THE CAST: Adam, The Green s Keeper We have looked at the setting for this drama; we have studied the premises and n ow let s look at the cast of characters, starting with Adam and Eve. Why did the gods create humans? Was it because their own workload was too heavy and they needed help? Enuma Elis writes: I will create man who shall inhabit the earth, That the service of the gods may be established, and that their shrines may be built. From: Enma Eli , Tablet 1, lines 7-9 According to some scholars, Moses borrowed from the Atrahasis Epic, to write his own version of mankind s relationship to the gods. Part of that epic, says: When the gods, manlike, Bore the labor, carried the load, The gods load was great, The toil grievous, the toil excessive. Create a human to bear the yoke Let man carry the load of the gods. From: Atrahasis Epic Moses stated the same thought in and there was no man to till the God said, Let us make man in our he man and put him in the garden these more familiar words; ground; And the Lord God formed man. Gen. 2:6-7 image. When that was done, the Lord God took t of Eden to tend and keep it. Gen. 2:15-16. Part 2 Part 2

Adam ends up looking after the garden, doing the menial work, for The Ones who h ad created him. Actually, this action, on the part of the gods, is not at all o ut of line with what engineers are doing today. Genetic engineers are miles ahe ad of what most of us can imagine in changing life forms. We also have intellig ent, thinking machines all around us; robots that do much of our thinking and ou

r work for us. It is just that they are not in human form; yet. The parallels between the stories of Enkidu/Shamhat and Adam/Eve have been long recognized by scholars. In both, a man is created from the soil by a god, and li ves in a natural setting amongst the animals. He is introduced to a woman who te mpts him. In both stories the man accepts food from the woman, covers his nakedn ess, and must leave his former realm, unable to return. The presence of a snake that steals a plant of immortality from the hero later in the epic is another po int of contact. From Wikipedia, The Epic of Gilgamesh. However, help with the workload may not have been all that the gods were looking for. Jehovah, at least, enjoyed the fellowship He had with Adam in the Garden of Eden, in the cool of the day. Is it not interesting that the Lord enjoyed wa lking in the garden in the cool of the day? If He is not physical, how is it th at the ambient temperature affected Him? It is easy to imagine that Jehovah wanted this feeling of closeness to continue, but after Adam was guilty of disobeying distinct instructions, that closeness w as severely hampered. It is true that throughout the Bible Jehovah still commun icated with chosen individuals, but it seems that it was mostly to give laws or instructions and warnings. The close communion for the general public was forev er gone, but Enoch walked with God. There will be more about Enoch later. Pre Biblical Astronauts Thanks, again, to the Babylonian scribes, we have the following story from pre B ible times; the Epic of Etana. I will take you to the throne of Anu said the eagle. They had soared for an hou r and then the Eagle said: Look down, what has become of the earth! Etana looked d own and saw that the earth had become like a hill and the sea like a well After th e third hour the earth was only a speck of dust, and the sea no longer seen . Pritchard, (Princeton, New Jersey ) If this is strictly fiction, the question arises: What gave the writers of pre-B ible times the idea that the earth could be left behind at such a speed? Or, in fact, that the earth could be left behind at all? earthfromSaturn From the Egyptian Book of the Dead comes this quote, This place has no air, its depth is unfathomable and it is black as the blackest night. From where did they get the idea that there is no air in space? It seems a lot more realistic to as sume that ancient, as well as modern, cultures were visited by saucerians. It i s not beyond reason to suppose that the astronauts gave them specific informatio n and on occasion even took them out into space. More than 4,000 years ago, a Chinese man and his wife took up space travel. Aga in, a statement like that, based on an ancient story, could be discarded if it w ere not for a few notable facts presented. We find first that they explored spa ce by mounting a current of luminous air. Surely the current of luminous air is the exhaust of a fiery rocket? His wife, it seems, was content to travel to the moon, and she said, it was a luminous sphere, shining like glass, of enormous s ize and very cold; the light of the moon has its birth in the sun. If the Chinese did not go there, how did they know these facts 4000 years ago? moon-darkside

