7. Conclusion
Sudh Mahadev, situated near Patnitop, is a 2,800 years old temple dedicated to the Hindu deity Lord Shiva. This temple is also known as the place where Baba Roop Nath took samadhi around thousands of years ago. The dhooni or eternal flame of Baba Roop Nath still continues to burn and can be seen at the temple even today. On the occasion of 'jeshta purnima', the full moon night of June, a large number of pilgrims visit the temple. This holy spot near Patnitop is situated at an altitude of 1225 mtrs, about 120 kms from Jammu, the city of ancient temples. The shrine is visited by pilgrims on the full moon night of "Saawan" (July-August) to worship the "Trishul" (trident) and a mace which is said to belong to Lord Shiva. The Devak stream originates at Sudh Mahadev and disappears among the rocks a few kilometres down stream. During the month of July and August, a fair is held here with 3 days of music, singing and dancing. This divine place is situated at a distance of 8 kms from Kud or Patnitop.

7. Recommendation Sudh Mahadev is a very beautiful place to visit. It lies in the lap of hilly mountains. . This temple is also known as the place where Baba Roop Nath took
samadhi around thousands of years ago. . The dhooni or eternal flame of Baba Roop Nath still continues to burn and can be seen at the temple even today. But still there is a need of improvement. 1. Government should show some interest in developing this

beautiful religious tourist destination.

2. There is no tourist guest house built in Sudh mahadev so

government should construct a guest house.

3. It is the responsibility of administration to d something for the poor

economic condition of the people living there. If the government will organize some more tourist mela in this place to improve the economic condition of this place.
4. Tha government should make this place popular among the tourist

visiting J&K state so that more and more tourists visit this

heavenly beautiful place and will pay their pilgrimage to lord Shiva and Parvati and Ganesh in Gauri Kund.
5. If the administration will organize some festivals celebration for

tourists like Shivratri , Ganeshchaturti etc. then the tourists will get introduced to this beautiful place and more and more of the people will visit Sudh Mahadev and Parvati in Chnani.

8. Recommendation
