internationals participated too. What was it all about? It was meant to let the people know each other better and bond in order for them to work better together. We also had some games and a treasure hunt where everybody had a great time! Even after the games ended the fun went on! The sessions covered motivational speeches, goal setting and different free discussions on change. The mountains landscapes and the fresh air were exactly what everybody was missing and mainly what made the difference this time! AIESEC 19 (20, 21 etc.) AIESEC Timisoara celebrated 19 years old on 24th March 2012. The event took place at Hotel Strelitia in Timisoara and succeeded to bring together AIESEC members and Alumni of AIESEC Timisoara who still play an important part in our organization. There were almost 100 participants of whom 30 were AIESEC Alumni. The NGOs that joined us were AC League and LSFMT. We are now one year older and we believe we also grew wiser with the help of our Alumni who delivered sessions about their AIESEC Experience and how it helped them get where they are today. Among the Alumni of AIESEC Timisoara who also delivered sessions were Cristian Onetiu,

Claudiu Popovici, Catalin Barna, Sebastian Ciurdar and so on. We take pride in what they accomplished and we are thankful for the help they offered.

H4TF (Heading for The Future) Heading for the Future is a conference designed to help members capture their experience in AIESEC, understand the reality of the world that waits for them, discover their interests and opportunities for the journey ahead, and start to plan their next steps. Whats an Alumnus? The title of Alumni is given to a member that activated in the organization, having a complex experiential leadership development. The term proud Alumni of AIESEC Timisoara is well known among the organization, each member wanting to get there. AIESEC Alumni are the human result of AIESEC values; they are the ones that bring the changes within the society, the ones that have the positive impact, the ones that AIESEC is aiming for in the community. They are ex members that discovered the extraordinary AIESEC experience and went in the world carrying a bag full of knowledge and experiences.

Regional

RTS (Regional Training Seminar) The aim of the conference is usually to deliver to the new members relevant sessions on soft skills such as being a leader, becoming able to stand for what you say, becoming more creative, and managing crisis situations. Its held twice a year: in the spring and the fall. For the old members the session was meant to provide the environment for them to plan the future projects of their Local Committee and to improve on their soft skills. This has also been a great way to interact with new people and discover new things about yourself. The get-to-know-each other activities have always been a awesome way to have fun, and this time was not an exception. As this is the first conference a new member has to attend, expect nothing but the most intense, interactive and fun 3 days that will turn into one of your best memories!

National

RYLF (Romania Youth Leadership Program) Romania Youth Leadership Forum is the biggest and most important youth conference in Romania on the topic of leadership and is one of the biggest conferences from the international AIESEC network. This is one of the unique occasions when 500 AIESECers meet in the same place. Attending RYLF you'll be motivated, inspired and educated through proactivity and leadership values.

MCC (Members Committee Conference) Is one of the most important national conferences, which aims the election of new steering committee of AIESEC Romania 2011-2012. Delegates attending the conference are only AIESEC members from all 15 local committees of AIESEC Romania (Arad, Brasov, Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca,

Constanta, Craiova, Iasi, Galati, Oradea, Pitesti, Ploiesti, Sibiu, Suceava, Targu-Mures and Timisoara), people who had or have leadership positions in these committees. This year, the conference is organized by AIESEC Timisoara, between 27th-30th January MCC is the chance to meet the future leaders of AIESEC Romania, track their progress, hear their proposals, knowing their strategies. AIESEC provides the possibility to both national and international candidates to challenge themselves for positions such as Vice President and President, elected positions nationwide. The management team changes each year to allow as many members a leadership experience.

NC (National Congress) National Congress is one of the most important conferences organized by AIESEC, which takes place annually in different cities, depending on the Local Committee which earned the opportunity to organize it. This year it was organized by AIESEC Timisoara at Hotel Strelitia. The organizing team worked really hard to offer the participants the most relevant experiences, which they could implement in their 2012-2013 term in their local AIESEC committee. The sessions were about developing strategies in line with the global vision and to plan the internal objectives of the organizations activity plans.

RockMe (Romanian Core Workers Meeting) Is organized for members of AIESEC Romania who have leadership positions or for members who wish to apply for such a position in the near future. They will receive trainings on functional areas as follows: Exchange, Human Resources, Sales, Marketing and Communication, Finance, Project management.

SprinCo Is an annual conference of AIESEC Czech Republic. Over 300 members from 9 committees meet on one place to prepare for the next year. There are trainings held on functional areas, product development, planning, project management, organizational values.