In the Collection of Old Tales from China, compiled in the fourth century, we fi nd this interesting statement. An enormous ship appeared on the sea at night with brilliant lights it could also sail to the moon and the stars, hence its name a ship hanging among the stars or th e boat to the moon this giant ship which could travel in the sky or sail the seas w as seen for over 12 years. Why did it quit coming to earth? Shi Ching says tha t when the Divine Emperor saw crime and vice rising in the world, he commanded C hong and Li to cut off communication between the earth and the sky and since the n there has been no more going up or down. From: We Are Not The First,Andrew Toma s, BantamBooks, New York Spaceship1 The Sanskrit from ancient India, recently translated into the language of modern day western readers, dates from about the third to the eighth century CE. Howe ver, the ideas presented in those writings are slightly ahead of our times. It is in the Mahabharata that we hear about Bhima who flew with his vimana (flyin g machine) on an enormous ray which was as brilliant as the sun and made a noise like the thunder of a storm . And in the same great ancient Indian epic we also h ear about the great warrior Arjuna s ascent to Indra s heaven. Importantly, Arjuna i s, we are told, a mortal. However, during the telling of his particular adventur e we are told of his ascent to heaven in a car that travels upwards to the cloud s with a noise like thunder. Whilst travelling to heaven Arjuna apparently also sees flying cars that have crashed and are out of action and other flying cars t hat are stationary, whilst others fly freely in the air. These were space vehicles similar to the so-called flying saucers reported throug hout the world today. In the ancient Vymanka-Shastra (science of aeronautics), there is a description of a Vimana: An apparatus which can go by its own force, from one place to place or globe to globe. From: Wikipedia: Mahabharate South America is rich in folklore about gods from the skies. The following is a story of Bep Kororoti who mysteriously appeared to the villagers one day. It t ook some time for the townsfolk to accept him as one of them, for he had with hi m a weapon which he pointed at a tree and then a stone, and destroyed them both. Finally, though, they did accept him and he married one of the local women and settled down. Things went along quite well until the hero got restless and dec ided to leave the village. Having gone up to the mountaintop, the story continu es, suddenly there was a tremendous crash that shook the whole region and Bep Ko roroti vanished into the air, surrounded by fiery clouds, smoke and thunder. Von Daniken. In Search of Ancient Gods. (Heron and Souvenir Press, New York). This reminds us, again, of the words of Exodus 19:16+18. When God descended on Mount Sinai, there were thunderings and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain a nd the whole mountain quaked greatly. The next post will deal more with space travel and how it relates to Enoch! THE CAST: Enoch, the Astronaut Enoch walked with The phrase, Enoch . They heard the day. It seems that The nd communing with ople and the Lord God; and he was not, for God took him. Gen. 5:24. walked with God brings to mind the statement found in Gen. 3:8 sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the Lord, Jehovah, was fond of walking on earth, his laboratory, a humans who, in fact, respected him. Enoch was one of those pe enjoyed walking with him.

Then, one day Enoch was no longer to be found on earth for the Lord took him awa y. We read of him again in the New Testament and find that he was translated th

at he should not see death. James Strong tells us that the definition for the w ord, translation, is transportation, i.e. transferal (to Heaven). To update this phrase we might write it like this, Enoch was taken away in a UFO and he could no longer be found on earth because G od had taken him away. Hebrews 11:5 To say that Enoch went to heaven in a UFO is speculation but reading from the Bo ok of Enoch in the Quamran text of the Dead Sea Scrolls causes one to speculate. Eve looked up to heaven and saw a chariot of light travelling there; the chariot drove up to Adam, and smoke came out from between the wheels. The Book of Enoch is alleged to have been written by the man that walked with Go d, but it has not been included in our Bible. Is it missing because the early ch urch fathers were afraid of facing the things that Enoch wrote about? Incidenta lly, that book was included in the early Abyssinian Church Bible. From the Book of Enoch also comes this futuristic idea: Having gone on board a s pacecraft, he says, I saw the places of the sun and the moon, from which they se t out and to which they return. By using the word they, is Enoch saying that he visited the home planet of the Saucerians? He cannot have been referring to th e sun and the moon for they have no place from which they set out or to which th ey return. It is interesting to think that Enoch may have been among the first, of many humans, to be space napped taken away in a spaceship . The following quotes from the Book of Enoch are pink, the rest of the quotes are blue. 39/3 means chapter and verse, as we use 39:3. 39/3: a whirlwind carried me off from the earth There are numerous references to whi rlwinds which spirited Enoch away into the sky. The angels showed me all the hidden things and mine eyes saw all the secret things of heaven. Enoch saw views that no man shall see. In 33/4, Enoch states: I saw a great and glorious device. Enochs_Trip 14/18-19: I looked and saw a lofty throne: its appearance was as crystal and the wheels thereof as the shining sun from underneath the throne came streams of flami ng fire so great that I could not look thereon. Enoch mentions crystals and wheels. The throne could be a vehicle where the ange ls sat and underneath were fires from the rocket thrusters. The vision caused me to fly and lifted me upward and bore me into heaven. In The Book of Enoch God is never mentioned; only plural gods or angels.

