DRIVER ANODE DC OVERLOAD / DRIVER ANODE CURRENT CALIBRATION The adjustments for the Driver panel meters and current overloads are located in the HVDC Capacitor Assemblies (Unit 3 and Unit 7). The front panel meter is driven by a current sensor 3MT2. The overload current relay 3K13 is in series with the front panel meter. Remove the 115 VAC input power connections to 3TB1-1 and 3TB1-2. This will remove normal power from 3PS1. Connect a spaded lug test line cord to 3TB1-1 and 3TB1-2. This will allow the overload relay circuitry to be operated without normal power applied to the cabinets. Connect the test line cord to a local utility 115 VAC outlet. Connect a low voltage / high current power supply positive terminal to the positive terminal of a precision DC Ammeter. Connect the negative output of the test power supply to a # 14 AWG wire. Loop the wire one time through the current sensor 3MT2. Connect the other end of the # 14 AWG wire to the positive output of the test power supply. (A 1 ohm 10 watt resistor may be added in series with the power supply if the power supply is not a current mode unit). The test power supply will simulate the output current of the driver anode circuit. Turn on the test power supply and increase the current output (through the # 14 awg loop wire) to 2.0 amperes. Adjust A3R27 to indicate 2.0 amperes on the DRIVER CURRENT panel meter. Connect an ohm meter to pins 9 and pin 13 of DRIVER ANODE DC OVLD relay. Increase the test power supply current until the 3K13 opens. Record the current trip point _______ amperes. Decrease the test power supply loop current to 0.00 amperes. Increase the test power supply loop current to 2.50 amperes. Adjust 3R25 to actuate the 3K13 DRIVER ANODE DC OVERLOAD relay. Verify repeated relay activations when varying the test power supply current loop current between 2.0 and 3.0 amperes. Trip must be repeatable at 2.5 amperes. If the FPA Anode Current circuitry is to be calibrated do not disconnect the test line cord at this time and proceed to the FPA ANODE DC OVERLOAD / FPA ANODE CURRENT CALIBRATION. Disconnect the test line cord from the utility outlet. Reinstall the 115 VAC input power connections to 3TB1-1 and 3TB1-2. Test and calibration complete.

FPA ANODE CURRENT CALIBRATION / FPA ANODE DC OVERLOAD The adjustments for the Driver panel meters and current overloads are located in the HVDC Capacitor Assemblies (Unit 3 and Unit 7). The front panel meter is driven by a current sensor 7MT1. Loop the wire five times through the current sensor 7MT1. Connect the other end of the # 14 AWG wire to the positive output of the test power supply. (A 1 ohm 10 watt resistor may be added in series with the power supply if the power supply is not a current mode unit). The test power supply will simulate the output current of the driver anode circuit. Turn on the test power supply and increase the current output (through the # 14 awg loop wire) to 10 amperes. Adjust 7R14 to indicate 10.0 amperes on the DRIVER CURRENT panel meter. Decrease the test power supply to 0.00 amperes. Connect an ohm meter to pins 9 and pin 13 of DRIVER ANODE DC OVLD relay. Increase the test power supply current until the 7K7. This should be a closed relay contact. Increase the test power supply until the FPA ANODE DC OVERLOAD relay 7K12 contact opens. Record the current trip point _______ amperes. Decrease the test power supply loop current to 0.00 amperes. Increase the test power supply loop current to 15.00 amperes. Adjust 7R15 to actuate the 7K7 DRIVER ANODE DC OVERLOAD relay. Verify repeated relay activations when varying the test power supply current loop current between 0.00 and 15.00 amperes. Trip must be repeatable at 15.00 amperes. If the Driver anode circuitry is to be calibrated do not disconnect the test line cord at this time and proceed to the DRIVER ANODE DC OVERLOAD / DRIVER ANODE CURRENT CALIBRATION. Disconnect the test line cord from the utility outlet. Reinstall the 115 VAC input power connections to 3TB1-1 and 3TB1-2. Test and calibration complete.
