Controlling the quantities of fertilizer you use helps your crop yield while monitoring your expenses. The Precision assets of KUHN fertilizer spreaders are: - Lateral regularity via double-recrossing; - No dose effect with the CDA system, for optimal distribution; - Simple adjustment to avoid errors.

This lateral regularity must be constant, no matter the application rate or forward speed. Application rate proportional to the forward speed (D.P.A.E.) or application rate adjustment by GPS must not compromise the quality of fertilizer distribution.

CDA distribution system designed for current and future demands

Fertilizer spreaders must adapt to many different products, at different application rates and different working widths, but with fast and easy adjustment. The CDA system, common to the entire AXIS range, meets these goals and provides comfort at work.

Flow variations depreciate spreading evenness

Which farmer has not at times noticed that one spreading operation was less even than another one, although having used the same fertilizer? or that low application rates are more difficult to spread than higher rates? The cause: the flow variation that causes spreading unevenness at low and high application rates, due to a different granule behaviour in the pallets.

AXIS: how to avoid flow variations?

The CDA distribution excels in spreading evenness across the whole width. The hopper base and outlet specifications have the following effect: - the opening angle changes according to the flow, - its shape modifies the fertilizer drop point on the distribution pallets. An exclusivity! Result: no flow rate variation for a constant spreading evenness over the whole width whatever the speed or application rate variations during work.

An agitator with extra-slow rotation:

- The 17 min-1 very slow rotating agitator (patent) regulates the supply to the spreading disc and promotes fertilizer flow. Result: preserved granules: - The drive rods have a high elastic limit: greater safety for mechanisms, even in the presence of a foreign object, - No maintenance required.

Set working width in just one click!

Modify working width or spreading by swivelling the base. No tools needed and done in just a few seconds. Manual on AXIS 20.1/30.1/40.1, electric with the Quantron E on AXIS 50.1. No manual contact with the fertilizer! Machine always horizontal!

Application rate setting: DFC proportional graduations
Make it easy to set your fertilizer spreader by using DFC (Direct Flow Control) graduations proportional to the application rate. To increase or reduce the application rate to be spread you simply enlarge or reduce the size of the outlet opening. With DFC, increasing your application rate by 10% for example, is obtained by enlarging the opening by the same percentage. Result: effortless machine setting. When checking flow rate, no need to run 4 or 5 tests. With the DFC system, your machine is set with only 2 tests: - 1st test, settings taken from the spreading charts; - 2nd test: after correction with DFC, your machine is set.

TELIMAT : trouble free border spreading

TELIMAT is a deflector used to prevent fertilizer waste and respect environmental instructions.

Fast and well delimited borders

- TELIMAT is characterized by its double setting (patented): positioning and orientation of the deflectors according to working width and type of fertilizer. The trajectory of the granulate is modified. - The TELIMAT is set up without leaving the tractor or disengaging the pto and without having to stop: maximum comfort with no loss of time. - Adjust your TELIMAT for spreading optimized for yield or environment. - Optional equipment: TELIMAT position sensors on the QUANTRON E control box.

QUANTRON E: more than just a control box!

The QUANTRON E box is used with a machine equipped with D.P.A.E. (Electronic device controlling application rate proportional to forward speed) or built-in weighing system (AXIS W). - With D.P.A.E.: run the flow rate test with your fingertips. QUANTRON E changes the openings according to forward speed to ensure that your application rate is respected. - With weighing system: The box permanently displays the amount of fertilizer in the hopper. It controls outlet openings during work according to the programmed application rate and the quantity of fertilizer remaining in the hopper. Practical: no need to run a stationary calibration test.

Your spreading assistant

During spreading, quantities and yields are managed with great accuracy: - simple application rate programming, - Separate control of left and right outlets for half-widths, - Simultaneous or separate application rate adjustment per side via a freely adjustable setting, - Work counter for 200 fields (surface, date, application rate, fertilizer type), - Integrated spreading charts with possibility to save personal fertilizers.

Compatible for GPS or N-SENSOR application rate adjustment

With an RS232 serial link, your spreading plan is followed to the letter. Benefit from your ground's best potential while saving your quantities of fertilizer. The Right Dose in the right place!

Move from one tractor to another

It can be used on several tractors (machine rings, contractors): - Store the speed signal for 4 different tractors, each tractor can be named; - Use the speed signal for your tractor via the ISO 11786 plug or the speed sensor supplied with the machine, or connect a GPS speed sensor (e.g. Dickey John I-SPEED). Useful for tractors of machinery rings or contractors.

To facilitate traceability
QUANTRON E is pre-equipped to transfer the work done to a PC or a PALM. You can also transfer the spreading charts for a new type of fertilizer to the QUANTRON E.

The design of the AXIS 20.1 provides the latest innovations while ensuring application rate accuracy, quality of fertilizer distribution and easy adjustment. Its modular capacity from 1000 to 2300 litres and compact design make it ideal for use on medium-sized tractors. Its spreading power covers working widths of 12 to 28 m.

All stainless steel

Using 100% stainless steel components: integral body, hopper bases, outlets, cylinder rods, and attachment hardware ensure increased service life. Disc guard is standard. Conforms to safety standard EN 14017 / A1. Standard on all AXIS models.

Easy to attach to the tractor

The 2 coupling heights make it easy to attach to tractors of different sizes for filling (machine on the ground) or late top spreading.

Valve guide
The fertilizer drop point onto the disc determines the working width and distribution. To increase its accuracy, the valve guide follows the flow of fertilizer until it is taken up by the blades, without spilling granulate.

Integral continuous weighing from 12 to 50 m*

AXIS 40.1 W and 50.1 W has a built-in weighing system providing automatic, continuous regulation as you work. Every farmer notices a variation in fertilizer flow rate due to external hygrometry or climatic conditions during spreading operations or due to the method of storing the fertilizer. This weighing system will automatically adjust outlet openings without driver intervention, to respect the application rate to be spread. Result: non-negligible saving of fertilizer!

Optimal integration of the weighing system

The original, patented design of the weighing system consists of a strong hitch frame fitted with two weigh cells with a capacity of 10 tonnes each, and in the upper part, a link rod connected to the machine frame.