The main reason Enoch s Book was deemed heresy and taken out of the Old Testament could have been the accurate astronomy. Page after page concerns the sun, moon, yearly cycles and heavenly statistics. Paths of the sun and moon, their stately orbits, courses of the luminaries and in their circular chariots are only a few quotes of Enochian wisdom. 75/8: And I saw in the heaven running in the world, above those portals in which revolve the stars that never set. Only from space are there stars that never set. Remember, the Church during the time of Ecumenical editing condemned accurate a stronomy. (Ask Galileo). Religious officials wanted the public to think that the Earth was flat, did not move and was in the center of all things. As I report in my book, the Sumerian scribes reveal how many craft were involved in the Annunaki visit and, from the legends, and traditions, of later Middle Ea stern peoples, we learn that they were circular and that they were what we would today call flying saucers . The reason why their true nature has been obscured is because they were given a religious interpretation.

I t is such a dreadful shame that the church, in all its holy zeal , has neglected, o r even destroyed, so many of the world s great writings. One wonders how differen t theology would be today if religion had not stood in the way of true knowledge . THE CAST: Noah, The Seafarer The Bible does not say much about Noah. I think that the most impressive thing that we are told about him is that Noah walked with God. Gen. 6:9. This is the same statement that was made about Enoch: the Astronaut. It is the same picture that the Bible paints of Adam in the garden, before he disobeyed Jehovah the fi rst time. We have always been taught that this means that they had spiritual fe llowship with each other. I suppose that was included, yet it seems that the wo rd, walk, implies moving on feet. Just in passing, it can be mentioned that Noa h was the great grandson of Enoch and it appears that Enoch taught his children well. ancient_god In speaking of the flood, and the animals in the ark, Mr. Seagraves states that a sheep is the average size of all mammals on earth. This allows for the variat ion between polar bears and mice, for example, because, on the average they are about the size of sheep. He also said that 35,000 sheep could have been on one level of Noah s Ark. There were three levels, but according to him, all the anima ls were on one level. Those who have studied the Bible story about the ark, agr ee that the ark was about 75 ft. (25 m) x 450 ft (76 m) for a total of 33,750 sq uare feet of floor space on one level. To put 35,000 sheep into 33,750 square f eet, each sheep would have had slightly less than one square foot to stand in. Mr. Seagraves tells us that the animals were adults and that they were in the ar k for more than one year. From: Sons of God Return, Kelly L. Segraves (Fleming H Revell, New Jersey) It is not possible that a living adult sheep can be put i nto a space of only one foot square. According to Mr. Seagraves argument, it so unds as if each animal was stuck in its square foot of space, packed like sardin es, unable to move for a whole year. What would Noah have done to get food and water to each animal? Furthermore, there would not have been enough air for the m to breath, the heat and the moisture content in the ark would have been unbear able. noa_ark1 There are many Bible teachers who hold similar points of view as Mr. Seagraves, Ernst Mayr, gives the number as 17,600. (kinds of animals) Allowing for two of each species on the ark, plus seven of the few so-called clean kinds of animals, p lus a reasonable increment for known extinct species, it is obvious that not mor e than, say, 50,000 animals were on the ark (Morris, 1987). Some have estimated that there were as many as 25,000 kinds of animals represent ed on the ark. This is a high-end estimation. With two of each kind and seven of some, the number of animals would exceed 50,000, though not by very much, relat ively speaking. Regardless, whether there were 16,000 or 25,000 kinds of animals , even with two of each and seven of some, scholars agree that there was plenty

