Important Notices to all Shuttle Bus Users


It is highly advisable that students plan their academic schedule to include ample travel time between campuses when necessary. A one-way shuttle trip takes approximately 1 hour to complete, however, subject to change based on travel conditions. Departure times marked by an asterisk (*) are expected to take approximately 60-80 minutes to complete. U of T Mississauga is not responsible for service disruptions or delays, including but not limited to weather and traffic, which may prolong the shuttle trip. It is the passengers responsibility to ensure they have scheduled sufficient commuting and campus travel time. Please plan your schedule accordingly.
Fares: The regular one-way ticket fare is $6.00 (HST included). Registered U of T Mississauga students are eligible to board the shuttle bus at no additional charge by way of their U of T student TCard. Non-U of T Mississauga students are eligible to board the shuttle bus by way of a purchased Bus Pass or one-way ticket. Tickets must be purchased in advance at locations noted below drivers do not sell tickets, collect cash, or provide change. A student whose home college is not U of T Mississauga (e.g. St. Mikes College) but are taking classes at U of T Mississauga are not eligible to use the shuttle bus at no charge. These students must present a purchased Bus Pass or one-way ticket to board the bus. For details on shuttle funding and financial support information, visit www.utm.utoronto.ca/shuttle. Tickets: At the St. George campus, purchase tickets at the Hart House porter's desk. At U of T Mississauga, purchase tickets at the Info Booth in the Student Centre. See shuttle website for ticket sale location hours of operation. Shuttle bus tickets are non-refundable. U of T Mississauga students are required to present their TCard at each time of boarding. TCards and bus passes are subject to verification upon each time of boarding cards may be confiscated if improper use is suspected. Shuttle Bus Pass: Shuttle users who are not registered U of T Mississauga Students are eligible to purchase a Shuttle Bus Term Pass. Bus Pass holders must present their bus pass card for verification at each time of boarding. If a Pass or ticket fare is not presented, access to board the shuttle will be denied. Passenger Courtesy: Eating is prohibited at all times while on the shuttle bus because of food allergies, garbage and choking hazards. Enforcement: Shuttle bus users will be asked to either discard their food prior to boarding, or store it out of sight in a sealed container. Only water bottles, travel mugs or other drinking containers with sealable or screw-top lids are permitted on the shuttle bus. Passengers are asked to take their containers and unwanted items with them when exiting the shuttle bus for disposal. The driver reserves the right to restrict "oversize" items being carried on the shuttle bus. Accommodations for passengers using wheelchairs: Most (although not all) shuttles are equipped with two spaces for mobility devices such as wheelchairs and scooters. To help ensure availability, please book in advance through the U of T Mississauga Transportation Office by submitting the AccessAbility registration form at www.utm.utoronto.ca/shuttle. Accessible service is available at U of T Mississauga's Instructional Centre, North Layby and St. George's Hart House shuttle stops. Alternatives: If the current schedule does not meet your needs, alternatives are available. Mississauga Transit buses link with the Toronto Transit Commission subway system at Islington Station. It is expected that shuttle users will arrange their own transportation for classes/ itineraries not covered by the current operating schedule.
The fine print: Shuttle departure times are approximate, usually within 5 minutes. Schedules and fares are subject to modification by U of T Mississauga as necessary. U of T Mississauga is not responsible for service disruptions or delays, including, but not limited to weather and traffic. All passengers must board the bus at the assigned campus locations; buses will not stop to pick up / drop off passengers at any other location. Boarding is not guaranteed at the times most convenient. Boarding is limited to the maximum capacity of each shuttle bus and fluctuates based on demand. Please arrive in advance of scheduled departure times.
