As a parent, are you: Feeling stressed? Struggling to understand and respond to your childs difficult behaviour? Is your child: Struggling at home, at school, or with friends? Experiencing conflict, aggression, anger outbursts, irritability or withdrawing behaviour? Find ways to better understand what is going on for your child/teen. Rather than teach only one way of parenting we help parents see choices that support healthy relationships while setting limits. 10 week 1-hour interactive program that will support you in learning new perspective and understanding in your relationship with your child. Learn about the needs of your child and yourself, and find a balance in getting those needs met. Your group leaders will work hard to understand the challenges you face and support you and your relationship with your child. Parents who participate in Connect tell us that they feel respected and supported.
The Connect Program is Community-University Partnership between researchers at Simon Fraser University, the Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre and the BC Ministry of Children and Family Development.