of room for all of the animals on the ark, plus food and water with room to spar e. From:Got Questions.org Others have even suggested that each animal was in its own cage. Others have su ggested that before the flood came, Noah trained all 35,000 animals to do their p rivate business into containers so that Noah and his sons would not have so much work to do while on the ark! I wonder if the people who came up with that idea, were maybe just being facetious. But, remember, these arguments are prone to come from people who might also say, It is quite clear from this that God was to bring a worldwide cataclysmic flood upon all the earth. It covered all the high hills. It didn t cover the tall mount ains we see today, because these mountains didn t exist before the flood. There wa s no Mt. Everest. There were no Rocky Mountains. These were formed during and fo llowing the flood. From: Creation Science Network However, they insist that the flood happened only about 4,500 years ago. No sel f-respecting geologist will agree that the mountains are this young. Many geolo gists believe that the Rocky Mountain Range is between 80 million to 100 million years old. All of this was just a sidelight to point out the folly of those traditional vie wpoints. I have a lot more trouble accepting those wild calculations than I hav e accepting the story of the flood, as it is found in the Bible; a story, which Mr. Seagraves tell me, I cannot accept, because I believe in UFO s. There are many interesting hypothesis as to how saving the animals in The Flood co uld have happened. Mr. Yurchey explained it this way. It is scientifically pos sible to place a life form in suspended animation reduced down to its DNA. Nowhe re in the Bible does it mention that Noah went out and gathered each animal. It only says Noah brought them into the Ark. If the life cannisters were all assemble d for the Noahs by the gods and the simple people merely carried them in and sec ured them in place, then this does explain the Noah story. He also says, Nowhere in the Bibl e does it mention that Noah went out and gathered each animal. While this is tr ue, the Bible does say, two of every kind will come to you. Gen. 6:20. So Noah did not need to go chasing wild animals. As far as DNA goes, the Bible says, A nd you shall take for yourself of all food that is eaten, and you shall gather i t to yourself; and it shall be food for you and for them. Gen. 6:21. As I under stand it, DNA in canisters, does not need food. The Epic of Gilgamesh (which is older than the oldest part of the Bible) says th at during the heavy downpour of the great flood, No one can see his fellow, Nor can the people be recognized from heaven, The gods were frightened by the deluge , and shrinking back, they ascended. THE CAST: Abraham, the Host One day while Abraham was sitting at the door of his tent, what appeared to be t hree dusty, tired and hungry men showed up. The Bible tells us that one of them was the Lord and two of them were angels. The angels had come, with the Lord, to do the actual manual work. The very facts that Abraham offered them food to eat, shade to sit in and water to wash their feet, and the fact that they accept

ed these gracious gifts, indicate that they, including the Lord, are physical; t hey needed material refreshing. The pleas of Abraham, for the saving of Sodom a nd Gomorrah, were made directly to the Lord. While Abraham was detaining the Lo rd with his pleadings, the angels went on ahead to Sodom. Gen.18-19 We have been taught that the Lord is omniscient, which means that he knows every thing. It is interesting to note the words that the Lord spoke to Abraham. Wor ds that contradict the teaching that the Lord knows everything. Because the out cry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great and their sin is very grave, I will go d own to see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry which has c ome to me: and if not, I will know. Gen. 18:20 Did the all knowing God need to investigate in order to ascertain the truth? He said, after I investigate, I will know. Maybe this Lord is a less profoundly, gl orious God than we commonly hold Him to be. Still, He is a being of superior de velopment that came from outer space and appeared to Abraham to be a God. It is Jehovah who sent His Son to pay the debt our sins incurred, and because of that , if there were no other reasons, He is the one who deserves our worship. The angels spent the night, in Sodom, in Lot s house; they told him that the Lord had sent them to destroy the city because of the gross sins of the people. Lot and his family were not eager to leave the city. The Bible says, and he lingere d; so the men seized him and his wife and his two daughters and they brought him f orth and set him outside the city. Gen.19:16 The words, set him outside the cit y, gives one the impression that the angels, carrying Lot and his family, went t hrough the air, and once they were outside the city walls the angels landed and set them down on the ground. That is the last we read of the angels in this con nection. In the next