Cy putting a deadline of ) hours or less for a sales letter instinctively find creative ways to make it happen. Example: ON0' spend 12 minutes (T BO/T evaluating a niche. f 'm going to enter a new niche: and want to do research ON0' give myself 12 minutes to look at the niche. /o better damn well be able to find what need in 12 minutes. The brain can only consciously keep track of about 4 bits of information.... plus or minus , bits. /o if you some sort of brilliant super genius you can focus on 7 at most 7 ;ust E 9bits9 of information consciously. The rest is done unconsciously. @or e=ample: you don't often focus on the fact you blink your eyes all day long. That's 9beyond9 your consciousness 7 until ;ust pointed it now. Now you can't stop thinking about it... kind of annoying: huh< ?F -hat about the beating of your heart< Or the coolness of the air when your breath in< The warmness when you breath out< /ee: there are a million things you 9filter out9 simply because your brain can't consciously handle it all. (nd what's left is about 4 things it can handle all at once. -hat's this have to do with time management< Everything. 'ou need to learn to work in tasks. (nd each task must have about 3 9bits9 of information 7 so you can keep track of it (00 consciously. 1ere's what mean 7 say you need to write a sales letter. Okay: there's a lot of things that go into that. $sually it requires all of the following...

.. bullet points E. the opening copy 12.

the call to action

That's roughly what goes into each sales letter. /o that's only 12 bits there. 1owever: each of these 9bits9 is very general. n reality: you couldn't fit this one 9task9 of writing a sales letter in your conscious mind. /o we have to break it down into separate tasks. -hat if the first task was the general flow of the letter... kind of get an overview of how you'd manage your copy. t could go something like this? /tart with headline: open up and e=pand on headline: introduce offer: throw in the bullet points: e=plain what they invest: through in bonuses: mention guarantee: e=plain scarcity: then go to the call to action. Okay: that was simple. -e have the skeleton to our letter. Now: each of those steps become their own 9task9. /o the first task is writing the headline. only have 3 basic techniques for writing a headline: because follow the 94 plus or minus ,9 method. only want five methods so it's easy for me to keep track of. /o simply cycle through each of those five until find the one that works best for my headline. Then write it. Task 1 is completed. Task , is the opening copy. only have H(A( NF about five basic ways to open the copy. They all are fundamentally sound because 've swiped them from winning letters... so cycle through each of those five things and pick the one that fits right. Okay: task ) is to introduce and describe the offer. have four methods use to do that. /o again 7 we pick the best one that @EE0 is right in this circumstances 7 and then use it. (nd so forth which each task until the thing is finished. 1ere's why this works so well 7 NE&E" e=perience overwhelm because %(N'T.

Everything is manageable in my head because 'm only dealing with a 9few bits9 for each task. The result is feel good about what 'm doing 7 and when you feel good about something it's a heck of a lot easier to get it done.

Secret #3 ! $earn To Ma"e +ecisions ,uic"*1ere's words live by 7 it's easier to make a decision right than to make a right decision. n other words: you often don't know when making the decision if it's the correct one 7 so better ;ust to make (N' decision and see what happens 7 and then course correct if need be 7 than to think it over. call it the *2 second rule. t plays out like this. $nless the decision at hand will #"(/T %(00' effect my business and6or life for the NEIT 1, months: B$/T make the decision in *2 seconds or less. Example 7 what color and style font do use for my headlines< s this something should be spending a lot of time on< No 7 it will not drastically effect my business and6or life for the ne=t 1, months. /o pick the font that @EE0/ best. f it's not the right color and font: can always change it. Example 7 what niche should go into ne=t< s this something that will drastically effect my business and6or life for the ne=t 1, months< Not really and here's why 7 if the niche is not that good: 'll know right away. Then cut my losses and move to the ne=t one. f it's good: T1EN can make the ne=t decision on whether to stay or not. /o t's simple 7 use the *2 second rule tied together with !arkinson's law. pick new niches to try out quickly: and then have a deadline to evaluate whether or not 'll stay in that niche. The point is 7 most decisions are so minor: you ;ust need to learn to make them as quickly as possible so you can stay in 9action mode9. %lients pay me D,32 an hour for personal coaching with time management 7 and (00 of them are very happy with the results produce. -hich is funny because simply make them make decisions in less than *2 seconds 7 and often have them @0 !
