JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Reports to: Administrative Coordinator Executive Director

Opportunity Close: February 28, 2014


Compensation: $16.50/hour (benefits not included) Schedule: 25 hours per week, M-F

Summary of Position: The Administrative Coordinator is responsible on a daily basis for ensuring the orderly operation of the EQNM office and administrative functions, as well as providing administrative support to the Executive Director and Program Staff, and assisting in website maintenance and basic bookkeeping. This is a part-time hourly position and is dependent on available funding. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Present a professional, welcoming first contact to all partners, supporters, volunteers, funders, vendors, board members, staff, media, etc. by phone, in person, and email. Responsible for development & implementation of efficient office systems. Responsible for keeping office equipment maintained. Responsible for organizational functions and general meeting support: including arranging, follow up calls, maintaining office space schedules and set up/appearance, securing food and supplies, producing copies. Responsible for incoming and outgoing mail, shipping and receiving. Responsible for maintenance of common spaces for appearance and functionality. Responsible for managing supplies and maintenance of storage areas. Provide support for team: assist in arranging for events, preparing necessary supplies and materials. Provide support in marketing/communications; maintain contact lists, assist with mailings and packets, and perform website maintenance. Provide bookkeeping support and assist EQNM accountant as needed and assigned. Provide support to Executive Director and Program Staff as needed and assigned.

Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred. Clerical, Administrative Assistant, or comparable experience in an office setting. Experience working in a non-profit setting, involving cultural competence and understanding. Comparable experience will be considered. Basic website maintenance experience (Wordpress, HTML formatting). Intermediate PC software knowledge and ability (Adobe, Microsoft, internet navigation at a minimum). Basic bookkeeping skills and experience using Quickbooks. Interest in LGBT social justice issues.

Desired Qualifications: Associates degree. Office and/or administrative management experience. Experience working in a social justice-oriented nonprofit and/or on LGBT social justice issues. Intermediate website maintenance experience. Intermediate bookkeeping skills and experience with Quickbooks.