scene, we find Lot speaking with the Lord. The Lord said to him, Flee for your life; do not look back or stop anywhere in the valley, (wh ere atomic radiation can reach you, but) flee to the hills, lest ye be consumed. Gen. 19:17 The Lord rained on Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the Lord out of he aven. Gen. 19:24, in our scientific day might well have been written like this a nd the Lord dropped an atomic bomb on these cities. For not only were the peopl e of the city killed but also that which grew on the ground was destroyed. Gen.1 9:25. When Abraham looked toward all the land of the valley, the smoke of the la nd went up like the smoke of the furnace. Gen.19:28 This does create the pictu re, in the mind, of the smoke of an atomic blast, rising as the smoke of a furna ce. The angels directed Lot and his family to save their lives by running to the mountain. A land mass can protect one from a nuclear blast. The cities were cons umed with brimstone and fire. This is a perfect description of a nuking. A mushroom cloud moving vertically could be the meaning of went up as the smoke of a furnac e. Lot s wife did not make it; not because she looked back, but because she trailed behind the rest of her family. A primitive seeing an atomic explosion would be mo re than stunned; they would tend to stop in their tracks. Not looking back is go od advice to those running for their lives. The pillar of salt could have come fro m finding her body later and discovering the effects of radiation. Finally, hidi ng in a cave because of the fall-out until the land was ready for habitation is ve ry logical. Also, wars of the gods occurred. Nuclear warfare was not beyond the capability o f the angels. Robert Oppenheimer, creator of modern atomics and a student of ear ly books of India, knew that nuclear wars happened in the Old World. The deserts of today are the result of ancient, atomic wars. From: Copyright 2002-2012 by D oug Yurchey With these previous quotations in mind, let us look at a few statements made by Mr. Segraves in Sons of God Return. Why then do advocates of UFOlogy insist on making claims that require reinterpretations of the Bible. He says that there i s a great supply of natural gas in the Great Rift valley (where Sodom and Gomorr ah used to be) and that the Lord caused an earthquake thereby disturbing the nat ural gas which ignited with the salt, sulfur, and bitumen to cause complete dest ruction of these cities. Temporarily, admitting that this sounds like a plausible theory, I ask; who is n ow reinterpreting the Bible? First, concerning the destruction of these two cit ies, the Bible says nothing about an earthquake, and secondly, the Bible specifi cally says, The Lord rained on Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire out of heaven . Rain does not come out of the ground as a natural gas fire would! Unless, we reinterpret the Bible, which Mr. Segraves accuses us of doing, and unless we for ce the Bible to say something that is not written there, it is hard to image the fire that fell on Sodom and Gomorrah as coming out of the ground. He is the on e who put words into the Bible. Mr. Segraves also says that The use of an atomic explosion seems strange in the light of the message today where men are warned constantly, by the beings fr om spacecrafts, to lay aside nuclear weapons, to stop our experiments with atomi c energy because the saucerians have long ago learned that this is the wrong typ e of power does it not seem inconsistent that we are told on the one hand that the saucerians leveled the cities by atomic explosion and on the other that we should have nothing to do with atomic power? Segrav es (Fleming H Revell, New Jersey) To this contention, I reply that it does not seem at all inconsistent for eit her, or both, of two reasons; the saucerians want to have sole control of atomic energy so as to be one st ep ahead of humans. or they have long ago (perhaps at Sodom and Gomorrah) learned that it is not the right kind of power to use, and so they are discouraging humans, by their r epeated messages, from using it. THE CAST: Jacob the Dreamer Jacob came to a certain place, and stayed there that night, because the sun had se t. Taking one of the stones of the place, he put it under his head and lay down in that place to sleep. And he dreamed that there was a ladder set upon the ear th, and the top of it reached to heaven; and behold the angels of God were ascen ding and descending on it! And behold, the Lord stood above it and said I am th e Lord, the God of Abraham your father and the God of Isaac; the land on which y ou lie I will give to you and to your descendants and by you and your descendants shall all the families of the earth bless themselves Then Jacob awoke from his slee p and said, surely the Lord is in this place; and I did not know it. And he was a fraid and said, How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven . Gen. 28:10-17 A modern, literal interpretation of Jacob s dream in the city of Luz might rea d like this. Jacob stopped travelling because the sun had set. Having arranged his uncomfortable bedding, he lay down and fell asleep. Half asleep, he saw a

