ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE
In consideration of the matters set forth in the
Petition for Rule to Show Cause filed herein this June 22,
1964, by the Plaintiff Andrew Young, it is
ORDERED:
1. That L. o. Davis, as Sheriff of St. Johns
County, Florida; Virgil Stuart, Chief of Police of St. Aug-
ustine, a municipal corporation of St. Johns County, Flori-
da; Joseph A. Shelley, as Mayor of St. Augustine, a munici-
pal corporation of St. Johns County, Florida; Farris Bryant
as Governor of the State of Florida; ,Tames W. Kynes, as At-
torney General of the State of Florida; Major Johnnie W. j
lTourdan, Florida Highway Patrol, and all persons acting unde
their direction, authority or control in connection with the
entry, the promulgation and any attempted enforcement (up to
the hour of hearing fixed by this Order) of the Proclamation
of the Respondent Farris Bryant, as Governor of the State of
Florida, of June 15, 1964, the Executive Order No. 1 of
said Respondent Bryant of June 15, 1964, and the Executive
order No. 2 of the said Respondent Bryant of June 20, 1964,
are directed to appear before this Court

then and there show cause, if any they have, why they should
not be required to obey, conform to and abide by this
Court

s Preliminary Injunction ente1:ed in this cause June
9, 1964, and its Order dated June 15, 1964, denying the
Motion of the State of Florida (filed June 13, 1964) for
modification of said Preliminary Injunction, or, in the
alternative, why they and each of them should not be held
in contempt of this Court for failure to obey the lawful
Orders of this Court (said Preliminary Injunction and said
Order denying the Motion of the State of Florida to modify
same) .
2. The United States Marshal for this District
is directed to serve this Order Lo Show cause, together
with a copy of the Petition for same, upon each of the
Respondents above-named.
3. The Clerk of this Court is directed to mail
copies hereof to counsel heretofore appearing in this cause
for the Respondents:
