Generate online reports to monitor production activity, efficiency and quality.

Real-time Production Data

WebWare Server offers an efficient manufacturing support system designed to facilitate a wide range of production management tasks. This comprehensive software solution is 100% webbased to enable local and remote access to plant-wide production information using a standard Internet browser. WebWare is ready to meet your needs for realtime process monitoring, file management, and remote support.

Production Monitoring
Off-the-shelf and into your plant, WebWare satisfies the need for production feedback across multiple user disciplines. On the plant floor Track production output Monitor cycle time variations Identify bottlenecks Quantify lost production time Validate simulation models Accelerate fault recovery In Quality Assurance Capture individual data to document acceptance criteria Drive SPC charts Establish warranty correlations Track fluctuations in batch tolerances Inspect live quality data to minimize scrap In the Maintenance Shop Monitor preventive maintenance needs. Chart downtime incidents to focus improvment efforts on areas of greatest impact.

Efficient Production Management

WebWare is based on Microsofts .NET platform, employs a scalable software architecture, and supports password protection for secure access. WebWare incorporates InterLink, embedded software technology that manages communication with connected robot controllers, PLCs, and other plant-floor devices. WebWare provides a comprehensive solution that gives you the power to achieve unprecedented levels of integration and efficiency with respect to production monitoring.

to the device controller or download them directly to your PC for off-line program maintenance. WebWare includes built-in support for Microsoft Visual SourceSafe and NFS to provide additional capabilities for efficient file handling and secure version control.

Remote Support
WebWare continuously monitors connected equipment, collecting data and logging diagnostic information. By storing this information external to the equipment, it is readily available to local and remote users. Even if the production system is down, remote experts can analyze the situation.

Keep track of preventive maintenance needs.

File Management
In addition to generating production data, many plantfloor devices contain embedded data in the form of production software. The programs and configuration files that drive individual device controllers are often overlooked in the context of plant data. Yet, they represent the brainpower behind automated production, a mission critical resource that must be managed.

Scheduled Backups
Your plant network provides the communication infrastructure that WebWare uses for plant-wide file management. The ability to perform unattended, scheduled backups is practical for safeguarding critical part programs and tracking program changes. Once your production files are safely archived, you can restore them

Restore files from the backup archive, download files for off-line maintenance, or check differences between file versions.

I already have an HMI application. Why do I need WebWare? HMI applications have done much to improve visibility on the plant floor, but they are designed for operator interaction and control at the cell or machine level. They are not designed for plant level monitoring. Typically, data they collect are deposited on a local hard disk, and there it remains available only to those who interact with the cell control application on the plant floor. This scene is often duplicated many times throughout a plant, complicating the task of data consolidation/analysis. For lack of a better solution, many users have attempted to force fit HMI products with varying degrees of success. Yet, HMI products alone are not well suited to the task, and they require a great deal of customization to achieve a satisfactory result. This leaves the end user as the owner of a custom solution and a long-term support problem. WebWare provides a central point of control for plantwide data collection, reporting, documentation, and remote access in a standard product. The web paradigm is ideally suited to the task of plant-wide data and file management.