ladder, standing on the ground, with its top attached to a spacecraft. In this state of semi-consciousness, he saw the crew of the spaceship preparing for a jo urney. There were robots climbing up and down the ladder with provisions on the ir backs. Then Jacob saw the commander of the spaceship standing at the top of the ladder, supervising the loading procedures. The Captain of the spaceship, u sing his audio amplifying apparatus, said to Jacob: I am the Lord, the God of Abr aham, your father and the God of Isaac. I am the national God of Israel, and he re is my promise to you: the nation of Israel will become great and all the eart h will be blessed because of what I will do through Israel . Then Jacob awoke to his full senses, with a start, and said, Surely the Lord and his spaceship are in this place, and when I fell asleep I didn t even realize it . Jacob in his state o f bewilderment said, How awesome is this place! This spaceship is none other th an the house of God, and this UFO is the way to get to heaven . He called the nam e of that place Bethel, which means, the house of God. We must not imagine that the ladder he saw was almost infinitely long and that i t ended up in the mist of the starry heavens, like we, as children, always did. According to Dr. Strong, the word heaven in the Old Testament has two meanings. First, the sky in which the clouds move, and second, the higher ether where the celestial bodies revolve. With that definition in mind, it seems just as right to imagine that the ladder reached only from earth to a hovering spacecraft. Many years later, on his way back home Jacob spent the night alone to meet w ith God. He got more than he anticipated. A man wrestled with him until the br eaking of the day. Gen. 32:24. It would be easy to dismiss this story and say t hat Jacob wrestled with another man, if the story did not continue with more fac ts. Later, the person that had wrestled with Jacob said, you have striven with God and with men and have prevailed. Gen. 32:28. We cannot tell ourselves that the one wrestling with him, in this case, was just a man, because the word used is plural, men. The Lord is saying, before now, you wrestled with men, but now, it will not be the same, for I am not a man. Later, in verse 30, we have these interesting words, So Jacob called the name of the place Peniel, which means the face of God , saying, For I have seen God face to face, and yet my life is preserv ed. It seems as if in these physical encounters the Lord is quite evenly matche d with men, because this God, wrestling with Jacob, said, Let me go, for the day is breaking. Jacob replied I will not let you go. There is no argument from Bi ble translators that Jacob was wrestling with the Lord. In every case, in this story, where the word, God, is used, it is capitalized. Furthermore, Hosea, wri ting of this encounter, very plainly said, And in his strength he (Jacob) strug gled with God. 12:3. Are we willing to believe what the Bible tells us, or is i t more comfortable to hide behind standard theology? jacob_god THE CAST: Moses in Egypt From the time the Lord called Moses, to lead the children of Jacob out of Egypt, to the end of his life, Moses communicated with Him. Moses was born to God-fea ring parents, and saved from death at the hand of Egypt s king by Jehovah, the Lor d of Israel. God had told Jacob that his offspring would be captives in Israel for four hundred and thirty years. When that time neared its end, it was time f or God to prepare a servant, one who would lead Israel to the land of Canaan. Moses had spent forty years in Egypt learning their books and culture. He also learned about the Jews and their captivity. Then, of necessity, he fled to the wilderness and spent forty years there. It was there that he became a shepherd and married. During that time, he became acquainted with the wilderness through which the Israelites would soon be passing; he needed to know it well. From th e time that the Jews entered the wilderness, it was another forty years before t hey could leave it again. It was also in that wilderness that Moses died.

