No, in all these things we are more than conquerors(A)through him who loved us.(B) 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[a] neither the present nor the future,(C) nor any powers,(D) 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God(E) that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.(F) Intro: How powerful is the word LOVE? When you hear the word LOVE, what do you see? LOVE-IN-ACTION. FINDING LOVE. I. Worldly/ Secular Love World- Cosmos- changing, temporary, will be destroyed What can we find in the world? John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. Romans 8:35 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Tribulation/ distress Misery, unhappiness WORLDLY LONGINGS People are not contented. Always longing for more. If we long for something outside of Gods will, it may be granted us but will cause MISERY! We are bombarded with visual images and alluring voices everywhere we go. Ungodly longings come from dissatisfaction from 4 categories: a. Reputation- desire other people to think they are beautiful, rich, intelligent, successful b. Marital status- desire to be married or married to someone else or change something about their husbands c. Money- desire for more

d. Children- wish they had some, they could change the ones they have, control their childrens decisions WE NATURALLY LONG FOR WHAT WE DONT HAVE! Then, we try to find contentment from WORLDLY/ UNGODLY/SECULAR love and affection either from things or from people. Wrong relationships, addictions, wrong principles/philosophies, wrong hobbies/habits End result- MISERY and DESTRUCTION. WASTED TIME-WASTED LIFE. Wages of sin is DEATH! Rom. 3:23 II. AGAPE LOVE/ GODLY LOVE. Rom. 8 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? John 3:16. Grace. Unmerited favor. Unconditional love. Jn. 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. AGAPE is a NOUN- love, goodwill GOD IS LOVE/ GOD IS AGAPE. 1 Jn.4:16 Love personified in CHRIST. III. Power of Christs Love A. Salvation and Eternal Life Acts 4:12 B. We are made more than conquerors/ overcomers through his love. Nothing can separate us from His love! Rom. 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. C. Perfect love casts out all fear. (1 Jn. 4:18) There is real power for fear can be demolished! Perfect love DRIVES OUT fears! Are you worried sick with so many things? Worried about your past, future, finances, what people will think about you? ALL THESE IN YOUR MIND WILL BRING YOU TORMENT! Abide in His love by meditating on His Word, by listening to His Word and by applying His Word in your life. The cure by Joyce Meyer: First John 4:16 points out that we should be conscious of God's love. It needs to be more than just a biblical fact for uswe need to experience it daily. Several years ago I was so desperate for a revelation of God's love that I began to keep a journal of the things He did in my life that I believed displayed His love. No matter how small they were, I recorded them. When people gave me things, I recorded it. When I was shown favor in situations, I recorded it. When God answered prayers and did things for me that I had requested, I recorded it This process helped me become conscious of His love, and I began to heal. I found out that the love of God is the cure for the insecure. First John 4:18 says that perfect love casts out fear. If you're afraid of facing a person or a situation in your life, God's love can help you put your fears to rest. Gods love in Christ, the love of Jesus has the power to drive out all fears in your life. He can make you whole and complete. Are you longing for love and affection? We are secured in His love. We have confidence in Him. We have peace in His love. We can obtain a balanced state of mind through His love.
