The markets close flat today. Sensex close up 2.67 gains 0.01% and the Nifty close down 0.90 falls 0.01%, back from a nearly four-month low hit earlier on Tuesday, erasing losses of more than 1 percent, as some blue chips such as ITC Ltd recovered on value buying after the indexes had fallen in six out of seven previous sessions. Telecom operator Bharti Airtel, power producer NTPC and commercial vehicle maker Tata Motors gained 3 percent each. ITC gained 1.5% while Tata motors & SAIL gained 2% today.