The first time that the Lord appeared to Moses he said, I am the God of your fat her, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Ex. 3:6. It wa s an official introduction; until then Moses knew only the gods of Egypt. These words, by Jehovah, indicate again, that there is more than one god, but that Je hovah s special interest is Israel. He did not say, I am the God of the Persians, the Babylonians or the North American Indians. They each have their own gods t hat look after them. He is saying, You, house of Israel, are my personal projec t. I made your fathers a promise, and now that I have remembered it again I am going to keep it. In the Bible, it reads this way, God heard their groaning, an d God remembered his covenant with Abraham. After Moses had been a shepherd for forty years, the Lord told him to return to Egypt. He told Moses to gather the elders of the Children of Israel and to tell them that the Lord had chosen him to be their leader. Moses objected, saying t hat he could not speak well enough. Then the Lord, in one of his temperamental moods, became angry with Moses and said that Aaron could speak for him. The ang er of the Lord was kindled against Moses. Ex. 4:14. It seems as if Jehovah held a grudge against Moses because of this. We read later that Moses, his wife Zip porah and their son were travelling to Egypt to do the Lord s will. They stopped a t an inn for night, and the Lord met him at the inn and sought to kill him. Ex. 4:24 Zipporah quickly circumcised their son and showed the Lord what she had don e. By doing this, she reminded the Lord of his promise to Israel and she also r eminded Him, that He had better not kill Moses because Moses was the only one qu alified to lead Jacob s children out of Egypt. How is it the Zipporah had time to do a circumcision before Moses was dead? If the Lord wants to kill someone, does he need time? Were Moses and the Lord wres tling to the death? It sounds like it. We read, So he [the Lord] let him (Mose s) alone. Ex. 4:24-26. That is, they quit fighting and the Lord did not kill Mo ses. When Jehovah, the God of the Israelites, wanted his chosen race to leave Egypt, he got together with Moses and Aaron and did things in Egypt that had never happ ened anywhere else before. There were infestations of lice, frogs, locusts and water turning to blood; all of them were a torture for Egypt. Pharaoh was stubb orn, as the Jehovah had warned he would be. He refused to let Israel go to wors hip the Lord in the wilderness. Then, one day, when the Lord had just had enoug h of Pharaoh s stubbornness, He spoke to Moses and said, now is the time of beginn ings. Ex. 12:2. A new year is starting and new things are going to happen to y ou and to my people. I want all of my people to kill one lamb per family, if po ssible; they are to eat the meat, but above all, they must put blood on the door posts and on the lintels. Why? Because, it is the Lord s Passover. Ex, 12:11. T hat is, the Lord will pass over the houses of the Egyptians and the Jews in a UF O and, with an undefined blood detector, he is going to take readings of all the doorposts. If the Lord s blood detector does not reveal any blood on the doorpos ts the Lord will kill the firstborn of that house, whether Egyptian or Israelite . If, in fact, this God of the Jews knows everything, why did he need the techn icality of actual blood on the doorposts? Why not just let the Jews exercise fa ith, a faith that the Egyptians, apparently, did not have. Could the Lord not h ave based his killing mission on the presence or absence of faith? The Lord himsel f said, it is the LORD S passover. For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beas t; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the LORD. Ex. 12:11-12. The word, Passover, seems so expressive of the Lord passing over a n ation s buildings, perhaps, in some kind of flying machine. passover The morning after that incident, the Hebrews started their forty-year journey. The idea that there is only one God has come to us from the Hebrew s assertion tha

t they had only one God. The writers did not deny that there were other gods, b ut they did keep on insisting that they, as a nation, had only one God. In spea king of the plurality of the gods, Moses and the Israelites sang this song. Who is like thee, O Lord, among the gods? Ex. 15:11 It is not surprising that the Jews felt this way about Him, for Jehovah, the God of the Hebrews, had just fini shed delivering them out of the land of slavery. To reiterate a verse already expressed, the Lord said, On all the Gods of Egypt I will execute judgment. Ex. 12:12. He did not say on the idols of Egypt nor did he say, on the beings worshipped as gods in Egypt . He said, on all the gods of Eg ypt, and if they cross His path He will deal with them. He allowed for the fact that there are other Gods than He, but He will not tolerate His followers to pa y homage to other gods, regardless of how insignificant they seem! THE CAST: Moses in the Red Sea Mr. Dione, in God Drives a Flying Saucer has also expressed the idea that there was a UFO present at the time the children of Israel crossed the Red Sea and thr oughout their wilderness wanderings. He basis his theory on several statements found in the book of Exodus. The Lord went before them by day in a pillar of cloud to lead them along the wa y, and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, that they might travel b y day and by night. Ex.13:21. pillar_of_fire It is no more than logical to assume that this was a pillar of cloud from a UFO by day and a light beaming down from it at night. There is really nothing in th is situation, which seems difficult to do with a flying saucer.

Some people, who do not accept the Bible as having been written by God, say that these miracles were just natural events. It was the Jews good fortune to be at the right place at the right time to cash in on those natural events. In respon se many Christians get into a huff and insist that God was there and that he was working the miracles. However, on the other hand, if someone else says yes, Jeh ovah was there and He is to be credited for every miracle that He performed from his spaceship. The same Christians still get into a snit because that idea also does not fit the traditional teaching. There is just no way that anything new can be brought to light because they are afraid that it will upset their God s nat ure. Can the God of the Church not defend Himself even against new theories? We also notice in the story of the exodus that when the Egyptians were pursuing the Israelites a pillar of cloud, acting as a smoke screen, came between them an d the Egyptians to hide the fleeing Israelites. And the Angel of God, who went before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud went from before them and stood behind them. So it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel. Thus it was a cl oud and darkness to the one, and it gave light by night to the other, so that th e one did not come near the other all that night. Ex. 14:19-20. This would certainly be an effortless thing for an Almighty God to do. It is al so a simple task for Jehovah, in a flying saucer, to do. Smoke seems to be a co mmon manifestation in association with UFOs. The association of great winds with spaceships has become almost instinctive. T

his has happened because of many such reports from Biblical sources by the ancie nt Hebrews; other ancient writings and from current secular reports. From an a ncient Indian epic, conservatively estimated to be five thousand years old, we l earn that the flying machines, navigated at great heights with the aid of quicks ilver and a great propulsive wind. Not only were the waters of the sea rolled back with a strong wind, but the waters were a wall to them on their right hand and on th eir left. Ex.14:21-22. We must notice that the Bible says that a strong east w ind drove the sea back. Actually, the situation is impossible to imagine. red_sea_moses First: If the wind were strong enough to develop a tunnel for them to walk throu gh, the Israelites would have been blown off their feet and into the waters of t he Red Sea or, maybe, back into Egypt. Second: The Red Sea lies north to south and if the wind came from the East it wo uld not create a tunnel in the water, it would blow a gigantic amount of water o n to the Israelites who were waiting to walk on the river bed. It has been proposed that spaceships can operate on the principle of anti-gravit y. That is, they can be put into a mode of operation in which the gravitational pull of the earth does not affect the space vehicle. Furthermore, it is also b elieved that it is possible for a spacecraft to set up its own field of gravity. That field of gravity would be powerful enough to make waters rise from the ea rth and to make it stand like walls as they did in the Red Sea at the time the I sraelites were fleeing from Egypt. Perhaps two, or more, spaceships would be ne eded to accomplish this feat; some on the right and some on the left, each side pulling the water from the center toward itself. The strong east wind that the Bible mentions could be the by-product of the anti-gravitational pull of the UFO s . There are several reasons to believe that spaceships have their own source of gr avity. The first one is that people, and saucerians, need a central source of g ravity to maintain their equilibrium in space. The second is that if a spaceshi p is to travel at just below the speed of light when it is close to a mass with gr avity (the earth, for example), the UFO must have the characteristics of being t otally weightless. This can be accomplished be neutralizing the external gravit y s effect on the spaceship. Lest we think that spaceships would not have the gravitational pull to lift the waters of the Red Sea from earth, because the gravitational pull of the earth wo uld greatly over ride the UFO s gravitational pull, let us consider the moon s gravi tational pull. The moon is about two hundred thirty eight thousand miles from t he center of the earth, its diameter is just over two thousand miles and its mas s is only one forty ninth that of the mass of the earth. Admittedly, they can back up many of their doctrines with the Bible, from their point of view, but they refuse to look at any other facts, whi ch are also found in the Bible. After many years of studying these topics I have come to the conclusion that Von Daniken s theories are easier to accept than those of many Bible teachers or other scientists who try to debunk Von Daniken. Some of the arguments the Bi ble teachers use and the way they twist what the Bible says just pressures a per son to leave Bible study altogether. The link you sent is not at all convincing. For example, how did the anc ients cut all five sides of a stone out of a rock without removing at least one of the sides beside the stone? Have you ever wondered how many people it would t ake to lift rocks weighing so many tons? Certainly more than could crowd around that stone, even if they used long poles with which to carry the massive rocks.
